Baekhyun was a nervous wreck. He just felt like puking all over. Standing in front of his dance class door felt like standing before the judgement gate. A little push to the door and everything will start. He felt so ready yesterday, excited even. Now standing before the door he can not help but feel like fleeing. Hands twitching, he gave the door a tentative push. Inside the room was as any dance room with ceiling to floor mirrors spanning the walls, metal bars lining the edges and the middle bare for people to dance to heart's content. In the furthest corner of the room was the sound system with someone fiddling with it. Looking from the back it looked like Yixing hyung. Baekhyun wasn’t ready anymore. He thought of aborting mission and just going home. He was turning to run away like a coward when a soothing voice called him back.

“You must be our new student. Nice to meet you. I'm Zhang Yixing, your dance instructor.”

With shoulders gone stiff from the barraging nervousness Baekhyun turned to look up at Yixing. Bowing to him slightly he said softly,

“Hello I’m Baekhee. Please take good care of me.”

Baekhyun was shaking. He couldn't fathom his sudden nervousness. Where all his confidence fled he wonders. Oddly he couldn't even look at Yixing hyung anymore and kept staring holes at his converse.

A gentle hand on his shoulders. He wasn't expecting that. Looking up abruptly he didn't expect Yixing hyung to be this close. He felt his heart rate pick up.

“Hey it’s ok. Everyone is nervous on their first days. I still remember myself having a breakdown and it was so embarrassing. But it’s ok. Don’t be afraid to take a step just because of the fear of falling. I'm here to catch you if you fall.”

Hyung’s smile stole his breath. Those are one of the most touching words anyone had directed at him and he couldn’t help but blush. He abruptly looked down at the floor to hide his blush.

Assuring pets on the shoulder made him look up.

“I’m your teacher and you can always come to me. Don't hesitate to come to me. Okay?”

Baekhyun let out a nervous laugh. Of course hyung was talking about dancing. Baekhyun didn't assume it in any other way. His heart was just having it’s monthly workout session in the wrong time.

“Ok.”

Baekhyun said with a bashful smile. Baekhyun was very much disgusted at his own ‘teenage girl in love’ reactions.

“I heard from Jongdae about you. He told me to take special care of you. You guys are pretty close I see.”

Hyung’s constant smile was something that Baekhyun can never get used to. But the implications in his words brought him back to reality.

“Not THAT close!”

Baekhyun screamed. How dare hyung insinuate something between that pig and him. Kim ing Jongdae can never be worthy of the likes of Byun Baekhyun!

“Ok! Sorry, sorry! Please don't get angry!”

Yixing hyung looked nervous. . I can't believe I am blowing this opportunity like this. He needs damage control and fast.

“NO! I’m sorry. It's just Jongdae is a longtime friend and he is just like a brother to me and I can never see him as anything but. So I overreacted. I'm Sorry!”

Baekhyun kept bowing. The excuse wasn’t even a lie. Jongdae really was like a brother to him and it just felt wrong.

Laughing nervously Yixing hyung said,

“It just keeps getting awkward and awkward. Let's just forget this and start stretching ok? Maybe your nerves will calm down by then?”

Baekhyun could do nothing but comply. Everything was silent between them while stretching barring the times when Yixing hyung instructed better ways of stretching. Now Baekhyun was regretting coming early to the class. He thought coming early would give him some alone time with Yixing hyung to work his magic on Yixing hyung. But it just had to blow off in his face. With an cringe worthy first impression Baekhyun might as well say bye-bye to seducing Zhang Yixing. In the meantime he was busy in his mind while stretching, the room started to fill up with other students. Others were giving the new girl curious looks but he didn't even notice.

Yixing’s voice broke him from his stupor and he stood up right.

“Hey guys meet the new addition to our class. Ms. Baekhee. She is a beginner. Please give her your help where she needs. Ms. Baekhee do you want to say something?”

