Lies
Pretty Boys CaféOC'S POV
"Remember, before school started? I asked for us to meet up? You never came, what happened?" Hansol pointed out and stared at me with a funny look on his face.
"Ah, I wasn't feeling very well.." I lied and smiled, the napkin in front of me. "And I kinda forgot to tell you. Sorry."
He shook his head with a chuckle. "It's alright, but you're fine now right?"
"Yeah."
Lies. All lies.
"Anyway, that day, I saw her."
"Who?"
"My best friend. She came back after all those years. Once she got here, she went straight to the planetarium."
"Oh really? I'm so glad for you! You must be happy!"
Another lie.
I shouldn't have asked. I should've known, the happy crinkle in his eyes, the way he speaking, super animated, and I smiled weakly. I kept nodding along to his words that never seemed to reach my ears, the words that didn't make any sense and yet, I knew perfectly well what happened.
"You love her don't you?" I blurted out suddenly and he froze. Then, a sheepish smile blossomed on his lip as he rubbed his nape.
"It was that obvious?" He asked with his head tilted slightly to the side and I smiled, my heart throbbing in pain for some reason.
"Very obvious.."

I collapsed on the bed, feeling more tired than ever. The whole night was a blur, I couldn't remember anything and just felt numb. Did the times that we spent together mean nothing? I sighed and rolled around so I'm lying on my front.
What times?... What did we do together? All we did was spend a night together under fake stars in a fake forest. Everything was probably as real as fool's gold.
"Well, aren't you dumb."
