After that night,it became a sort of a ritual that they did everyday.He'd wake up to loud noises from the living room. He'd act all annoyed,but then spend the whole day with Hana and yoona. Of course he never let anyone know that he did it because he wanted to,he always acted as if he had no choice but to spend time with them.His favorite part of the day was when he dropped Hana home,and they just talked to each other. 

The only days they didn't see each other were the weekends ,Junghwan would go to meet Dongryong and his friends back home,plus since Bora and sunwoo were at home Hana didn't need to look after Yoona.

Four weeks flew past. And Junghwan had become more and more fond of Hana,and the feeling was mutual.However all good times come to an end,and so Hana had to return to school.The day before she her holidays ended,junghwan tried to muster up the courage to ask her out on a date,but he couldn't . He just patted her back,and said that finally he didn't have to wake up in the morning to loud singing. Hana gave him a disappointed smile and just left.

Junghwan hadn't seen hana for almost a week  when one Sunday,the original five (sunwoo,taek ,dongryong,deoksun and junghwan )  decided to go for lunch together. And sunwoo suggested that they go to Hana's aunt's restaurant , Junghwan acted like that was the worst plan ever,but who was he to protest,after all he did go to that restaurant everyday,in hopes that she would be serving there,but her aunt told him that she only worked there during the holidays.

All of them sat down. Junghwan couldn't help but remember the last time all of them had sat down like this,it was not a good night for him.

"So,I should tell you all,why I brought you here today"said sunwoo,smiling cheek to cheek

"Bora is pregnant again" he said almost shouting.

The rest of them looked at him with shock,well everyone other than deoksun who grimly said that she already knew.

"she told me even before she told you" said deoksun proudly

"woah both of you are so close now,huh?"said Dongryong

"when do you guys even get the time,and wasn't she angry at you just a few days ago" asked junghwan

"she wasn't angry,she was just stressed because she got pregnant again" said sunwoo smiling

By that time Hana's aunt came to them to take the order.

"oh,junghwan,how are you ? asked the old lady

"I'm great"replied junghwan smiling

after she took their orders and left. Everyone stared at him in wonder.

"oh,junghwan you've been here for a month and the people here are already so comfortable with you" stated Taek

"Of course they are,junghwan has very special connections to this place,right sunwoo?" said Deoksun with a knowing smile. Obviously Bora must have also mentioned his closeness with Hana

"oh yes,he's very close to her niece,Hana" said sunwoo,still not suspecting anything.

"is she pretty?" asked Dongryong

"just concentrate on your own girlfriend" said junghwan with a hint of jealously

"wow,you're so possessive of her,now I have to meet her"stated Dongryong in a teasing voice

"she's pretty and nice"added Taek

"you know her?" asked dongryong 

"yeah,Deoksun and I met her at the hospital,when yoona was born" replied Taek 

"why am I the last to know everything in this group" said Dongryong feeling betrayed 

Afterwards their food arrived,and they started talking about Taek and deoksun's wedding.

Junghwan's attention was not there,as he could here hana's aunt on the phone .

"WHAT?! you're outside his house again? how many times have I told you to stop doing that,last time you waited hours and hours in front of his door,but he didn't come out,what is wrong with you. PARK HANA COME BACK HERE NOW!!" shouted the old lady ." she cut the phone,wait till I see her,I'm going to kill her this time"

Junghwan didn't have time to process all the information,all he knew was that Hana was outside some guy's house and that he had to go there.

He ran to the old lady

"Tell me where she is,I'll bring her back" he said quickly

"who Hana? she's at this...."said the aunt

Junghwan interrupted her

"just write down the address I'll  bring her back" replied Junghwan

Her aunt wrote down the address and gave him and umbrella. 

He took his bike and rode it fast.Since his car was still getting repaired one of his friends  had lent him his bike while he was out of town. Hana's aunt was quite satisfied "finally her fangirling has been of some use" she said under her breath.

