"Irene. Irene. Irene" Soft little nudges were felt against my sore arm. His soft gray hair brushed against my nose, a little chuckle earned from my rose colored lips. 

"Mm?" My eyes fluttered open as I examined the boy's face hovered above me. 

"You don't have to go to school today. Your face is still puffy." He scrunched his nose up, a habit he took off me whenever he was worried or mad. 

"Says the one who did this to me" 

"I'm sorry- I-" My hands cupped his soft cheeks before shaking my head. 

"It would've happened anyway. It's okay" 

"Irene. You say that to everyone and everything. You always say it's okay when it's not" His hand laid on top of mine with a saddened frown. 

"It's a way of comforting myself. That way I won't have to stress about not having anyone here"

"Shh. Chanyeol. Don't say anything." My stomach ached as I tried to sit up. 

"Don't move Irene. Let me look at your lil' belly" He chuckled as he placed a warm pack onto my bruised stomach.

"Do you really think this will help it?" A snort left my lips as I cringed at the after pain. 

"Well. Uh. Shut up Irene. I'm just trying to help" 

"What happened to Mr Sadist?"

"That wasn't me Irene. I lost it for a while"

"And when you say it, do you mean sanity?"

"Yes"

"Lucky. I lost that long ago" I closed my eyes as I pictured what Kai would be doing at this hour. He would be at school. Studying. I missed him. But I put the thought of him aside for my own good. I wanted to make it all stop. If Kai were to hurt me in the near future, then make it stop. If my parents were to continue like this, make it stop. If I am going to be lost within insanity, make it stop. Stop my oxygen from flowing through my body. Stop it. Let me turn to dust because I'm this close to making it happen. 

"Irene. Have you taken your pills today?"
