Junghwan got a call from sunwoo,as they were watching the movie.After he put down the phone Hana started nagging him

"See,they were probably waiting for you. I told you to go back" she said,with her eyes fixed to the TV.

"Aish! Just watch the movie" he answered irritated .

The movie was over . Hana turned off the TV. Junghwan's head was on her lap. "Should I bring a pillow and a blanket for you" she asked gently .

"I don't feel like sleeping yet" he answered 

"aren't you tired? today was a busy day"

"I know,but I want to......" he answered quietly

"We can do that tomorrow"she interrupted him "you should sleep,you look really tired" She stood up but Junghwan grabbed her arm.

"stay.......please" he said,giving her puppy dog eyes. Ugh she hated that he had such an effect on her. She continued walking . Junghwan gave a disappointed look.

"well? aren't you coming?" she asked,going inside. Junghwan jumped up and followed her.

He lied down next to her. "Now you better go to sleep" she ordered 

"what happened to that kid who got rejected by her classmate" Junghwan asked,knowing that would get her attention. Hana turned to him with excitement 

"well,she kept chasing him and didn't give up. He always got annoyed and scolded her." she answered

"oh,understandable" 

"that's not the best part" Hana continued" he likes her deep inside" 

"how do you know?" Junghwan asked

"he acted just like you did,he'd keep about how annoying she was,but you could see that he was always looking after her.like once,she didn't come to class after recess,and he was the first to notice,and he ran around looking for her. We later found her in the garden with a scraped knee. She'd fallen down. He kept scolding her for being careless and hurting herself,and he came with me to the nurse's office.And when I asked him why,he refused to answer" she finished smiling widely

Junghwan stared into her eyes. "Are you trying to play matchmaker or something" he asked

"nope,but I did pair them up on every project "she piped in

"Of course you did" he sighed.

"If I ever have a kid,I'd probably follow her to school and find out who she likes and set her up with him" Hana stated giggling 

"how do you know it will be a girl?" Junghwan asked

"I know it"

"what if its a boy ?" Junghwan answered

"well we'll have six kids I'm sure that at least one will be a girl. Plus I'm ready to follow my son to school as well" she answered hugging him.

"you actually believe him?"

"I was kidding"

"So......how was it...there?" she asked

"well you know...work .....as usual" he answered

"did you have to fight anyone?" she asked

"what?No,we're not in a war zone. I mainly train people,do paper work and occasionally drop food to places that have been affected by some disasters" he answered

" Aww,I'm really proud of you"

Junghwan smiled as he pulled her closer

"I'm thinking of becoming a commercial pilot after this" he said. He'd been thinking about it for a long time,and was now seriously considering it.

Hana jerked up and sat on the bed.Junghwan followed and held her hand

"Junhwan-ah,don't quit your job because of me. I don't want you to stop doing something you love,because of me. I can wait for you,even if you'll always be far away" she said looking into his eyes

"It's not about distance. My seniors told me that after this,they'd be giving me a fixed location to work at. It'll be mainly training new officers,so after this I'll always be near you,and it'll be like a normal job" he said

"then...why?" she asked

"well.... if I become a pilot we could have a more luxurious..." 

Hana interrupted him with a smack to his head.

"Are you crazy? Why would I need that. You have a stable job and it has a good pay,it's not like you're trying to make ends meet or something!" she said with anger

"But don't you want a big house,or expensive gifts?" he asked

"are you serious? My boyfriend is serving this country. That's the best gift ever" she said with pride.

" there'll be more distance between us in a big house. Plus,you look seriously hot in your uniform" Hana joked

"oh,do I?" Junghwan asked mischievously .

"I'm happy as long as I'm close to you. So after this mission,I'm not letting you go away" she said as she closed her eyes.

Junghwan could feel the bright sunlight on his face,but he didn't want to open his eyes.He was usually up early in the morning,but he was so tired that he slept in. He tried to hug Hana,but he couldn't find her next to him. So he opened his eyes and saw an empty bed. 

