I would consider myself to be an unhappy person. My father was always overseas for "business trips" and my mother was also out for who knows what reasons. She tells me she has to work two jobs, and I believe her. But the way she goes to "work" makes me not want to see her at all: high heels, sparkling clothing, revealing spots here and there all throughout her body, and pounds and pounds of heavy bright colored makeup. I just know her job isn't one to be proud of. I was an only child and had no one else to look over me. School was decent enough.. I would consider myself a wallflower. I didn't have any friends and I was always the unpopular kid at the corner. But that didn't really matter, I sort of stopped caring years ago. My mom leaves fairly early to work at her unknown first job and doesn't get back until late at night.. it's as if she's never there to begin with.

Today is a school day and everyday is the exact same. Wake up, take a quick shower, get ready, make breakfast, grab my school bag and anything needed, say goodbye to the lonely house, and make my way to the school bus stop. Life is pretty boring, all in all, it took about half an hour. While I sat under a tree waiting for the bus, I closed my eyes for a bit. God how I hated mornings.. if I could, I would rather take night classes. But it is what it is, the high school district is very strict when it comes to class schedules and stuff, maybe I should drop out and get my GED during the night classes?  A sudden voice scared me out of my thoughts.

"Yah! Kyungsoo-ah! Don't you be sleeping again!"

It was my one and only friend. My best friend Chanyeol. Waving to me as he crossed the street with his backpack hanging off from one shoulder, a sandwich in one hand, and his papers in a messed up folder in the other. I couldn't help but just stare at him. It isn't that hard ironing a pair of pants and a shirt. His lovely midnight black hair was messy but somehow he managed to pull it off and make it look good. It's the same thing everyday with him: shows up late, unprepared, breakfast in his hand, yelling at me loud enough to wake up the entire neighborhood, clean yet unironed clothing, and a really nice white smile. I didn't realize I was still staring at him until he threw his stuff on the grass and threw himself at a spot next to me.

"Oomph! Why did you jump? Haha I know I'm good looking but you see me everyday! No need to stare at me so much. " Chanyeol said as he ruffled my hair and flashed his white smile at me.

"What about you! No need to wake up the entire neighborhood. And I was staring at your clothes! You know, it isn't that hard ironing your clothes and that shoulder bag exists just so you can put your folder with all of those torn and folded papers in." It's as if I said this just yesterday, but I still have to say it. Anything that would make him forget about me staring at him.

"Goodness it was as if I never left home. You know, I leave home like this because I want to get away from my mom as fast as I can. Don't make me want to get away from you too." Chanyeol said as he stuck out his tongue at me. He sounded so serious and his tone was deeper than usual. I wanted to apologize. I started thinking about what he said. What if he does leave me? I will officially be the loneliest person of all time. I don't think I can-

"Hey it was just a joke. Don't over think what I said. You're so cute you know that! You know I won't ever ever leave you Soo, it even rhymes!" Chanyeol leaned in and hugged me roughly and attempted to kiss my cheek.

"Ya Ya stop that! You're ruining my hair! People are going to think we're gay or something! Get -oomph- get off of me you weirdo" I responded while struggling to break free of the taller's strong hold. I couldn't help but blush a little. I was happy whenever I was with Yeolie, he was my happy virus and I don't know what I would do if he ended up leaving me.

"Let them think that! Not like it will change anything. Well fine then, I may be able to let go now but just know you won't be able to get rid of me, you hear?" Said Chanyeol as he laughed and attempted to make his hair less messy than what it already was.

"I don't know, I may be the one who leaves you instead!"

"Blah, you're joking right? Why would you leave a precious jewel like me?" Immediately responded the tall boy who attempted to do the pouty face to make himself cuter.

"Well before you interrupted the entire neighborhood with your yells, I realized that school is pretty lame. Same thing everyday with the same people and the same teachers. I'm getting bored of it. Plus, I hate mornings. I'm thinking of dropping out, finding a part-time job and get my GED during the night classes. Either way you have a lot of other friends, it won't be any different if I leave." I know I didn't have the right to say that. My entire life was much more boring than school, but it was true. Years of doing this makes me not want to do it anymore. But… the truth is that I don't really want to leave. Chanyeol is the only reason why I'm staying in the first place and without him, I don't know what I would do.

Chanyeol didn't take a minute to think of my words when he immediately responded, "No no, stop right there. Do Kyungsoo you know you're my best friend and without you, I wouldn't be able to smile again. I would have to go fully straight and I would start spending my time reading mangas and writing fanfictions about us. It's official, as the man of this relationship, I declare you banned from leaving me and from dropping out. You're only a high school Junior! It's normal for teenagers to go through this and other boring hormonal stuff."

Before I could say anything, the bus finally arrived and Yeolie pushed me in first. "Aigoo... fine then." was all I was able to say. I'm glad h
