Pairing: Jinki & Minho

I miss Onho. I'm sure you do too.

The group chat comes through in the early hours with a location and time.

It will be hours before anyone actually has the mindset to check the message.

“Jonghyun, if we are late, so help me. I will castrate you.” Kibum says.

“Kibum, we're not going to be late.” Jonghyun looks at the clock. “Okay, we might be a little late.”

The shriek from Kibum is so loud and shrill that Jonghyun has to jam his fingers into his ears to stop them from ringing.

Jonghyun and Kibum pick Taemin up from his house before heading to the location specified in the group chat.

They arrive at the location, ending up on the shore of the Han river, but don't see Jinki and Minho.

“Where are they? Isn't it the time they said?” Kibum asks, looking around as he gets out of the car.

“Are you sure we are at the right place?” Taemin turns back to ask Jonghyun.

“I entered the coordinates into the GPS exactly. This is the spot.” Jonghyun says confidently, but he checks his phone again anyway.

They take another look around, but still don't see their friends.

“Who is that up there?” Taemin asks, squinting his eyes, looking into the distance.

“Up where?” Kibum and Jonghyun turn around to look.

“Up there on the bridge.” Taemin points to the two figures standing on the ledge of the bridge.

“No ing way. Is that Jinki and Minho?” Jonghyun asks.

“What are they doing up there?” Kibum says.

Ten years, they've been together.

“Minho, are you sure? There's no going back after this.” Jinki says, searching Minho’s eyes. It wasn't too late. They didn't have to do this. Jinki wouldn't blame Minho if he wanted to call it off. This plan was too drastic, too sudden, too permanent.

“There is no life for me without you.” Minho says sincerely.

“And I, you.” Jinki replies, nodding his head. Whatever cosmic joke had brought Minho into his life, he would never deserve it. When he had been at his loneliest, Minho had been there for him. When he doubted, Minho had been strong for the both of them. He would do anything for Minho, even if it meant his life.

“As long as I'm with you, I don't care what happens to us.” Minho says.

Jinki gives him a small smile. “You really are too good for me, you know.”

“I do.” Minho says teasingly. “Love is foolish. Love is blind. Love is eternal.” Minho murmurs absentmindedly while looking over the edge of the bridge.

“May I have this dance?” Jinki extends his hand out to Minho.

Minho clasps Jinki's hand tightly. “I thought you would never ask.”

Ten years. Ten long years of hiding, of loving, and of separation.

All the nights they had spent apart for fear of appearances, crying on the phone comforting each other. All the lies and half-truths. It would all be over.

They were now going to be together forever.

Jinki pulls Minho in tightly. “You ready?”

“If it’s with you? Always.”

Jinki maneuvers them closer to the edge. His hand still clasping Minho's. He looks over the ledge.

“I love you.” Jinki says to Minho.

“I love you.” Minho replies.

Jinki leans forward to kiss Minho and stars burst behind his eyelids. They did every time they kissed. Jinki wanted to remember this kiss in particular for the rest of his life.

His hand presses quickly and firmly into Minho's side, pushing them both off the edge and the next second, there is only the sound of rushing air. Jinki and Minho keep kissing until the g-forces makes it too hard for them to stay together and they pull them apart.

The earth starts to race towards them as they plummet to the earth. The seconds of freefall are the freest of their lives. They were together. They would be together for eternity.

Live life to the fullest.

Minho catches Jinki’s hands as they continue to fall towards the earth. He extends their hands over their heads.

No matter what waits for them, they would meet it together head on and without fear.

It’s disorienting when the ice cold water of the early morning Han river greets them, shocking their systems as their hands slice through the water. The exhilaration they feel is only surpassed by the sharp slam of gravity that stops them from falling further into the water. They feel weightless again as momentum begins to pull Jinki and Minho back up into the air.

“YAH! You crazy bastards! Why couldn't you have a normal wedding like everyone else!!!”

Kibum doesn't need a microphone to be heard. His voice carries easily over the water to Jinki and Minho.

Jinki and Minho turn to look at OT3 standing on the shore below them with smiles and a jubilant “WOOHOO!!” as the bungee cord continues to pull them upwards towards the bridge. Their cries of happiness are returned by their friends standing on the shore.

“We did it.” Minho says to Jinki, his eyes dancing.

“We did.” Jinki nods with a laugh.

Jinki presses his lips into Minho's for another kiss and he's surprised to taste salt this time. He opens his eyes in surprise to look at Minho and his eyes begin to tear immediately. He can see his entire future reflecting back at him in Minho's eyes. In them, he can see a home, a family, and most importantly, he can see Minho.

The weight of Jinki’s vision is enough to bring him to his knees and the uncried tears of the last ten years escape him. Minho in his ever loving nature, stops crying to comfort him, pulling Jinki into the crook of his neck.

Later, on the ground, there will be cheering and obnoxious champagne toasts. They will dance well into the night at their reception, celebrating with their friends and loved ones. Kibum will scold them severely for getting their suits wet and they will be embarrassingly embraced and congratulated by the people whose opinions and love actually matter to them. But that would be later. Right now, there was just the two of them and that was more than enough.

*Inspired by my very dear friends who on their tenth anniversary eloped at the courthouse. No fanfare, no giant crowd, just the two of them.

*Being adrenaline junkies, I think Minho & Jinki would enjoy a bungee jump wedding.
