You couldn’t help but tell everything to your guardian, few days later. She was proud that you finally stepped out of your comfort zone. You know that she wants the best for you so you were very grateful to her.

If it wasn’t for her, Baekhyun wouldn’t stop mistreating you.

After the simple kiss, you seem to realise that his dark aura around you were fading slowly. It was helping you to get closer to him.

Sometimes when he runs late for work –after oversleeping- he would ask you to help with his neck tie. His cold voice was getting gentle everyday, and it is overwhelming you since you weren’t used to that.

The best thing is, whenever he leaves for work, instead of saying “goodbye”, he would quickly kiss you right before leaving. And that was enough for you to smile throughout the whole day.

One day, he shocked you by having a real conversation with you. You both never spoke to each other properly, not more than two words. But that day, he asked you if he need to go to grocery shopping.

You listed out the things that is needed at the moment, to him and that was the longest conversation you had with him.

But you knew that it wasn’t enough for you to hold on to the marriage, you have to work harder so that he accepts you as his wife.

You opened the door when the bell rang and greeted your husband with a warm smile. He just smiled back at you, it wasn’t as warm as yours because it didn’t reach his eyes, it was tired and it seemed that he didn’t want to make you sad for not smiling back. You didn’t mind that but on the other hand you didn’t want to burden him for showing formalities to you.

Without any words, you took his suitcase and let him inside the house.

He looked surprised at that but shook it off when he realised how tired he is tonight.

You frowned when you noticed how he was massaging his back while walking inside.

“Tough day at work?” you ask him while putting the suitcase on the couch.

“Hmm?” he looks at you when you suddenly asked him, “Yeah I’ve been making reports for 5 hours straight.” He nods, “So my back is paining.”

“Oh…” you were shocked at his words; it must be tough to sit still for 5 hours straight without any rest. His back must hurt a lot.

Suddenly an imaginary light bulb appeared on your head, hinting you that it is the right time to make another move.

“Should I massage your back?”

“H-huh?” he looked surprised at your offer, “Ah, no it’s okay. It’s no big deal. The pain would be gone soon.”

“No it wouldn’t.” you frowned, “You worked for five hours straight, so the pain wouldn’t go away soon Baekhyun-ssi.”

He sighs, “Really Hera, its okay. You don’t have to bother.”

If it was last month, he would have yelled at you for not listening to him. So you were glad that things have changed and he didn’t yell at you this time, he was only giving easy chances for you to massage his back.

You shook your head, “It’s not a bother, really.” you start to walk towards him, “Just sit on the couch and I’ll do the rest of the work.”

He sighs, knowing he doesn’t have any energy to stop you, but at the same time your offer was tempting. His back does hurt a lot and all he needs right now is a good massage.

Without him knowing he was already sat on the couch, watching you go around him to the back. He was curious if you were good in massaging. You were petite and looked weak to him, so it would be surprising to him if you turn out to be good at it.

He suddenly groaned in relief when both of your thumbs pressed at the right spot on his back.

You smiled in victory when you successfully found the right spot and continued to make him feel relived from the pain.

“Ahhh, yes right there…” he moaned out sighing, not realising how that sounded like. You on the other hand weren’t even aware of it; you were just that much innocent. You just keep massaging him till he was satisfied.

Even if he was satisfied a long ago, he didn’t stop you ‘cause he was enjoying the feeling to much.

He underestimated you again. Last time he thought you weren’t good at cooking and this time he thought you weren’t good at massaging.

You were full of surprises to him, and unknowingly he is getting curious about you. What else are you good at?

Few minutes later, he realised that he was overworking you so he decided to stop you. He was relaxed long ago so he thinks it wouldn’t be good if he keeps getting massaged happily till your hand hurts.

“I’m feeling better now, so you can stop.” He tells you gently.

“You sure?” you asked him, getting a little intimated by his gentle voice.

“Yeah, I should go take a shower while you prepare for dinner.” He gets up from the couch.

You smiled at him, a little excited, “Shower fast then, because I made something special for you tonight.”

You excited voice made him chuckle in amusement, and that made you happy since it was the first time you made him laugh.

“Fine then, I’m looking forward to it.” He stated and went back to his room.

You quickly ran towards the kitchen to prepare everything. You are working so hard to be a proper wife to him and you were glad that it was working on him, or so you hoped.

You were smiling the whole time you when you were washing the dishes. Tonight’s dinner was really wonderful. He looked happy when he ate his dinner.

He ate like his life was depending on it. You didn’t know that he likes beef so much, everyone one in Korea loves beef, but his love was whole another level.

You watched as he was making his way towards his room while so many thoughts were running in your mind. You had another plan to get closer to him, but thought if it was too soon cause you already did something to get on his good side today.

But on the other hand it has been more than a month since you both got married, so it’s never too late, right?

“W-wait.” You blurted out suddenly making him stop and turn to you.

You gulped nervously, already thinking of backing out. But it was too late already; he was already staring at you, waiting for you to say something.

You shook of all the nervousness around you and decided to get out of your comfort zone again and walked towards him.

The scene was too familiar to him as you did the same thing last month, when you tried to kiss him. He raised an eyebrow as you were getting closer, thinking you are going to give him a goodnight kiss.

But he starts to have a second thought when you stopped in front of him, looking like you wanted to tell him something and that made him curious.

You nervously looked up at him and mentally gulped at his stare on you. He noticed your behaviour so he decided to look at you softly so that you can quickly tell him what you want to tell him.

You sighed and mentally prepared yourself, “Uh… I w-was thinking that uh…” you gulped again, “…that, it’s been already more than a month and uh… how long are we gonna sleep in different rooms?”

Your question got him speechless. He didn’t know how to answer the question; in fact, he didn’t know the answer at all. It isn’t normal for husband and wife to sleep in different rooms, then again their marriage isn’t normal either.

He has never accepted you as his wife and he swore he never will. Even though he feels guilty that you are the only one who was trying to hold into the marriage and he appreciates it but his heart wasn’t accepting you at all.

The question is, how is he gonna answer you now? Will he follow his heart and tell you straight “NO!”? Or will he rely on his guilt and say yes to you? It would be cruel to do both.

“Uhm, f-forget It.” you smile bitterly, “I’m not in my right mind right now so I should go back to my room now.” With that you turn your back to him and walk towards your room.

‘I guess… my guilt won this time.’ He thought and stops you, “Get your pillow from your room quickly; you’ll be sleeping in my room from now on.”

You didn’t know when the last time you turned around so fast was. You looked at him in shock, what made him change his mind so suddenly?

“Go quickly, I’ve to wake up early tomorrow, remember?” he asks you as he walks into his room.

You slowly nodded, still trying to process everything, and walked to your room to get your things. Was he, finally accepting you?

You slowly opened his bedroom door and peeped inside, hugging your pillow in your chest.

He was already on his bed, with his back on the head board. He noticed you and sat up, watching you getting inside the room slowly.

You looked around his room, taking in the place where you are gonna be sleeping from now on. It was your first time coming inside his room. You were quite surprised at the surrounding that he has been living in.

He watched you looking around his room and it was making him quite conscious of it. H
