Moon Byulyi is still tired.

She returns to her apartment after chatting with Heeyeon, mind still reeling from the revelation that Yongsun must be hurting too, not just her.

(Damn. Why is it that wherever Byul goes, pain follows?)

 She laughs hollowly and collapses on her sofa.

(It smells like the flowery perfume Yongsun wears, her mind wearily notes, and her heart pangs in confusion.)

She doesn’t want Yongsun to hurt, of ing course not, but what about her, though? She gets that what Heeyeon said was correct, and that her friend only wanted for their relationship not to crash and burn like others, but-

What Heeyeon said only left her more confused.

Why must she be the villain to Nam Yoondo and Kim Yongsun's romance? She never wanted to hurt anybody.

‘I’m always the bad guy, huh?’ Byulyi sighs, throwing her head onto the arm rest of the sofa. She stares at the white ceiling intently as if it would clear her thoughts.

‘Of course, Byulyi. Of course.’ She quirks her lips up in a wry smile, ‘You just have to up everything. Even the life of your loved one. Great.’ 

A bark answers her. Oh. Right. Daebakkie, her dog, jumps on her stomach and the rapper lets out a sudden exhale. She throws the puppy a half-hearted glare but her hand ruffles the pup’s fur. 

‘You really should not jump on mommy like that, Daebakkie.’ Byulyi lectures her dog softly, rubbing the spot behind his ears. The dog folds his legs and nuzzles against her hand.

‘Say, have you eaten yet? I’m sorry, mommy neglects you these days, huh?’ With that, she cradles the dog in her arms and goes off the sofa, slipping her fluffly slippers on and navigating her way to the dog bowl expertly, not bumping against any furniture. She sets the dog down and she almost crumbles at the sight.

-Daebakkie's bowl is full of dog food, and his water tin has water on it.

Yongsun.

Byulyi averts her gaze but she sees a tupperware on the top of her kitchen counter with a paper taped on it, saying: Byul-ah, I hope we can restore what we were before. -Kim Yongsun.

(Bull, Byulyi thinks. But what Heeyeon said lingers in her mind.
Should she give them another chance?)

She opens the container and she laughs at the absurdity of it all.
