Being Sure of You (this is a double update with a SoDa oneshot for Chapter 10)

Sohye wasn’t delusional, she knew that she was lacking a lot but she was willing to work hard to make up for it. People were wondering why she wanted to join I.O.I. so much and the answer was kinda simple. Of course, being an idol was a dream but there was another reason…

Mina.

She had a HUGEEE crush (hey promo) on Mina but she had a hard time approaching people in general. That was how she came to the weird conclusion that joining I.O.I. would be the perfect way to get close to her crush and further her dreams. Win win!

“You two are rooming together!” Sejeong unnie smiled.

They had all just arrived at the new dorm and hadn’t really settled in yet.

She asked shyly, “Why?”

“You don’t want to be roomies.” Mina pouted at her.

She quickly shook her head, “Of course I want to be roommates!”

“Good cause we thought sticking you two fake maknaes together would be the most entertaining for the reality show.” Somi added.

Chungha commented wryly, “Coming from the actual maknae.”

“Yes, I have been blessed in age unlike some ahjummas I won’t mention.” the American girl hair flipped.

The older members collectively yahed at Somi and chased after her as she sprinted up the stairs.

She would probably never get used to Somi and her high energy but Sohye liked to think she was getting a little better at it.

“Let’s go to our room!” Mina grabbed her hand.

So Sohye wasn’t the most perfect girl in the world but she liked her more because of her imperfections. Mina knew for a fact that she wasn’t perfect. After, the Position challenge, she got a lot of hate online for being a little pushy. Looking back she regretted it but at the same time she couldn’t go back and fix things.

The good thing about her crush on Sohye was that they had a whole year ahead of them, which was the bad thing too.

Only 365 days to make someone fall for you. A challenge way more difficult when she was trying to convince (seduce?) innocent Sohye.

“Are you asleep, Mina?” her crush’s soft voice asked.

She continued to stare at the ceiling, “Yup.”

“Oh…wait.” Sohye realized her joke a little late.

“What is it, Sohye?”

“I can’t go to sleep.”