"Hana!" Junghwan yelled with  a grumpy voice

"I'm coming,I'm coming" Hana yelled from the other room. 

She was drying her hair with a towel " I see you're back to your grumpy self" she said with a stern look

"Get up and freshen up" she said puling him up from the bed.He was not moving so she started hitting him with a pillow.

"AAAH" he shouted and finally got up.

"here, I have a spare tooth brush,and here's some clothes" she said handing him a T-shirt and shorts

"where did you get these shirts?" he asked suspiciously

"from changmin oppa" she said leaving the room with a smile. She knew that that would irritate Junghwan

"YAH HANA!" he said yelling after her.

After about fifteen minutes he finally came to sit down for breakfast.Hana's eyes almost popped out

"why aren't you wearing a shirt?" she asked,covering her eyes

"I didn't want to wear your 'changmin oppa's ' shirt" he said eating his food

"oh my god,Junghwan,I was kidding,those are my brother's clothes" she said 

"well,you shouldn't have lied to me,now I'll just sit here like this the whole time"

"we should go to the skating rink today,since it's Christmas eve,it'll be fun" she said excitedly

"we have to go to my house today evening though" he said

"yeah,it's been a while since I visited your family" 

"I have no clothes to wear " Junghwan said

"well,we stop  by sunwoo's house before we go,maybe they'll want to join us" she suggested

"will Bora be able to skate?,isn't she like eight months pregnant?" Junghwan asked concerned

"maybe we can take Yoona along,it must be hard for them to take care of Yoona at a time like this" Hana answered

"Yah! Yoona will want to spend time with her parents too,why're you dragging her around every where" Junghwan loved Yoona too,but he wanted to spend time with just Hana. Plus Hana wouldn't let him even touch her in front of Yoona.

"we shall see when we get there" Hana said obviously unaware of Junghwan's opinion on this matter.

When they got there,sunwoo opened the door and let them in ,Hana went to to the kitchen to talk to Bora. Everyone was on their Christmas  vacation,even sunwoo who was a doctor. Junghwan hurried to his room and got dressed,when he came down,Hana was already convincing Bora into letting Yoona go with them to the rink.

Junghwan stood behind Hana and begged sunwoo to reject the idea. Of course he could only communicate through gestures,so sunwoo didn't understand it at first, But as soon as he understood he made up an excuse to prevent Yoona from joining them.

"um...Yoona wants to go watch a disney movie today" sunwoo said covering for Junghwan

"no,appa,I want to with them" Yoona shouted

"Yoona  remember,you were going to watch lion king" sunwoo said smiling sternly at her.

Bora obviously didn't have enough energy to fight and just asked Hana and Junghwan to leave without Yoona

Since the rink was close,they decided to walk there .

As they walked a salesgirl from a street stall stopped Hana

"Hey,wanna see our new couple T-shirts?" she asked pushing a shirt towards her

"omo,it's so cute" she said running into the store

"Hana....." Junghwan tried to protest,but she grabbed his hand and dragged him in.

She forced him into wearing a striped shirt. He came out and Hana was already waiting outside wearing the same T-shirt.

"AAH ,we look so cute,jungpa!" she said holding him closer.

"We'll buy it" she said to the saleswoman,who looked relieved to finally be able to sell her clothes.

They left the store wearing the shirts.

"people are staring at us" Junghwan said,uncomfortably

"they probably think we look cute together"

"let's go get an ice cream" Hana continued,running to another small store

"but you get sick,when you eat ice cream",hana ignored him 

"ajhussi! one vanilla and one chocolate" she said  knowing that Junghwan liked vanilla.

