Baekhyun thought he won’t get over the feeling of guilt. But he realised that it was starting to fade away as he kept contacting Taeyeon.

The two of them would text each other for work purposes, but also they couldn’t help but get to know each other.

Not only they texted, but they would also meet up. Sometimes Baekhyun and his teammates would go to her office for the collaboration they are having, and also Taeyeon and her teammates would go to his office for the same purpose.

And that is the way they got to know each other, and soon they also became comfortable with each other.

He couldn’t help but explain to her, how he got married to you. He told her that it wasn’t a mutual agreement marriage. But he didn’t say anything bad about you, just that there aren’t any feelings between you both.

Or so he thought.

Taeyeon understood him immediately and gave him some comforting advice. She told him to keep having patience and soon he will be happy.

Also, he realised that there isn’t anything for him to worry about; he remembers what you told him before.

‘So I just want to ask you for tolerating me, until we get our wishes granted.’

Of course only one of you got your wish granted. But he’ll make sure you get a happy married life soon. He finally found his ideal woman, who he can’t lose to someone easily so he has to get her before anyone can.

And beside, he is sure he can’t give you a happy life. He has been making you sad ever since he got married to you.

So he assures himself that he’ll find someone who can make you happier than him. And when he is sure you are happy, he will immediately marry Taeyeon.

“Baekhyun?” your voice cut his thoughts.

“Yeah?” he looks up at you as you stare at him.

“Why aren’t you eating? Is the food bad?” you asked him worriedly.

“Oh.” He looks at his food, “No, it’s not like that. I just have a lot in my mind.” He continues to eat.

You giggle, “You seem to think about a lot.”

“Well, I have to anyway.” He lamely says, “My job is taking another turn, so I have to think a lot.”

You smile at him, “I’m so happy for the promotion you are getting. Because of your hard work, the company wouldn’t have been this successful.”

He chuckles at your words, “I’m not that powerful in the company Hera, and I wasn’t the only one who worked hard for it, my colleagues did too.”

You shrug, “I just wanted to encourage you that’s all. Since when a company is successful, the credit usually goes to the boss, not his workers.”

His eyes widens at your words, he didn’t expect you to know all these stuff “Uhm, thanks Hera, for encouraging me.” He his lips “No one usually cares about a worker’s hard work, so thanks for that.”

You smile at him, “You’ll always be amazing to me.”

Your voice was full of love to him, but he didn’t want to admit that to himself so he avoided the dreamy aura around you and stood up.

“Thanks for the breakfast.” He mutters and walks towards the door not forgetting to take his coat from you.

You followed after him with a bounce on your step and stop as he got up after tying his shoes and looked at you.

You smile at him and leaned in to him for your usual kiss. He looks at you leaning face with a frown. Usually he would kiss you before leaving to work, and that became a habit for the both of you. But today, he was feeling wrong about this. It wouldn’t be right if he kisses you, because his heart is already belong to someone else.

That is what he thinks.

“Uhm, bye.” You opened your eyes to see him walking away from the house.

You frowned at his odd behaviour and it was starting to worry you. Why didn’t he kiss you today? Did you do something wrong?

Baekhyun enters the office and greeted his colleagues good morning. He quickly sat on his desk chair and starts to do his work.

“So are we going to that company today?” He asks Chanyeol without looking up from his laptop.

“No, today they are going to come here.” Chanyeol mutters, also not looking up from his work.

“Hmm, K.” he mutters out while keeping himself composed on the outside, but deep inside he was cheering because Taeyeon is going to come today here.

Well he sees her everyday, but everyday he feels like he is seeing her after a long time. So he gets excited everyday.

“Hyung, can I talk to you for a moment?”

He looks up and saw Jongin standing in front of his desk.

He nods at him, “Sure, what is it?”

“It’s kind of private.” Jongin said silently.

Baekhyun nods understandingly and got up from his sit. The both of them walk away from the public area and goes to an empty balcony.

“So what do you want to talk to me about?” Baekhyun asks him, leaning on the railing.

