I stood in the empty classroom, flicking a lighter once in a while. I was waiting for someone.
The room was dark, just like how I like it. Few holes from the covered windows emitted light in the room, enough for me to see a little bit of what was truly inside. Broken tables and old cupboards were everywhere, stacking one after another until some reached the high ceiling. It was like a hidden storage and dumping area and the broken things forming almost labyrinth around me.
I heard the door creaked open and in came Kai who was holding a brown file.
“Everything you asked for is here. Why are you looking for information about someone named Kim Namjoo anyway?” He asked before handing me the folder.
“Why do you care? You should just go back to the clubroom. Eunji unnie left us to-do list while she’s out in the Jeju Island.” I muttered.
Kai grinned albeit a cold one. “Should I tell you something more interesting than all the information you had on your hand? I happen to know one more fun fact about Kim Namjoo-ssi.”
I clicked my tongue, scanning his eyes that were as sly as mine. His grin turned into a smirk, and I was apprehensive if I should fancy his words or rub that freaking smile off his face.
The way Kim Namjoo’s name rolled of his lips is frustrating…
“What is it?” I demanded, the curiosity got the better on me.
He chuckled.
“Kim Namjoo-ssi and Jung Eunji used to date. They were lovers. In fact… I bet Kim Namjoo is still very much in love with our dear club president.”

“What?”
“You heard me. Kim Namjoo has always been in love with Jung Eunji, but weren’t courageous enough to confess.” Kai shrugged and turned away, about to leave as well. “How does it feel like being the second best again? Even to your fiancée? Even to Oh Se—“
“Don’t. Speak. His. Name.” I rolled off every syllable in despise, my glare strong as I stared at her back. “His been deleted out of this world by the mere memory of me.”
Kai gave me a sparing glance.
“He’s not gone as you might think. He’s looking for you. But his eyes were closed and so is your heart.” He paused and looked ahead. “I can’t believe we used to be great friends. Now you’ve turned into a mere stranger I didn’t know. You all abandoned me like that.”
