A/N: NaPink High School AU based on the lyrics of We Like

I was watching Show Champion comback video of We Like and it had english translation. As usual I have decided to make it into a romantic comedy fic because I think that this genre is my forte HAHAHAHAHA. Anyways please don't mind how I always end my fics abruptly HAHAHA *embarrassed* Do laugh a lot and enjoy! For those who are waiting for an update for Haru Haru, it will be up by this Saturday. Nayoung was moving from math classroom to the physics lab. She hated this period because she will be meeting the crazy girl from her buddy class. The girl was just downright weird. The said girl would always approach her and say some weird stuff. The way she phrased her words really bothered Nayoung a lot. She heard that the girl is from China but she had heard the girl present on Newton’s Law before and the fluency in the presentation made Nyoung confirm that the weirdo is actually fluent in Korean.

Her thoughts would always drift to the creepy times she had encountered with the Chinese girl right before physics lesson. She remembered once when she was at her locker waiting for her cousin, Chaeyeon, to bring her for a tour around the school because she just moved from Suncheon to Seoul and had transferred to the school. She had promised her mom and her aunt that she would take care of her younger cousin. After walking Chaeyeon to her classroom and made sure that the younger had settled down before leaving the classroom. Soon, she felt a figure pulling her to the staircase and said, “pretending to not know, pretending to not be interested, I can’t do that stuff. I will approach you, be mine.” Soon after the pink haired girl skipped away. She was so freaked out by that crazy moment. The way the pink haired girl chose her words was rather absurd. At that moment, she tried to recall who the girl was and realised that she is from her buddy class. Wow, the girl had changed a lot after the long break. They only shared a class together, which was physics and they didn’t have much interaction since the class was more of solo assignments and the only team work was during lab and Nayoung was thankful that she didn’t have work with the weird girl. She remembered that the girl had black and straight hair. She didn’t expect that the girl would dye her hair to a crazy shade and even had it curled slightly to create some sort of volume to her hair.

There was another time when physics was right before break and the lesson was held in her buddy's class. When Nayoung was about to leave for lunch, she felt someone pull her to her seat saying “just follow me.” She definitely knew who it was since the only person who will grab her by the wrist and drag her to all sorts of places would be the pink-haired girl. The girl pulled her to her seat to look at what was under the table.

“Let’s see let’s see what is this, so many gifts on my desks, getting so many confessions. You know right? This is how popular I am. He says he likes me. The other guy says he likes me too. You are lucky cuz I like you,” said the girl. The brunette could see fire in the other girl's eyes and furthermore she could tell that the girl in front of her is serious but her crazy antics were telling Nayoung otherwise. Nayoung was so freaked out that she pushed the girl’s grip on her wrist and ran away, leaving her bag behind. She just ran all the way to the library. She needed to calm down. Nayoung really wanted to transfer out of school but it was just less than two year till graduation. She knew that transferring won’t do her any good and decided to stay in Gimpo High. At the end of the lunch break, she quickly went back to her buddy’s classroom to get her bag. As she made her way to her bag, the girl strikes again, this time saying, “baby listen to me, I am not your average girl, that’s why you will be more attracted to me,” not forgetting to wink before walking back to her seat. She really had a bad impression of her buddy class. She had seen weird stuff in her physics class done by students who weren’t from her class. No wonder the girl would be weird.

Now back to reality. She took a deep breath before entering the lab. She could see the crazy girl waving at her from her peripheral view. “That girl’s eyesight is no joke,” she thought to herself. Nayoung then walked to her best friend, Minkyung. Thank god that Minkyung is in the same physics class as her this year.

“What happened to you?” asked the girl with bangs and sharp pointy nose.

“I am just praying that my lab partner would be someone who is normal,” replied the brunette. She just couldn't deal any weird stuff this year.

“That entire class is crazy. They are merging us from all 4 classes. I told you before that the class I had last year was also full of weirdos. I had a seatmate who keeps kissing me on my hand...” Minkyung exaggerated.

“And she ends up being your girlfriend.” Nayoung just interjected her best friend's words. 

“So why not try to accept that girl. She is so into you.” Minkyung just laughed with guilt and tried to convince Nayoung that all humans are not weird.

Nayoung just sighed. The practical instructor entered the class and went to announce the pair for lab work. He seemed so excited that it was killing Nayoung. She prayed to God and even the Buddha though she is a Christian. It was to that extent. She would beg any kind of God to hope for a good partner.