He finally reached the address. He could see a whole group of girls,most of them were holding posters with 'Tony' written on it. 

After a while,he finally saw Hana. He walked to her. She was sitting next to some other girl

"shi won,maybe if we wait for a bit more time,he'll come out" said Hana with a tired voice

"yes unni,we will wait until he surrenders. I didn't write him a letter with blood for nothing" replied shi won in full spirit. 

Junghwan was already scared of this girl who claims to have written a letter in blood

"woah,impressive,I still have a lot to learn" said Hana with respect

Junghwan rolled his eyes.The guy who she waiting for was a celebrity

"YA,Hana stand up,and come with me" said junghwan

"why?" asked Hana

"Because your aunt is worried" replied junghwan

"You're here because my aunt's worried?or are you worried junghwan?" she asked

That was the first time she'd ever called his name,but she also sounded a bit drunk

"are you drunk?" asked junghwan

"maybe" said Hana smiling and holding up a beer can

"what kind of person drinks at lunch time" asked junghwan

"hey,we drink to get endurance" said shi won

" you look a bit too young to drink" said junghwan to shiwon

"I'm 21,and blah blah,you sound just like yoonjae,always nagging people" she said 

"who is yoonjae? " asked Hana with interest

"he was my best friend ,he doesn't talk to me anymore" said shi won almost wailing 

"oh,it's okay all men are the same" said Hana looking at Junghwan angrily.

"what did I do?" asked junghwan. Hana didn't give him a reply,she just glared at him

after a while Junghwan finally convinced her to home with him. While he offered shiwon a ride,she refused saying that she'd sit there till she achieved her goal.

He sat on the bike with Hana,she wrapped her hand around him,and he rode the bike

"Jungpa,why didn't you call me,it's been so long " she said from behind his back.

She was so close to him,that his heart started beating fast

"what,so long? it's been a week" said junghwan

"ya sure,okay" said Hana sleepily.

For a few minutes she didn't talk. 

"hey.are you awake?" asked junghwan

"mmm" she mumbled

"I guess not" said junghwan. He like how she was basically hugging him. After about an hour he reached the restaurant . He woke her up

"Hana we're here" he said turning his head back,she woke up with a start. He turned around to see her face.

she was rubbing her eyes,her hair was messy,but she looked beautiful. He was perplexed,how could she look pretty with messy hair and red eyes.

she held his hand walked into the restaurant

"oh you're back,you didn't need to hurry,you could've come back slowly" said her aunt

Hana glared at her, and pulled her into the kitchen,

The rest of the group was still there.

"Junghwan where were you?" asked sunwoo worried

" that idiot went to sit infront of some celebrity's house and I had to bring her back he said irritated .

Dongryong looked suspicious but said nothing. They all went home after that .Dongryong stayed back to talk to jun

"you like her" stated Dongryong,and it wasn't a question

Junghwan stayed silent on the matter. The truth was that he himself was not sure if he liked her or not.

"don't hesitate this time" said Dongryong with a knowing smile

"and ask her about that ring" he added before leaving.The ring,junghwan had completely forgotten about it.

That night Hana kept thinking about junghwan's friends. She knew deoksun and Taek from before but she obviously knew sunwoo but all of them sitting together liked that gave her a weird feeling. And that night she found out why.

She had a dream,of the night she found that ring. Though she couldn't see the faces clearly she could make out who they were. It was the same group of people.....that meant that the guy who left the ring on the table was Junghwan. She woke up and her head filled with thoughts....

Was that ring meant to be for Deoksun? she wondered. That explained why junghwan looked a bit sad on the mention of her wedding. 

Deoksun was his first love. She had finally figured it out. It gave her a bittersweet feeling. She was sad because she knew that junghwan loved deoksun but also sort of happy because she knew deoksun was with Taek( which then resulted in her feeling guilty because she felt happy). She also kind of felt like she shouldn't wear that ring anymore,like it didn't belong to her. She decided to return it to him. She got out a ring box and put the ring inside. She also decided that she was too scared to just give it to him. 