"no,ajhussi,it's okay,we're not buying " Junghwan said pulling her away

"fine,please just give me the vanilla one" she said grabbing the ice cream and handing it to Junghwan

They walked away after paying "I want to eat it too" Hana wailed

"you'd have gotten sick,and tomorrow's christmas" he said

"exactly,so I should be allowed to have a gift" she said,not convinced

"fine,you can have some of mine" he said moving it towards her. She took a bite

"mm...it tasted amazing,next time I'll get vanilla too" she said smiling. She didn't realize that there was ice cream on

"hmm girls are so weird ,they only do this in front of guys" Junghwan said,shaking his head

"do what?" Hana asked innocently

"leave ice cream on their lips" he said slyly

"oh what?" she said moving her hands to

He grabbed her hand to stop her. He moves closer to her,and Hana was still very confused.

And then he leaned towards her her, Hana closed her eyes. On seeing that Junghwan couldn't help but snicker,he got closer and whispered "here's some tissue" (A/N-Did you guys spot the secret garden reference lol)

people around were staring. Hana pushed him away

"junghwan-ah" she asked with shock

"see,now there's no more ice cream" he said smiling cunningly

"YA! you made me think that...ugh forget it"she said

"you must have expected something else,considering how you closed your eyes" Junghwan teased

" All these people are staring at us because of you,and..." Hana was interrupted

"well they were staring at us earlier because of the couple shirts too"he argued 

"fine" Hana said. Junghwan noticed that she was shivering

"are you cold?" he asked

"no-o-o" she said through gritted teeth. She tried to warm her hands by rubbing them together

"where're your gloves?" he asked

"it should be in my bag " she said looking through it

after a few seconds Hana's face quickly turned to Junghwan with a disappointed smile

"you left it at Bora's house didn't you?" he asked with a sigh

Hana nodded her head. 

"how do you plan on going to the skating rink without gloves"Junghwan scolded her

"It's not really that cold"  she wailed

"it is" he said

"but I want to go" she begged him.

"no." he said firmly

"pleeeeaaase" Hana asked pouting,trying to make the cutest face she could

"fine,but if you're going to be sick on christmas,don't blame me"he said ,grabbing one of her hands and putting it in his coat.

"I'm warm now..." she said moving closer to him

"we'll see... how you'll be after getting there" he added

Skating was fun. sort of.

Junghwan ended up giving Hana his gloves even after she acted like she didn't need them. He slid over the ice with ease, Hana was pretty good too....considering how clumsy she was on normal flat surfaces. 

Junghwan insisted that he was still way better than her,after five races,Hana accepted defeat,but challenged him to a roller skating race later. She was a self claimed pro-roller skater.

After almost two hours of fooling around in the ice skating rink,they had to rush to Junghwan's house.Hana sneezed , Junghwan looked at her suspiciously

"you're sick already,I thought it'd take a day at least" he murmered

" I'm not sick,there's just a lot of dust here" she replied confidently

She soon realized how wrong she was as she continued sneezing all the way there.By the time they'd reached the door,Hana was wearing Junghwan's jacket on top of hers. Junghwan's mother opened the door with a bright smile.

"omo,my son" she said looking at Junghwan for the first time in months,and she hugged him,then she looked at Hana

"and my daughter in law " she said happily,holding Hana's hand and dragging her inside.

Junghwan and Hana were welcomed with bright smiles and hugs,after all it was christmas eve.

Hana sat next to Junghwan's brother and his wife. She made small talk and asked them how they were doing. They very happily answered that they were great. But then man ok stared at her intently

"but Hana,you don't look so well" she said looking at Hana's tired eyes. Hana made sure that Junghwan didn't hear that.Fortunately he was in the other room with his father

"oh it's nothing, I always get a cold when I eat ice cream" she said

"ahh ,I see"  Man ok replied with a worried expression 

suddenly Hana could hear her phone ringing.She always carried her big fat nokia phone everywhere.

