Dear Mother,
Red Stringhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZnU1TDOrGY
"Hello?"
...
"Hello? Is anybody there?"
...
"Hel-"
"Yes yes I'm here, sorry my phone must've muted my mic. Good evening dear, how are you?"
"Good, I guess?"
"Just good? Nothing else? Nothing new happened today?"
"Mother, why must you always ask me the same thing every night only to receive the same response?"
"Why of course it's because maybe one day you'll meet a special someone, or a special something might happen and I won't get the very same response!"
"Huh, good answer. Actually, something did happen today. With a someone."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. I went out on a date."
...
"Uh, hello?"
"I'm sorry dear I had to mute my mic to save you from the probably loud screaming. My dear daughter has finally gone out on a date! How was it? How's the guy? Is he handsome? Is he tall? Younger or older? How did you meet?"
"Slow down Mother, it was only one date with some guy I met last night. He's pretty tall, I mean at some point my neck begins to hurt while I'm talking to him because I have to crane my head up so high. I think he's a couple years younger than me actually, which is surprising considering we have a class together. Generally, he's ok I guess."
"That's a rather lame first meeting, Eunji. Regardless, how was the date?"
"Oh, it was nice."
"Honey, you must understand that when I ask you 'how was the date' I'm really asking for details."
"Didn't catch the drift. Well we didn't do anything special, really. He took me to a nice restaurant to eat lunch, and then we spent a good 10 minutes wondering what we should do. It was actually kind of cute, seeing him frustrated that he didn't think this far through. I suggested we hang out at the park, since watching a movie or going to an amusement park won't really allow him to get to know me much as a person, so we hung out while eating some ice cream and asking questions back and forth. It was really funny though, because at some point a random kid who was playing basketball challenged him to a match and my poor cocky date lost to the kid. You should've seen his pouty face. Honestly, I think it was cuter than the puppies I saw this morning."
"Oho, is my daughter falling in love already?"
"Mother, love is such a strange thing that can break so easily. I highly doubt I understand love, therefore I am not in love."
"Eunji, I don't think that's how love works."
"Mother, you're divorced. How would you know how love works?"
...
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
"No, no it's fine. You're not wrong. Well, I do hope things end well with this boy. Is that all that happened?"
"Yeah, it got dark so we parted our ways."
"Nothing else?"
"I mean besides the fact that he asked me out on another date, I don't think so, no."
"Did you say yes?"
"Mother, I really have to go to bed. It's late. Good night!"
"Alright dear, good night."
I held my phone dearly with my two hands, looking up at the ceiling as a smile crept its way up my lips. My chest pounded like someone was playing the bass drum while skipping. Loud and fast, and occasionally missing a beat. Something rose up, pushing to come out of my mouth. A scream of happiness.
He asked me out on another date.
I've never felt this way towards anyone. I've never felt much of anything towards anyone. This was a new experience, and it was exciting. I took a deep breath to calm the fury of my scream. It worked, but nothing could calm my heart. I washed up quickly and got into my bed, ready to sleep. I felt a vibration, so I checked my phone, and suddenly my heart began to beat faster and my smile felt as if nothing could make it flip upside down. I let out a giggle and turned around on my bed, kicking the sheets.
Sweet dreams~ :3

ty chapter, yes I know, but at least now I know where I want to go with this story.
See, here's the thing. Everyone's commenting about Eunji's string, about how great it will be and when it will show up, but I'll let you know now, you're asking about the wrong string. From the beginning of the story, the question Will Eunji have a string? will always be floating through everyone's heads, even the writer's(me). That's a given. Because, that's basically the whole point of this story. Whether or not Eunji ends up with a string. Which is something the readers will never know until the end of the story. So instead of continuously asking about Eunji's string, try thinking about the others'.
^ a little hint for my readers ;)
Thank all of you for the comments! I personally love feedback so I always get very excited when I receive a notification telling me I've got new story comments. So I thank all of you! And thank you 19 subscribers!
Til we meet again,
