The next day Chohee already back to work. She felt a bit sleepy since she couldn’t sleep well last night. That because she just too busy to recall whether Dr. Jung really kissed her or not and when she glanced at the clock, it was already passed midnight. She ran in panic as the elevator’s door almost closed. Thanks to somebody on the elevator who held the door for her. Chohee froze when she realized that somebody was no other then Jung Taekwoon, the one who kept her wide awake last night.

 

“ Are you going in or not? ” he asked in monotone.

 

“ N…Neh ” she answered nervously.

 

She glanced at him then pouted. After spending the night at her place and probably kissed her, how come he still acted cold at her. Was he bipolar or something?

 

“ You should take couple days more ”.

 

“ It’s okay, Doc. I’m better now ”.

 

Taekwoon started to cough until his usual pale face became red. He sighed then touched his own fore head. Chohee couldn’t help but worry about Taekwoon. Wait, did he catch my flu because he kissed me last night? So he did really kiss me???? Or maybe not. Just the thought of that made her cheeks flushed. She glanced at him then touched her lips. The elevator stopped at 2^nd floor. The door was opened and revealed Hyuk.

 

“ Hyung, Chohee-sshi… ”.

 

Chohee bowed to greet Hyuk whereas Taekwoon just nodded at him. He stood beside Chohee so she was between those two tall doctors. He pressed button to 7^th floor. Chohee’s eyes widen, that was the CEO’s office.

 

“ Abeoji wants to meet me. Hyung, you want to tag along and say hello too? ”.

 

‘So he is really the CEO’s son’ Chohee thought.

 

“ I’m busy ”.

 

“ It can’t be helped then. By the way hyung, have you meet noona? She just back from States this week ”.

 

Unlike how indifferent he reacted to Hyuk’s first question, the later question drew his attention. That question was likely triggered something inside Taekwoon. He turned around to face Hyuk properly. Chohee could tell he was angry from his hardened jaw. She turned to Hyuk who faced Taekwoon calmly. She swore she saw Hyuk smirked.

 

Chohee just realized she stuck in the middle of this staring contest and it was awkward as hell. They broke their staring contest as the elevator’s door opened at 3^rd floor. Chohee bowed and quickly rushed out.

“ Lucky you ” Jessica squealed.

 

“ What so lucky about stuck in the middle of two giants who looked like ready to punch each other. How if they accidentally punch me too ”.

 

“ You lucky to be there to verify that gossip about maknae and Leo hated each other was true. I only speculate and heard from others. No way to confirm that and you….you witness it with your own eyes, lucky you ”.

 

“ Whatever ” Chohee rolled her eyes.

 

“ Let’s go home ”.

 

“ Already? ” Chohee asked in disbelief.

 

“ Sick people can’t stay out too long, you need to go home and take more rest ”.

 

“ I told you I’m better now ”.

 

“ I don’t believe you and this is my treat since you give me a very confidential story ” Jessica said then got up to pay.

 

Jessica and Chohee walked down to ride subway. They waved to each other since their houses were on opposite route. The subway hasn’t arrived yet. She decided to listen to music so she plugged her ears with earphone. After that talkative-jessica left, the silent became awkward. She sighed as a sad song randomly played.

 

She couldn’t tell Jessica that Taekwoon spent night at her place and possibly kissed her. She might go crazy if she knew it. After what happen between Hyuk and Taekwoon at elevator, the puzzle was finally complete.

 

Taekwoon confused with his feeling because someone that he used to love suddenly comeback into his life. At the same time, Hyuk said that his noona just comeback from States. Isn’t it makes sense? The one that Taekwoon was talking about no other than Hyuk’s noona, Taekwoon’s ex-girlfriend, Hakyeon’s fiancé. Can it be more complicated? Talk about that woman she was lucky to born from wealthy family, has super handsome brother, ex-boyfriend, and fiancé. She must be really pretty.

 

Chohee suddenly curious what kind of woman she was. A woman who could melt cold-hearted person like Taekwoon and meanie like Cha Hakyeon at the same time. She must be pretty, smart, elegant…. Argh…. Just the thought of how perfect was her made Chohee Jealous.

Jessica was visiting Chohee to ask Taekwoon’s sign for some medical record. After a short explanation, Jessica glanced at Chohee and found her staring at her….well she almost like glaring at her.

 

“ What? ” Jessica asked.

 

“ What what?? ”.

 

“ Spill it? Do you want to ask me something right? What is it? ”.

 

“ Ah…. No. It’s not important….It just… have you ever seen CEO’s daughter? ”.

 

“ Miss Han? I have on her engagement party with bibucha ”.

 

“ What kind of person she is? Is she pretty? ”.

 

Suddenly the door of Chohee’s office opened. She found Hyuk waved cutely at her as always.

 

“ Why didn’t you ask Dr. Han yourself? ” Jessica winked at Chohee then left.

 

“ Ask what? ” Hyuk looked at Jessica then at Chohee.

 

“  It’s nothing doc. What are you doing here? ” Chohee asked trying to change the subject.

 

“ Why?? Am I not allowed to visit you? ” he pouted.

 

“ I mean you and Dr. Jung seem like have a problem yesterday. I think it’s not wise to visit him ”.

 

“ I don’t have any problem with him, he is the one who has problem with me or something like that. I don’t know ” he just shrugged.