“I think my luck ran out,” Nayoung spat bitterly as soon as she heard that her partner is none other than Joo Kyulkyung. Oh well at least they had interactions once in a while so yea, they wouldn’t be too awkward and they could skip the whole introduction. She, being a nice person decided to move to Kyulkyung’s bench which was at the other end of the classroom and younger gave her a beaming look, which looked exactly like the hungry wolf from the children’s story ‘Red Riding Hood’. For the entire dry lab, she just focused on her practical instructor without turning to her side to see the Ghinese girl’s face. Not even once.

“When do you want to work on our assignment?” asked Nayoung. She couldn't believe that she had to work with the girl beside her once the new academic year started.

“When are you free?” the brunette continued.

“I’m busy, 365 days but I have a lot of time to meet you,” replied the Chinese girl. Nayoung's jaw just dropped at her response. Unbelievable and kuddos for being brave but Nayoung couln't be bothered with the shorter girl who now has wavy black hair. 

“I will give you my number. Just text me since you are busy everyday,” with that the stone scribbled her phone number on a paper and passed it to the other girl before scrambling to her best friend.

It was a Saturday and the two met up to work on their project. The girl was actually normal. She worked on the assignment without blurting out weird stuff. Thank God and Buddha and other Gods. The girl even did an outline of the assignment beforehand. The three hour pair work made her change her impression of the other girl. She is quite comfortable with the girl already and they are practically friends. Looking at how Nayoung is so comfortable with her, Kyulkyung decided to confess again.

“I got a crush on you, it’s so obvious right? Anyone can see it so I am gonna make you mine. it will hurt a little, just be careful,” Kyulkyung confessed to the stone. The Chinese beauty held on both of the stone’s hand, looking straight into her eyes, meaning every word she said.

Nayoung knew that the girl likes her. It had been so obvious that she, an unpopular kid had gained unnecessary attention due to the popular girl. She is starting to like the girl but only as a friend. Since they had just properly know each other she felt that they shouldn’t rush things.

“Hey, let’s just be friends first. I am not rejecting you but let’s take things slow. We just got to know each other so let nature takes its course ok?” Nayoung ruffled the younger’s hair after seeing the girl pouted cutely at her response.

After that fateful day, they became so much closer. They would sit together during physics class, spend time together during class and have sleep over at each other’s place during the weekends.

They were walking together to the classroom since physics class is the first lesson of the day.

“You carry your bag on one shoulder, so the other one is mine,” Kyulkyung wrapped her arms around Nayoung’s left arm and laid on her shoulder. By this time, Nayoung was definitely used to the younger’s cheesy words. She found out that the shorter girl's friends told her to say unique lines so that it would catch her -the infamous stone's- attention. Her friends thought that Nayoung would like it since she is a literature student. Oh boy, her friends didn’t know that it is actually creepy as the 18th level of hell. However, Nayoung told the younger to continue since it was entertaining and it became sweet nothings to the brunette's ears. She would rather hear it once in a while than not hearing it entirely.

Kyulkyung felt that today was the best day to ask Nayoung to be her girlfriend. Kyulkyung brought Nayoung to the mini water fountain near the school garden. Though there were students studying or dating etc, Kyulkyung felt that this is the best place to ask Nayoung out as it was where she met the warm stone. She remembered the time when she saw Nayoung sleeping. She was mesmerised by the taller girl’s cute features. Her round face, button nose, small lips. She wanted to kiss the girl but resisted and memorised her appearance instead. Kyulkyung was definitely excited when she saw the girl in her physics class and got to know that the Korean girl is called Im Nayoung and was from her neighbouring class. When she asked her friends for help, they told her to impress her dream girl with cool sentences since her neighbouring class was made up of literature students.

“You can ask yourself, what’s wrong with me. But still you will think of me everyday. No matter what anyone says, look at me right now. I got this feeling that I will be your melody everyday and I won’t ever stop. Will you be my girlfriend?” asked the science student. She really loves the literature student. She would even read novels just to improve her Korean and learn how to express her love.

The other girl also knew how the Chinese beauty is head over heels for her and everyday after that fateful day, she has been falling in love with the quirky girl. She couldn’t believe that the girl she once thought was crazy would be her significant other half. She chuckled and replied, “the color we paint together will be prettier.”

The science student was pondering hard at the literature student’s words. Color? Paint? Together? Prettier? She was trying to read in between the lines and instantly understood the meaning thanks to the reading skills she had picked up a year ago. Kyulkyung pounced onto the older and gave her a really tight bear hug.

“I love you,” the Korean stone beauty whispered into the Chinese beauty’s ear. Kyulkyung blushed and was definitely liking today and will definitely encourage anyone to be brave just for love.
