“Damn it! What do you have against In Na and you want to ruin her, huh? Did she do something to you?”

Confused, she shook her head.

“If that’s the case, then it is really in your nature to ruin someone’s life!”

“I-it’s not like that, it just happen that—”

“In Na’s mother do not approve of Jaejoong,” he stopped her from whatever she is about to say. “for the reason that her mother is worried that the guy is a fortune hunter. I don’t like your lover either. For two reasons. First, I agree with Auntie. He could be a fortune hunter. Second, he already has a girlfriend but he was still able to betray her. But nevertheless, I could not afford to tell all of it to In Na. I don’t want her to be hurt again. And she loved this bastar—“

“Jae is a good man!” she said defensively, trying to control her temper. “You don’t have any right to judge anyone just because of your wrong perceptions.”

“And the only thing I can do for In Na is to make your face out of the circulation.” He continued, ignoring her outburst. “And by the time you went back to the circulation, I will make it sure that Jaejoong won’t even glance at you anymore.”

She smirked sarcastically. “And how will you do that? Destroy my reputation? Well, Mr. Kwon, I don’t have one. I already told you even before, I do not care what the reporters and medias will write about me. And I don’t even have a family to think about…”

In one swift moment, one loathing stare Jiyong was able to give her. Then after a while, heave a very deep sigh.

“Every person has a weakness, Miss Park. I promise I’ll find yours,” he threatened in a deep voice. “And the moment I will learn about it, I’ll shred you to pieces.” After saying it, Jiyong walked towards the lying on the carpeted floor key then walked straight towards the door.

Sandara got the first thing her eyes caught—the figurine on the side table and without second thought threw it on Jiyong.

It was also the exact moment the door was opened and the figurine landed there...making it shattered on the floor. Jiyong looked at her, narrowing his dark eyes dangerously.

“You will regret each day for letting me stay in this place, Kwon Jiyong!” she cried furiously. “I’ll make every minute of it a living hell for you!”

“It already is, Sandara. The first time I laid eyes on you.”

--

It’s already a while ago that Jiyong had left but Sandara remained staring on the door he had gone to. Then a moment later her gaze slowly shifted on the floor. She lifted her hand to cover , preventing herself from gasping.

On the stone flooring is the shattered figurine. And she cannot believe she just did throw it to him. She had never been that ruthless to someone in her entire life. She had always been a very submissive woman. She could not believe she would want to hurt the man.

In fact, she didn’t remember herself agitated like that. Her emotions had always been kept inside her. But ever since she crossed paths with Kwon Jiyong the emotions she does not know existed inside her own can be unleashed like that.

She slowly walked towards the broken figurine and sat behind her heels and picked one big piece. She was sure it was very expensive. Nothing about the Kwons were cheap.

But when she checked the figurine carefully, she groaned. It was not only expensive but it was also an antique. She was sure of it. It looked like the kinds she had seen in New York museums. And one more thing, what the figurine doing inside Jiyong’s room if it wasn’t expensive after all.

And she broke it. That’s why Jiyong held his gaze longer than the usual the shattered figurine. It must have been priceless

Full of regret and guilt she picked each figurine remaining pieces and placed it in one corner.

Then after a while stood up and went to the first door she had enter earlier. Wearily, she filled her lungs with sea air.

She stared much longer on the ocean but her mind is drifted somewhere. For how long she will stay in the island? She is sure that Jaejoong is worried about her. And maybe Jaejoong’s mom too.

Jaejoong trusted her…believed in her. But she wasn’t sure about Jaejoong’s mom. She does not want to think badly. In Jae’s mom collections of magazines wherein the important article about her are there. It’s not direct, yes, but the description and points in the said articles about her are so clear like water. And some write-ups seemed harmless but it left the readers imaginations to run wild.

And now that she had gone almost two days and the two of them do not know where she is. The one she is dreading to think is; what if Jae’s mom will think bad thing of her. That she might entertain the ideas about her that was has been in the write-ups are true after all. And Jaejoong might find a hard time to defend her.

She sighed. This is getting out of hand. She looked at the scenery and checked the surrounding. The place is silent with the soft flashes of waves against the rock, and the once and a while sounds from the seagulls consume the place.

Her eyes searched for a port. But she had seen none. Even Jiyong’s own yacht. How many miles they are far from the port? She wondered.

How can she esc