The usual formalities done with the class started. But Baekhyun was disheartened already and just wanted to go home. But the class proceedings were interesting, and the way Yixing hyung instructed the class was quite fun. Oddly enough Baekhyun found himself engrossed in the class and attempted to learn at least. To say Baekhyun was bad at dancing would be an understatement. And the only person Baekhyun knew that dances worse than him is Jongdae. How Yixing hyung was still patient with his noodle flops (yes noodle floops, cause in no way it can be classified as dancing) is beyond Baekhyun. Baekhyun would be embarrassed if only Yixing hyung wasn’t so patient, so accommodating to him. And oddly enough Baekhyun danced to his heart’s content without the fear of being judged for the first time in ages. Yixing hyung was a great teacher, he couldn't help but agree. When the time was to go a huge smile was plastered on his face. He wouldn’t have predicted this outcome in the morning  but he was glad. He had zero progress seducing Yixing hyung but he had fun. Oddly enough it was not bothering him much. There was always the next day.

“I hope you liked your class and I didn't scared you off with my thoughtlessness.”

Hands rubbing the back part of his neck, cheeks tinted red and eyes bashful. The embarrassed look on Yixing hyung was oddly endearing.

‘Oddly.’ Oddly enough it was a word that Baekhyun has been using frequently when it comes to Yixing hyung. But Baekhyun likes all the ‘oddly’s relating to Yixing hyung. He couldn't stop the huge smile from adorning his face. His confidence returned with full force.

“No, no. I was just too nervous and caught up in it that I overreacted. Hahahaha. Chill out hyung let’s be friends, eh?”

“Hyung?”

Yixing Hyung’s blank look made him realise his mistake. He was supposed to say OPPA! Not HYUNG!!!

“Ahahahahaha! I meant OPPA!!! You see Oppa, I am such a tomboy I even call Baekhyun oppa as hyung mostly. I'm weird like that. Ahahahaha.”

“Um…...Ok. See you tomorrow Ms. Baekhee.”

Crap! I can't let it end like this. What do I do!

In his haste Baekhyun jumped to stop Yixing hyung from leaving. Missing his footing he tumbled down with Yixing on the floor. Groaning loudly Baekhyun opened his eyes to find himself straddled on Yixing. The position he found himself in wasn’t favorable at all and he blushed like crazy. Scurrying off from Yixing he started babbling,

“I’m so sorry hyung! Please forgive me. I’m such a clumsy klutz!”

Baekhyun can’t believe his luck. Now Yixing hyung would think of him as a weirdo and will never fall for him. Why why why?

Giggling was heard. Shortly the giggling turned to out right laughter. And Baekhyun stared dumbfounded at his hyung rolling on the floor laughing. Literally.

“You're so funny Ms. Baekhee. I like you alot. Hahahahaha”

Yixing hyung must be just normally saying it but Baekhyun couldn’t help but blush. He wished the ground would just eat him up. He can't take any more embarrassment in a single day.

Yixing's gentle hand patted his head like he was consoling a petulant child. Maybe in some way he was. Cause Baekhyun was pouting like a child that was for sure.

“It’s ok. You are just nervous, I get it. Go home, take a nice rest and forget about it. I’ll be waiting for you tomorrow.”

The killing strike was added with a killer smile.

Oh my kokoro! Stop bulldozing my ribcage! Yah, Zhang Yixing! I’m supposed to seduce you! Not the other way around!

“Oh and Ms. Baekhee, you can call me hyung if you want.”

Baekhyun has never in his life had felt like a lobster reincarnate. EVER!

The next day, classes passed in a blur and Baekhyun was in the cafeteria munching on greasy fries and everything unhealthy. Everything from yesterday kept running through his mind. Despite yesterday's embarrassment fiasco Baekhyun couldn’t seem to feel upset. Rather he found himself smiling while reminiscing the prior events.

That's how Sehun found him in their usual cafeteria seat.

“That is not the usual Byun Baek smile.” Sehun commented sitting down.

