Kibum wakes up and there’s something tickling the side of his face. It’s a hand. He breathes gently and the shift in movement causes the hand to tickle his face, he wrinkles his nose. He wills his left hand to move, but it’s underneath his head, caught underneath his pillow. It must be his other hand then, Kibum reasons. He tries to move his right hand, but the fingers on his face still don’t move.

Wait, on second thought, I can’t feel my right hand at all. Is it asleep? Where is it even?

He moves his right fingers experimentally, feeling pinpricks shoot up and down his arm, and realizes it’s nowhere near his face and is in fact, squished under something cottony soft that moves slightly every few seconds.

What is this? It’s so soft.

He tugs his hand harder from underneath the soft heavy weight. An irritated groan sounds just next to his head.

What the—?

Kibum rips off his eye mask with his left hand, scrambling it out from underneath his pillow in alarm.

“Holy crap, you scared me!” Kibum’s panic dissolves, but the sudden release of adrenaline makes his heart race. “When did you get here?”

Jinki lips curve into a smile next to Kibum’s forehead, he lies completely still, unrattled given all commotion next to him. Jinki is laying on top of Kibum’s now dead arm, his arms folding in on themselves awkwardly as he curls up against Kibum’s side, his left fingers touching Kibum’s face.

“You were asleep when I got here, so I just snuggled up with you.” Jinki murmurs.

“That’s either the sweetest or the creepiest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m not sure which.”

Jinki flashes him a mega-watt smile, Kibum flushes.

“Ahhhh! Stop attacking me. I can’t take it. I surrender.” Kibum mock yells, squinting his eyes dramatically. A few seconds go by. “Hey! Are you going to open your eyes any time soon?”

“I’m sleeping.”

“No, you’re not. You’re talking... to me.” Kibum points out.

“I’m sleep-talking.”

Kibum rolls his eyes.

“Fine, at least get off my arm. It feels like a thousand needles are stabbing it.” Adrenaline courses through Kibum’s body, pushing blood through Kibum’s asleep arm, intensifying the prickling sensation.

Jinki sighs loudly to let Kibum know that he thought Kibum was being extremely demanding, but rolls away enough to release his arm.

A second later, Jinki rolls back like a spring, grabbing Kibum’s arm tightly.

Kibum laughs. “Let go. I’ll go make us some food… and coffee.” He adds when he gets no reply.

Jinki shakes his head.

“No, it’s my arm.”

“Really?” Kibum asks, raising his eyebrow. “‘’Cause I’m pretty sure it belongs to me.”

“No, you are wrong.” Jinki shakes his head more vigorously. “Please excuse me. I would like to cuddle with ‘my arm’ now.”

Kibum ruffles the front of Jinki’s hair with his free hand.

“You’re so cute, you know.”

Jinki nods. “I do, I do know.” He directs a stream of air upwards from his lips to blow the pieces of hair that have fallen in front of his eyes.

Kibum relents. “We can cuddle a little bit, but then we must get started on our day.”

Jinki finally opens his eyes, his eyes twinkling in the sunlight.

“Great!” Jinki glee is apparent from his “victory.” Kibum considers opening his mouth to complain, but he stops and just sighs. Jinki continues to hold Kibum’s arm, resting his head in the crook of Kibum’s shoulder.

Exactly one minute passes.

Jinki is so happy cuddling with “his” arm, he murmurs contentedly about its qualities, but Kibum… Kibum is bored to tears.

“Okay, that’s enough of that!” Kibum moves fast, ripping his arm quickly from Jinki.

“NOoooo!” Jinki clambers for Kibum’s arm again, but Kibum holds his arm across his body in a diagonal as far away as he can. It’s immature, but his opponent is relentless.

Jinki quickly moves on top of Kibum, darting underneath his arm before draping his limbs over Kibum’s body like a sunbathing cat. He rests his head on Kibum’s chest and relaxes his body, becoming a dead weight.

“Snurrflll lurrggglee.” Jinki murmurs into Kibum’s chest.

Is that a human language?

Kibum raises his eyebrows. “Come again?”

Jinki raises his head slightly, smiling into Kibum’s chest, but does not reply.

Kibum reaches forward, holding the sides of Jinki’s face, tugging it upwards and looks at him expectantly.

Jinki looks at him, his eyes squinting as he smiles. “Snuggle wuggle.” he murmurs.

“Still not any clearer, hon.” Kibum furrows his eyebrows.

Where was his Jinki to Korean translator when he needed it? Right… he’s his Jinki to Korean translator.

“Snuggle… wuggle?” Kibum repeats slowly.

“Yes, snuggle wuggle. It's a new term I just came up with. First, I snuggle you and then I wuggle you.” Jinki smiles with a soft laugh, shaking his head gently.

“And, what does ‘wuggling’ exactly entail, may I ask?”

Jinki looks upwards, his left eye closing as he thinks. “Uuuhhhh, I haven’t figured that part out yet.” He admits.

“Ahhh, it’s as I suspected.” Kibum says teasingly.

“Hey!” Jinki moves to smack Kibum.

Kibum catches Jinki’s arm and reaches down along the other side of his body to grab his other hand. He interlocks their fingers, pulling them both upwards next to his head.

He tugs Jinki towards him with a sly smile.

Kibums leans his head forward to place a soft kiss on Jinki’s mouth. “Good Morning.”

“Good Morning.” Jinki returns..

Jinki is too distracted to notice Kibum wrapping his arms around him, pinning his arms behind his back. His eyes go wide when he realizes his disadvantage.

Kibum smirks, rolling them over, so he lays on top.

“Maybe I will ‘wuggle’ you myself” He says, moving his eyebrows up and down for effect before pulling Jinki closer for another kiss.
