We stumble
Don't be happyMoving on, Byulyi realizes, is hard.
Moving on is about not worrying about Yongsun (Has she eaten yet? What did she eat for breakfast- was it healthy? Has she arrived home? What time? Who was with her? She’s going out? With who? What is she wearing? It’s ing freezing and Byulyi's not pleased unless Yongsun's swarmed with scarves. But no. Moving on is not about that, because it’s not her job to worry about Yongsun excessively now. Yongsun has Eric.)
Moving on is about giving up. About letting go. About letting Yongsun go. (What is there to let go, though? They were never really together, Byulyi acquiesces.)
So Byulyi does all of that.
Byulyi distracts herself and just.... gives up.
She practices so much that she can probably dance blindfolded and still position herself correctly.
(Wheein and Hyejin approach her once, when Yongsun is on a date with Eric.
‘Unnie, are you sure you’re okay?’ the maknae line ask and Byulyi almost laughs bitterly. What does ‘okay’ even mean nowadays when Byulyi's ‘okay’s include her crying all night?
'I’m getting there.’ Byulyi doesn’t lie, and the two send her supportive looks with promises of a night-out.
The singular ‘night out’ becomes plural, though, and Byulyi doesn’t complain. Not really. Not when they coddle her and indulge her in a marathon of Pretty Little Liars when Byul's too tired to move.)
When she’s not with the maknaes she goes out with the ’92 liner squad (made up of B1A4's Baro & Sandeul, VIXX's Ken, BTS's Jin, EXID's Hani and her, MAMAMOO's Moonbyul.)
The company she enjoys the most is Hani's- no, Ahn Heeyeon's though.
One night, when Heeyeon invites her out, they settle inside a small run-down building with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is anything but superb, but the prices make their wallets sigh in relief. They order the night's special and-
And oh God Byulyi blanches as the waitress sets down a bowl of tteokbokki.
Heeyeon glances at the younger girl, eyes narrowed before she reaches across the tab
