A Cold Embrace?
Your Loss Is My GainEunJi's POV:
"Hey ." Youngmi casually greeted. She shoved a spoonful of raisin bran in , eyes focused onto the television screen. As I rummaged through the fridge, I noticed the TV's volume had increased a couple of levels.
Just as I thought, it's another one of those mornings. I know it's never good whenever Youngmi's up early. She always wakes up early to re-watch any Minwoo and L.Joe things. She doesn't even like them, she just makes sure I hear the news about them. I've been dating L.Joe for almost ten months. Does it look like I need to be updated on L.Joe facts?
"Who's the four-one-one about this time, L.Joe or Minwoo?" I blandly asked her as I joined my older sister on the couch.
"What are you talking about?" she replied, acting all innocent and clueless.
3...2...1... "Minwoo."
"What's new this time? Did he grow a millimetre?"
"Haha, real funny." I see her sarcasm was certainly awake as well. She rolled her dark orbs before continuing, "Just watch the damn channel. His part is coming up soon."
"No, no, it's nothing like that. You see, I want a certain girl to notice me for once. I want her to consider me as an actual Boyfriend. I want Park EunJi to finally realize I still love her after all of this time. EunJi, if you're watching this, that's what I've been trying to tell you for over a year. I love you."
It was like one of those sappy romance movies. After finally hearing the guy confess, you have a mental shutdown. You suddenly lose your sense of hearing, and your vision is starting to get fuzzy. Your jaw automatically drops to the floor along with your stomach. Nothing could make you feel any sicker. Although you want to barf, it's sort of in a good way (if possible). Then there's your friend -in my case a lazy older sister- waving their hand before your eyes, bring you back to Earth.
"Did you hear that? YAH! I said did you hear that?!" Youngmi screamed, getting all up in my face. Her nails dug into my flesh as she shook the soul right out of me. "Aren't you happy? This is what you wanted late autumn last year right?"
"It was...hold up, how did you know that?" I slowly cranked my neck to her. She smiled sheepishly and opened to speak. Instead of explaining anything, her hand went to turn up the volume even more. "I might have looked through your diary while you know, you were gone." she slowly answered in a hushed tone.
"Youngmi you are so-"
"YOU GOT A MESSAGJI!" Youngmi suddenly blurted out loud after hearing my text alarm going off. It seems every day I feel more and more ashamed to call her my sister. Whoever it was just saved my voice from laryngitis. I swear, if Youngmi sent that message just to sing MYNAME and get me out of the room...