She decided to get him to go to the carnival with her,Just before they go home,she'd return it to him.Maybe if he spend the whole day having fun,he'd find it easier to forgive her. In a way she did steal his ring. There was no way he's like her now,but she had to tell the truth and return it to him.

She called Junghwan up

"Hey Junghwan,can we meet up today at the carnival" she asked nervously

there was silence on the line. Junghwan was shocked to hear her use his real name,was it going to become a habit now,maybe she's drunk again,no she sounded fine,maybe a just bit sad.

"yeah okay,sunwoo and Bora are not working this monday anyway" He said,trying to act a bit grumpy

"Okay so see you at 3?" she asked

"ok" he replied and then she cut the phone. She didn't if she should feel happy or sad. If he had rejected the offer,she could have kept stalling ,and not have told him the truth. But she realized that he'd find out some day and it was better for it to be as soon as possible.

Junghwan kept staring at the clock. At one thirty he went to have a shower and get dressed. He kept changing his clothes He combed his hair and went back downstairs. 

Bora and sunwoo looked at him shocked. Yoona had returned from preschool and screamed that jungpa looked handsome.

"where are you going?" asked sunwoo

"nowhere "replied Junghwan. It was only 2. He kept staring at the clock " Aish! why is time moving so slowly" yelled Junghwan frustrated 

"It's moving at normal pace,you on the other hand are currently everything but normal" said sunwoo

Finally,it was time for junghwan to leave. The moment the clock struck 3 junghwan was there. Patiently waiting. He waited for about fifteen minutes,before he had thoughts that she stood him up. He had a pang of disappointment. He was about to leave when someone tapped his shoulder

"YA? where were you,I've been waiting for so long" said Hana

"where?I've been waiting too" he replied,happy that she came

"maybe next time we should decide a spot to meet at."He said

I hope there is a next time....Hana thought.

"I've already gotten the tickets so we can go in."she said

The walked in. The place was beautiful ,covered with stalls selling stuff,to stalls with games,there was even a ferris wheel.

Hana kept going to every stall and trying things.She got to this stall with a bracelets,and stared longingly at one.

"if you like it so much you should buy it" He stated simply

"it's a sweetheart bracelet ,it has a lock that can only be opened with a key. They key is kept with a person you love.....I can't just buy it.....the perks of being single haha" she said 

she walked to the next stall,and Junghwan followed closely . "omo,a fortune teller" said Hana excitedly

"NO.They are just quacks who make money out of people's stupidity" said junghwan,he was never ever going to go to a fortune teller.

Yet there he was five minutes later,next to Hana,who obviously believed every single thing the fortune teller was saying.

"you are a very hard working person" said the fortune teller

"I don't mean to brag but...it's true" said Hana smiling. Junghwan's eyes almost rolled to the back of his head

"your were in a bad situation a few years ago" said the fortune teller. Hana nodded her head furiously.Junghwan smirked,everyone has been in a bad situation, this woman is an absolute fake,he thought to himself.

"It was a car accident right?" asked the fortune teller.

Hana nodded again. Junghwan looked at her, well that explained why she didn't like to be in cars at night.Maybe this fortune teller wasn't lying after all.

"you are going to die soon right,and you haven't told your boyfriend" she said looking at Junghwan

Junghwan panicked,he looked at Hana for a reaction,was it true?

Hana's eyes widened in shock

"What?" asked Hana confused

"well,the mood was so serious,I had to try" said the fortune teller chuckling 

Junghwan sighed in relief.He gave his most expressionless face everto indicate that he was clearly unimpressed by the joke.

They left after that. They continued to run around(basically hana ran around and pulled junghwan with her)  and played games. They even rode the Ferris wheel. And unlike most girls Hana wasn't afraid of heights or looking down,so junghwan didn't really get an opportunity to hold her close to 'protect' her or anything.