 

“ Now answer me, what you want to ask me? ”.

 

“ It’s just…. I wonder what kind of person Miss Han is? ”.

 

“ Our noona? Why you suddenly curious about her? ”.

 

“ It’s just I heard people mentioning about her. It seems like I’m the only who didn’t know anything about her. So I wonder what kind of person she is? ”.

 

“ Hm….It’s the first time person ask me this question. Our noona…. Honestly she is a bit ‘different’. Our families were blessed with smart brain, except my noona. It’s true that pretty girls are mostly dumb. My noona is the living proof ” he said dissing his own sister.

 

“ My dad aware of this so he didn’t force her to be a doctor…his heir. He still has me anyway and being a doctor was my dream since I was a kid. My dad told her to chase whatever her passion was, and it was to be fashion designer. She is really grumpy, but when she is in good mood she can be really kind and cute. She is innocent when it comes about love, that’s why she’s always the one who gets hurt “.

 

Chohee was listening every word Hyuk said carefully. She could tell he really loved his sister. His face looked serious when he told her the last sentence. She is innocent when it comes about love, that’s why she’s always the one who gets hurt. Did Taekwoon hurt her too?

 

“ You owe to treat me meal ”.

 

“ Me?? Why? ”.

 

“ I just answer your very personal question with an essay. Don’t I deserve a treat? Isn’t today payment day too? ”.

 

“ Arasso…. Just don’t ask something expensive ”.

 

“ Like what? ”

 

“ Chicken feet? ”.

 

“ Err…okay ”.

 

“ Call. But when? ”.

 

“ Ehm… How about I save this treat for later. I don’t know when, but someday I’ll ask you to treat me and you have to spare your time no matter what  ”.

 

“ Okay~ ”.

 

“ I’ll leave then, before hyung comes. See you later ” he patted Chohee’s head then left.

 

“ What a weird guy ”.

 

She just looked at Hyuk confusedly. She touched the part he just touched. His warm touch somehow still lingered in there.

The working hours were ended but suddenly the rain was pouring hard. Chohee decided to wait the rain to calm down. 2 hours passed and there was no sign it would stop, it even worsened.  Chohee stared at the window desperately. She always brought her umbrella with her. Why it has to be rainy when I forget to bring my umbrella. She heard the door of the office being opened. She walked toward door and found Taekwoon.

 

“ Doc ” she said then bowed at him.

 

“ Why you haven’t leave yet? ”.

 

“ It’s still rainy outside, I forget to bring my umbrella ”.

 

“ I’ll take you home ”.

 

“ Ne??? Anieyo, doc. . I’ll just wait a little bit more, the rain probably will stop soon ”.

 

“ It won’t ” Taekwoon said then left.

 

“ I thought you want to taek me home ” she played with his name.

 

What a cold man. Chohee turned around and realized her bag was gone. She looked at Taekwoon who walked away with her bag on his other hand.

 

“ My bag !!! Dr. Jung!!! My bag ”.

 

Chohee finally let Taekwoon took her home. She didn’t have any choice. He said he wouldn’t return her bag if she didn’t let him drives her. She glanced at Taekwoon who drove to the right way to her house without her lead. It was just a simple thing. But the thought that he knew the way to her house somehow fluttering.

 

Taekwoon stopped his car in front of the alley of Chohee’s house. Chohee was going to say goodbye but she just realized Taekwoon was too quiet. He just stared at the front blankly. Only the sound of the wipers and rain drops filled the air.

 

“ Thanks for the ride ” she said.

 

“ Wait…. ”.

 

“ Neh? ”.

 

“ Mianhaeyo ”.

 

“ For what? ”.

 

“ For being a jerk. I shouldn’t take advantage of you that night ”.

 

Chohee’s eyes were widened. There was no way she misheard him. He said it clearly.

 

“ So you did kiss me that night? ”.

 

“ I did… I’m sorry ”.

 

“ Do you like me? ”.

 

Chohee bites her lower lip nervously. She couldn’t believe she asked that question bluntly. Taekwoon didn’t say anything and she instantly regretted it. Tears were started clouded her eyes but she forced herself to smile. Of course not, who do you think you are Jung Chohee? She felt humiliated.

 

“ I’m sorry, just…forget it ” she said then held the door knob to open it.

 

Taekwoon suddenly pulled her upper arm to stop her. She turned around and faced his face which was really closed to her. She held her breath. She afraid if she exhaled, their lips would meet.

 

 “ I can’t answer it without confirming my feeling first ”.

 

“ How? ”.

 

As if her question was a cue, Taekwoon kissed her. Chohee was shocked with how much forces he put on the kiss. She couldn’t help but back away. But Taekwoon quickly held her neck to keep her still. Slowly but sure she followed his lead.

 

Taekwoon finally pulled away. She slowly opened her eyes and stared straight into his eyes. She just realizes how beautiful Taekwoon is. He slipped strains of her hair that covered her cheek behind her ear, eyes never left hers. He leaned over again to give her more passionate kiss.

Hi I think this is my first time write author note for this fanfic. I was listening to iKon - Apologize when I wrote the last part of this chapter. Why? Because that song suit the mood of this chapter and represents Taekwoon's feeling as well. Brace yourself because I will start the drama soon :D