"Hana-ya" she heard yumi cry

"yumi?" Hana asked

"my boyfriend dumped me" she wailed

"what? today on ? new year's eve? oh my god wait till I ..." Hana said angrily

before Yumi could say anything " Yumi? where are you?" she asked

"I'm at the park close to your house" she said

"I'm coming okay,wait for me" Hana answered

"ya,but it's cold right now,just go home" Yumi whispered

"I'm coming" Hana said cutting the call.

"Unni,can you tell everyone I've gone out for a while,I'll be back soon" Hana said as she ran towards the door

"but Hana,where are you going...." man ok asked 

"my friend's boyfriend dumped her,I'm going to the park,don't tell Junghwan" Hana yelled  as she closed the door behind her.

Man ok and her husband were pretty confused. They decided to not tell Junghwan till he asked them about it. As soon as they agreed on that Junghwan walked into the room with a bottle of medicine.

"where's Hana?" he asked

Man ok looked around nervously "she went outside " she finally answered

"where?"

"to her friend in a park" Man on answered 

"AISHHH! she went out in this weather" he shouted

he ran outside grabbing another jacket. He got in his  car and went to the park closest to Hana's place. He hoped she was there,fortunately the place they lived in had only about three parks.

Junghwan decided to go to the one closest to Hana's house.

He walked around for a while, and then saw Hana talking to some girl who was cryinng. He wasn't really sure if he should interrupt them or not. So he just stood there,hiding behind a tree.

Hana seemed to be consoling the girl. She somehow still looked amazing,even though he knew that she was exhausted .

"Yumi,you'll find someone else" Hana said to her friend 

"I can't believe he just left me like that, I should have never gotten into a relationship with him" Yumi said crying.

"it's okay,people make mistakes" Hana tried to console her

"this is exactly what I deserve,I knew..." she was interrupted by Hana

"you don't deserve any of this" 

"I knew that you liked him,I still went for him,this is what I get for betraying my friend" Yumi continued looking apologetic

"what...I didn't like him. I've always liked the two of you together" she answered surprised 

"please,stop lying,I knew you liked him,it was pretty obvious,and the moment you found out that I liked him,you totally hid your feelings for him"Yumi said crying

"look,what you guys had was mutual.Even if I did like him, he would have never felt that way about me. So don't take responsibility for this" 

"plus, I'm happy that he never did like me,if he did I wouldn't have met Junghwan and fallen in love with him" Hana continued

"you love him?" Yumi asked with curiosity 

"A lot" Hana answered shyly

Junghwan couldn't help but smile. He almost giggled.

"Junghwan-ah, I can see you" Hana yelled. Panic washed over Junghwan

Junghwan carefully come out of his hiding place

"when did you notice me?" Junghwan asked

"when you started giggling" Hana answered.

"I came to give you your medicine" Junghwan answered shoving the medicine and jacket into her hands.

"thanks" Hana answered

"should I wait for you" he asked

"yes,we're almost finished " Yumi answered.

Junghwan decided to wait outside the park.

After almost ten minutes both of them finally approached.

Hana waved bye to her friend as Yumi walked to her car.

"I'm sorry I brought my car,I forgot about your fear.." Junghwan was interrupted by Hana,who opened the car door and sat down

"come in,it's cold outside" Hana yelled

Junghwan sat in the driver's seat. "so should I drive?" he asked carefully

Hana said yes,calmly

"wow you're doing pretty well" Junghwan said looking at how well Hana was handling the situation.

"If you can drive jets and planes I trust you enough to let you drive me home"

"that's good" he replied.

They were silent for the rest of the journey,but the silence was a comfortable one. Sometimes it was a warm and happy feeling to just sit next to a loved one in silence.

Junghwan decided to drop Hana home instead of going back to his parent's house.

"so..." Hana said when they reached her home

"so......" he continued

"um.. merry Christmas" Hana said and gave him a quick peck on his lips. She was about to leave when Junghwan held her right hand and stopped her. He leaned in and kissed her. And for those few moments it truly felt like it was the best Christmas present any of the two had ever received .