“And how is the usual Byun Baek smile?” Baekhyun asked not bothering to look up. He knows Sehun would have the most stupidest of answers. But time to time Baekhyun likes to indulge his dearest friend (Note the sarcasm).

“Like a creep, like you are high on rainbow fart.”

Ah, Oh Sehun never disappoints. Ignoring Sehun for the time being seems to be a great plan at the moment. But Oh Sehun seems to disagree with that.

“So let's hangout today. JongIn and I are going to go watch this sci-fi movie that came out recently and heard it was dope. You should come with us, we haven't hanged out for a while now.”

But Baekhyun had dancing class today and he can't skip it and neither can he tell Sehun that. This is more stressing than he had originally thought.

“Nah I’ll pass. I have something to do.”

“You have been awfully busy lately. I see you prancing around with Jongdae hyung but you don't have time for your best friend?”

Sehun was upset. It was written all over his face. Despite their love-hate friendship status, Baekhyun didn't like to see the maknae so upset.

“I’m really sorry Sehunie. It is urgent. I will make time I swear! But not after 8 pm, I have stuffs to do then.”

“What stuff?” A petulant Sehunnie demanded.

“Stuffs that I can't share now!”

“Are you doing illegal business now? Drugs, , human trafficking? What is it?”

Sehun’s face was calm and curious. As if it was perfectly normal for Baekhyun to be doing illegal business, expected even.  Baekhyun couldn't believe the gall of this brat. But letting it go seems to be more appealing now than his usual theatrics. He has to save all the energy for his seducing Yixing plan. Cause god knows he needs it, all the energy he can save.

“Of course not. Nothing illegal.”

“I doubt it. ‘Shady’ is so you. I understand that you don't want to share it with anyone but you know you can always trust me. I won’t tattle on you. But I can't condone your shady ways though. Please Baek leave it while you can. I ain't saving your from prison if you get caught and I will be singing “I told you so” when you get released. Slash that. IF you get released.”

Baek wasn’t even sure whether Sehun was kidding anymore. It left him so much disconcerted. But whatever keeps Sehun from not snooping into the matter, he will accept.

Today Baekhyun is feeling more like himself. Confident, sassy and not the nervous wreck he was yesterday. He was early again. These little alone times need to be utilized perfectly. Or he won't be getting fast results.

He entered the room as confidently as he can. His eyes locked on his target. His target was fiddling with the sound system just like yesterday. It seems he was having some problems with operating it. The adorable clueless look on his face was making Baekhyun want to run over and squish his cheek. But Baekhyun reminded himself that he wasn't here to play around with a kid, he was here to seduce a man. Mentally prepared Baekhyun approached Yixing.

Baekhyun pressed closer to Yixing’s back. So close but not touching. He reached out his hand from behind and put it over Yixing’s hand that was fiddling with the music system. Lazily running his fingers up and down on Yixing’s hand, Baekhyun sultrily whispered.

“Oppa, May I help you with that?”

Yixing hyung seemed to have frozen solid. In this sedentary moment Baekhyun couldn't help but admire Yixing hyung’s beautiful hands. No doubt Baekhyun had the most beautiful hands there to exist, but he couldn't help admire Yixing hyung’s hand. They were so pretty. Soft hands with calluses in the tips, long long fingers. They would look so pretty entwined with his own hands. So so pretty.  Baekhyun was woken up from his wild thoughts by a gentle nudge.

“It’s okay, Baekhee-shi. This stereo is ages old, so it sometimes acts up. I have it covered. Please start your warm-ups while I fix it.”

Nothing.NOTHING! No reaction?! HOW can he act so calm while I  have just about thrown myself over him like that. How DARE he! THIS IS WAR Zhang Yixing. By the end of the week you would be crawling on my feet, begging me to take you. Muwahahahaha!

“Ah, ok then. I’ll start warming up now.”

Despite his “Conquer Zhang Yixing in a week” mental declaration, Baekhyun found himself in his second week of dance class with no skin or hide of success.