While walking around,they saw some couple game where the guy would piggyback the girl and run. Hana put their names and junghwan,after much convincing agreed. Junghwan bent down and she climbed on his back. 

There were three other couples running with them. One of the couples,the girl who was rather big was carrying the guy who was quite short. The other two couples seemed like your ordinary in-love couples.

"we can easily beat them" whispered Hana into junghwan's ear. well, he liked her confidence

They started running,Junghwan was in the lead,with Hana constantly  cheering for him. It was kind of fun for both of them. 

They almost reached the finish line,but the girl who was carrying her boyfriend crossed the finish line before them, leaving them with the second place prize.

"well,atleast we got second" said Hana still happy.

The first place couple got a gift basket full of food and other small gifts.  Junghwan and Hana got three photos of them while running for free.Junghwan had to stop Hana from fighting with the organizers of the competition.

"What kind of a prize are photos" she asked angrily

"well it is a carnival,not the Olympics,what did you expect? " asked Junghwan

"atleast the photos look nice" said Hana. 

She was right the photos did look nice. One was a picture of them waiting for the race to start,Hana was whispering something in his ear,and he was smiling.The next one was taken when they running. Both of them had focused looks on their faces.The third one was taken when the finished the race, Both of them had the biggest smiles even though they had come second,Hana was holding on tightly to junghwan and junghwan was smiling ear to ear.

That was when Junghwan noticed that Hana wasn't wearing the ring. In all three of the photos,her fingers were bare.He decided to ignore it.

By then night dawned upon them. Junghwan was sad that the day was alost coming to an end. For their last activity they decided to watch the fireworks together. They sat on a field and watched the show. The place was filled with people watching the fireworks show.

Hana looked up at wonder,while junghwan looked at Hana. Both of them clearly liking what they saw.

Hana then remembered the reason why she brought him here in the first place. she took out the ring box and placed it in Junghwan's hand.

" I think this is yours" she said.

He opened it,and saw his ring,his eyes widened in surprise.

"so I was right" he said

"how did you get it" he added

Hana explained the whole story to him,he just nodded.

"so was it for deoksun?" she asked

"it's no use hiding it from you,in a way yes and in a way no. It was a ring I used to move on " he answered.

"why did you move on?why didn't you guys get together" she asked

Junghwan stared at her,he realized why he didn't get deoksun,it wasn't bad luck, it was because he hesitated,because he waited.

"because I didn't make a move like this..." he said ,suddenly cupping her face and kissing her.

She was initially shocked but then closed her eyes and kissed him back. He could feel her smiling, it was an amazing feeling. He felt like every moment in his life had led him here,like everything in his life happened so that he could meet her.She felt the same

Both of them were not focusing on the fireworks,they were creating their own.

They finally broke apart. "I think the ring is yours" said junghwan smiling at her

she took it and wore it. she smiled happily. He had come on his bike,so he decided to drop her back home.

"are you k with being on a bike at night?" he asked

"ya,I guess,I think my phobia is only of cars" she said grinning.

They sat on the bike,she hugged him and then they were off.On the way there junghwan coudn't help but ask questions on her accident

"so how long ago was your accident?" he asked

"around four years ago,I was going to some party with my parents,and we collided against this other car,luckily everyone survived. But I still have a tiny fear of driving at night. "she said

"not the typical tragic and sad accident story" she added

"That's good" he said

he dropped her home,and she gave him a kiss on his cheek before running into her house. 

Junghwan touched his cheek and kept smiling all the way home.

"Ya,junghwan is this some time to come home" asked sunwoo worried

Jughwan didn't repy he just went to his room,and jumped up and down with happiness.He took out his wallet and placed one of the pictures from earlier that day,the one taken after they got second place. They may have gotten second place,but he felt like a winner.

In case you guys didn't know jughwan(ryu jun yeol)has filmed a commercial for everland. He's totally acting like junghwan there,and he is seen with a girl in the ad. It's extremely cute.
