Chapter 2 – Second encounter

Minho pulled over to his house and turned off the engine. Sighing, he stepped out of his car and headed for the door. Unlocking it, he went over to his alarm system and shut it off. He walked into his kitchen and pulled out a bottle of red wine. Popping the top, Minho tipped his head back and took a long drink.

His large hand raked through his black hair frustratingly and then rubbed his face. Why couldn't he be at ease? For the whole trip from her house to the bar, until he was now home, Minho couldn't take the girl out of his mind.

Minho wondered what Choi Jinri would be like when she wasn't smashed. He then walked up the wooden stairs and couldn't help but think of the way she looked after those two guys ripped her shirt. And then when she pulled the rest off in front of him….

God!! He needed to stop!

Growling in frustration, Minho headed for the shower. He realized that it had been too long ever since some innocent little chit was getting to him and now a cold shower was definitely in order.

Jinri walked into the local bookstore the next day. She dressed casually in a pair of skinny, denim jeans, a form fitting white t-shirt and a pair of the flat shoes. She walked down the aisles, scanning the titles of the books. Biting her lower lip, she pulled a paperback off the shelf and read the back. Sighing softly, she put it back before moving on.

As Jinri moved to the Romance section, her mind suddenly drifted to the stranger she met at the bar the night before. Choi Minho fit the clique of tall, dark, and very handsome to a tee, everything that she was looking for in a man. Admitted it, Jinri couldn't help but be attracted to that man. Groaning, she pulled her hand through her mess of curls and shook her head.

Jinri continued to wonder around, she pulled another book off the shelf and again, she scanned the back before deciding to buy it. As she turned her heel about heading to the registers, she suddenly bumped into something hard.

Gasping, Jinri stumbled back a bit and then she looked up. Way up until…..

What was he doing here?

"Obviously, I'm looking for a book." Said Minho, a smirk played on his lips as he was able to read her reaction or he wasn't?!

Jinri's brows shot up, not realizing that she has spoken what she thought out loud. "Oh…..well…..I'll let you get to that." She started to move away.

Minho stopped Jinri as he softly held her arm and grabbed the book from her hand. He flipped it over and chuckled. "A romance fan? I didn't think soft would be your style."

Jinri felt her cheeks turn red and hot. "Mr. Choi…..give me my book, please."

"Answer me first. You are a romantic?" Persisted Minho as he held the book out of her reach. His y lips set in a thin line upward, obviously teasing her. He then put his arms cross over his chest, staring at her.

Jinri folded her arms over her chest, mimicking him. "Yes, I am. Happy now?"

"Very." Grinned Minho. He retrieved Jinri's her book as he continued to look at her.

"What?" Asked Jinri. She snatched her book from his hand as she couldn't stand his straight stare toward her.

"Well, is your hair naturally like that?" Asked Minho.

"Like what? Wavy?" Asked Jinri as she touched her hair and Minho nodded. "Yes and I didn't feel like messing with it this afternoon. Wait! Why am I telling you this? Go find your book. And yes right, it's nice to meet you here. I have your shirt in my car, now I'll go get it for you."

Minho smirked. "I don't want it."

Jinri raised a brow. "Why?"

"Because that we will have an excuse to meet again. Isn't it?"

Jinri couldn't help but laugh. "Mr. Choi…."

Minho silenced her with a long finger on her lips. "My name is Minho."

"Fine….Minho, I don't think we should see each other again." Said Jinri.

"Why's that?" Asked Minho as he leaned against the book shelf and watched her.

Jinri studied Minho hard before she threw him a question. "Why did you go to jail?"

Minho laughed. "Random much?"

"Seriously! Tell me."

Minho shrugged. "I got caught."

"Obviously." Said Jinri as she briefly rolled her eyes. "How long and for what?"

"Five years." Answered Minho as he smirked. "And you just said that you don't want to see me again, so why should I tell you what I did?"

"Because I'm curious." Dared Jinri as she stared up at him.

Minho didn't answer, he just really looked at her and grinned. He could tell Jinri had been drinking the night before. She looked hung over. Well, she looked more tired, but he knew better.

"What are you staring at?" Her sweet voice interrupted his thoughts.

"You." Responded Minho with an obvious answer. "Did you sleep well last night?"

Jinri blushed again. How could this man even tell that? "A little…well, if you have to know
