Day One

Kyuhyun rolled his galaxy pad again, for probably hundredth of times, but the message that he had been waiting for was never arrived. Is she forgetting again? Or is the rumor true that she is only close to him because their management said so?

He shook his head. No, she was not that kind of girl. To tell the truth, on this relationship, it was likely that he would be the one who could ditch her. And he used to do that years ago. So this was what she felt every time I cancelled our appointment.  It did hurt.

He wished he could tell someone about this pain so he could at least release some of it. But he could not. Because then that someone would ask the same question that he had been asked himself lately, “Have you finally admit to her what is your real feeling?”

Because he had not. Even after three years of pining for her and the last two of it evolved around her like a satellite to its planet. Because on the contrary of what people believe of his nature, he actually a one fine coward. Who lost his words every time that beautiful orbs of her locked him inside.

There were times that he thought she was aware of his feeling on her. But most of the times, he was not sure if she ever took any care of that. She never asked why he sometimes picked her on the airport when she went back to Seoul. Yet she never objected if he pulled her aside when they met in one of the shows or events just to hug her tight.

Maybe, she was just too nice and too polite to reject all the attentions. Maybe, she was finally reached her limit of patient and boredom so she finally abandoned him.

Or Maybe, she has found someone who she is really attracted too. Not like me who am there because the management paired us for fan service.

This is the second time she was not messaging him on the last day of the month. Second in a row.

It was really a stupid tradition though. He remembered they invented that playfully two years ago during one of the practice they have for their duet at SM Town.

When she was said how happy she was in the SM Tour because she could meet all of her sunbae, hoobae, oppa, unnie, chingu,

and me? He was cheekily added.

I felt lonely sometimes, Oppa. She said it sadly. Like the months passed by without any eventual moment.

She laughed, but he smirked and then whispered softly to her.  I am serious.

And the last day of that month, February 2010, he texted her. I text you first today. Next month you’ll text me first.

Then their tradition began.  It went smoothly until last month when she was forgetting the tradition because she was busy on a never-ending promotion. Or that what she told him.

At that day, he texted her first. Hyunnie, you forget? It’s your turn now.

I am sorry Oppa. I’ll do that next month.

But apparently she forgot again. And this time he would not text her first. Because maybe, she did that in purpose. Two times in the row of forgetting something must be something else, right?

 “Kyu, it’s almost midnight. Sleep! We have to be ready early tomorrow.”

He shifted his gaze to Donghae who was occupying the other bed in that hotel room. He was sure his choding hyung might know what had disturbed his dongsaeng as he was a witness to many of the events where Kyuhyun could not hold anymore his attraction for the innocent maknae.

“She forgets again” He blurted.

He could hear Donghae sighed. “It never been easy. Just don’t give up on hope.”

“Even when it seems you the only one who hold into it?” He softly said.

“Kyu, just sleep, please. Don’t torture yourself.”

Day Two

He woke up and instantly took his mobile from the bed post.

A flash informed him of an unread message or messages. But his cowardice took over again. He was afraid he could not find her text as one of that messages. So he preferred to mark them “read” so the flash was off and he could read that when he had his bravery back.

With a sighed he walked to the bathroom and took a shower.
