Fail me

“I swear to —” Wonwoo stopped himself, knowing fully well that his student never liked swearing. “Joshua, you need to pass this exam!”

“I don’t want to.”

“But you can!” Wonwoo touched the bridge of his nose, feeling another headache coming. “Why do you want to fail so bad anyways?”

“I refuse to answer that question, sir.”

“If the reason for you not wanting to pass is because of me, I am telling you, it’d be your biggest mistake.”

“What if I say yes?”

Wonwoo looked at him as if he’d gone crazy

“I can’t follow your logic, Joshua.”

“I just don’t want our days to end… I enjoy listening to your lectures.”

“I’m pretty sure we can just do that, Joshua.” Wonwoo looked at him pointedly 

Joshua sighed. He knows he’s being stupid and he can see Wonwoo losing his wits little by little.

“It’s because I don’t want to become a lawyer.” He admitted

“Then don’t.” 

“My parents are expecting me to... they want me to! I don't! Besides, if I fail this class or get just the passing score, I’m pretty sure no law school will accept me, then they can't force me anymore.”

Wonwoo let out a sigh, finally understanding Joshua’s situation.

“Okay.”

Silence.

“I want to become a professor like you though.”

“Joshua!”
