5th Track: Of Never Giving Up

“Was someone here?” He mumbled.

“What should we do? Will people find out about us?” She whispered as she tugged on his sleeve.

“We’ll be fine. Let’s exit quickly.”

Yumi could hardly believe her ears, how on earth did she not realise the signs; he only saw her and vice versa.

She started getting dizzy, submitting into the arms of darkness and was welcomed by the cold, gentle waves of the

water when suddenly a splash rippled through the water and grabbed her hands before lifting her out of the water.

“Ah!” She started coughing and got a shock when she discovered that the notorious Kwon Jiyong had just saved her

form drowning.

She heard soft sounds of sobbing coming from the male, “Are you that stupid to kill yourself over that jerk?”

“Then, why are you crying? You’re the idiot.”

“If you’ve never had beer in your school uniform-”

“I’ll regret it in the future. I get it.” She lifted the can up to her lips and downed a sip of it only to cough it back up soon after.

“Why does it taste like this?”

“Pssh,” He scoffed as he snatched the can from her and downed it in a single go.

“Did you write this?” Yumi asked when she caught sight of the written envelope addressed to Dara.

“You like Park Sandara?” She continued.

She lifted up the letter to read it.

“Dear Dara, when you were trying on that hairband yesterday, I really longed to touch that beautiful black hair of

yours? You’re so erted! Because knowing you was a great fortune for me? Quoting lyrics. How lame.” She scoffed

and it attracted his attention because the next thing she knew, the can of beer was crushed in his hands.

“Um, I mean we’re on the same boat now right, we both got dumped by them?”

“For the first time, you’re smart.”

“Huh?”

“Let’s help them break up, if you help me get Dara, won’t your Mr. Choi be single again?”

And so, the spying began. As they climbed up the staircase, they overheard the other two’s conversation.

“Did you bring the milk and bottle?”