The day after Yixing hyung’s subtle rejection had Baekhyun transform into an all in all y image. Body hugging work out clothes showing off his midriff. He even wore padded bra with extra stuffing. His killer eyeliner skills were also put on to the mix. It had most of the boys in class drooling over him and some unwanted advances here and there became common but not a sign of attraction from Yixing hyung. All these attention from others assured Baekhyun of his attractiveness. But what he could not fathom was why was he not getting any attention from Yixing hyung?

Yixing hyung is attracted to girls. This is a knowledge from a verified source. So what could be the reason? Was Yixing hyung specifically not attracted to Baekhee? How was that even possible is what Baekhyun wonders. It was not possible is what Baekhyun decided.

What he concluded was that the reason has to be that Yixing hyung was super dense. The same way he didn't notice Sehun’s affection for him, just the same way he is oblivious to Baekhee’s advances. It was not that Baekhyun didn't try anything drastic. The second day was an example. And following days had Baekhyun twisting and turning in ways that were making other boys holler but seemed to have no reaction from Yixing hyung. To say the least, Baekhyun was frustrated.

And to top it all rather than Yixing noticing him, he was noticing so many things about Yixing that he had never noticed. Like his beautiful hands that seems to always play with his plump lips, his dimples that are deeper than the sea seem to get accompanied by its lil version when Yixing’s happiness is unbound, his fluffy hair that seem to have a mind of it’s own, his neck that is so sensitive that it turns red even with slightest of blows, his unintentional adorkable expressions.

Baekhyun would have been perfectly fine if his thoughts stayed PG rated like that. But he found himself having R rated thoughts about Yixing. Like the way Yixing’s pants hugged his thighs, the way sweats beaded his toned figure after all the dancing, how his low hanging shirts showed off his beautiful collarbones that would look amazing with hickey marks, his abs that even got baekhyun’s undies tight (thank god for skirts). The most what Baekhyun likes though is how Yixing hyung has with the floor. Baekhyun can't help but want to be the floor in those times.

Subtlety was never Baekhyun’s forte and he found himself turned into a rather aggressive version of Sehun, fangirling over Yixing hyung. Though the whole of ‘The Performance’ already labeled him as “Yixing’s no. 1 fangirl”, Yixing hyung still stays none the wiser.

Turning into Yixing hyung’s “fangirl” wasn't part of the plan. But hey a little fangirling never hurt anyone. Rather it made his seducing game all the more sweeter, all the more enjoyable.

Baekhyun loved it and hated it at the same time. Making Yixing hyung so so confused yet not getting through to him regardless. In a way he wanted it to prolong a little while longer, so that he could enjoy this things,whatever they were, with Yixing hyung. In the other way he just wants it to end. Cause he is starting to doubt himself, doubt his plans. He is afraid to let go, he is also afraid of sticking with it. Letting go means to turning back to ‘Baekhyun’ who is nothing but an acquaintance to Yixing hyung. So maybe he will stick with it for a little while longer. A little bit more time with his precious Yixing hyung.

Huh! Sehun would kill me if he listens to me calling Yixing hyung my precious. Well tough luck! It’s your fault I am in this situation to begin with.

Baekhyun doesn't know why he is doing it anymore. It just feels right, to be near hyung. It feels right to breathe the same air as him, it feels right to see him dance, to see him laugh, to see him worry about others, to see him be so kind and patient, to see him just merely exist.  Maybe it's what it means to be greedy, wanting something that you are not supposed to want to begin with. But if it comes to Yixing hyung Baekhyun doesn't mind being greedy.

He was supposed to be the spider and Yixing hyung was supposed to be the fly caught in the web. But why does Baekhyun feel like he's the one being trapped in the web? But Baekhyun doesn't seem to mind it at all, not a single bit. Baekhyun doesn't want to fathom what will happen when his lies get caught. No. It will never get caught. He won't let it. He will make the best of the situation and when Sehun gives up on Yixing hyung, Baekhee will disappear.

Afterall beggars cannot be choosers.