Jongin sighs, “It’s not about the company or anything serious, but I think you should know about this.”

Baekhyun nods and tells him to continue.

“It’s about your wife, Hera.”

Baekhyun’s eyes widen, “What did she do?”

“She didn’t do anything hyung.” He shook his head, “I just wanted to say that, she isn’t as bad as we thought hyung.”

Baekhyun nods, “I know that, I live with her remember.”

“So I want you to not to hurt her or anything.” Jongin continues.

Baekhyun eyes got wide again. “What are you talking about?”

Jongin sighs, “I know that you are not happy with her, and I and Sehun supported you before. But now we can’t support you with that.”

“It’s okay, I don’t need it.” Baekhyun mutters in daze. The way Jongin told him not to hurt you, scared him. He also didn’t want to hurt you but the plan he is doing now might hurt you, so Jongin’s word gave him a slight feeling of fear.”

“She is a nice person, her heart is pure like a child and you can’t ruin that.” Jongin explains, “Women like her is hard to find, and hyung I’m telling you that you are lucky to marry someone like her.”

Baekhyun just listens to him quietly, but he decided to not to take it to his heart. If he was lucky to have you then he would be happy by now. He couldn’t even show you off to everyone because of your background status. He knows he is being cruel about it, but it’s the 21st century and everyone is cruel in this world, and you are an exception that is why you don’t deserve him but someone who can actually be happy with you and also can make you happy.

“So I just want to tell you, don’t lose her. She might be not your ideal kind but she is really unique. And besides, no one ever get to marry their ideal type, but aren’t they happy?” Jongin explains to him desperately, hoping he would understand.

“Thanks jongin.” Baekhyun smiles at him, “I’m gonna keep that in mind and think about it.”

Jongin sighs breathlessly and nods, “I hope you don’t destroy her pure heart and accept her kindly. I and Sehun had some talk with her at the party and her way of talking is innocent but sweet, so please don’t ruin it.” With that, he bows to him and walks out of the balcony, leaving Baekhyun in his own thoughts.

He knows that Jongin made everything complicated now; he almost had a second thought about his plan. But he made himself remember how he finally found his ideal woman. No one gets to meet their ideal person, it’s really rare. So he just can’t give that up, besides, he is going to find someone who can make you happy.

As he left the balcony, he was greeted with the employees of Taeyeon’s team. His stomach starts to bubble up when he realised that Taeyeon is around him somewhere.

“Hi.”

He quickly turns around and was greeted with Taeyeon’s big smile. He couldn’t help but smile bigger than her; he was just so excited right now.

“Hi.” He breathes out.

You were sitting on the living room couch with a worried look. You can’t stop thinking about the fact that he didn’t kiss you today.

You were thinking that you did something wrong, but what?

Your eyes widen when you thought that must be it. He was zoning out the whole time during breakfast, may be he didn’t like it?

You looked at the time and saw it was 10 am and got up to head towards the kitchen. You are going to make lunch and you’ll go to his office personally with it. You hope that when he sees you there he’ll get happy.

As you start to take out the ingredients, you mentally told yourself to make a really delicious food that he never tasted before.

And you hoped that he’ll fall for you too.

It was soon lunch time. Baekhyun was smiling the whole time while he was following Taeyeon to the cafeteria.

She told him she cooked something for him today, and he can’t wait to try it.

From that, he knew she likes him too. Who would bother to make someone food, unless you like them?

Then suddenly your face appeared in his mind, but he shook it off because he was excited to see what Taeyeon kept in store for him.

“I usually don’t cook actually.” Taeyeon declares uneasily as she sits on a chair.

Baekhyun sits in front of her and gave her a comforting smile, “Its okay. I’m not a picky eater anyway. So don’t worry about it.”

She grins and starts to open the food container while Baekhyun gets excited as every second passes by.

When she finally opened the lead a little frown appeared on his face but he tried to hold his emotions as he looks at the food.

“Oh… what is this?”
