Day 29

Baekyeol

Context: EXO is on their way to the dorm, having just arrived to Korea in the middle of the night. Everyone is asleep, except a Baekhyun and Chanyeol.

Doing something sweet ~

“Okay guys, I’ll turn of the lights then” Everyone nodded and leaned back in their seats, happy that they would finally be able to rest properly for a few hours. Sure their necks would be stiff for a while, but they needed the sleep after the long flight.

The driver pressed the switch and started the car, heading towards the K dorm which was about 2 hours away.

They all fell asleep within 10 minutes and soft snores and mewl could soon be heard.

Baekhyun wasn’t asleep, he was sitting beside Chanyeol, tiredly admiring the taller boy’s facial structure as the moonlight fell upon him, and he couldn’t help but smile at how handsome he looked, though his smile was soon taken over by a light frown as he was once again reminded that he couldn’t feel like that in public. Even though all five boys around him were safely sleeping, he still thought to himself that they couldn’t see, they couldn’t know it was like this. They would take Chanyeol if they knew.

He pouted slightly but decided that resting his head on the other was nothing but a friendly thing to do, so he shifted a bit in his seat and let himself rest against the taller boy beside him, not being able to hide a slight smile as he closed his eyes.

“Aren’t you asleep yet?” A low husky whisper made his eyes open again, only to be met by a pair of sleepy dark eyes and a very sweet smile.

“I can’t sleep” The smaller frowned once again, nuzzling his face closer to Chanyeol.

“Me neither” Chanyeol’s smile was warm and sincere, and it made Baekhyun’s heart melt like no other.

The taller wrapped his arm around Baekhyun’s shoulder, pressing him closer, pressing his soft lips onto the top of Baekhyun’s head shortly.

“This ” Baekhyun mumbled letting his eyes flow along with whatever the car drove by.

“I know”

“Why can’t we just tell them” Baekhyun’s voice sounded whiny and he knew it, but he needed to whine a bit now and then.

“You know we can’t” Chanyeol’s voice was also noticeably filled with misery, but at the same time it was calm and soothing to Baekhyun’s ears.

“But this is just…” Baekhyun lacked of words to describe how miserable he felt, having to hide how greatly he loved the younger, and while at the same time having to be around him 24/7.

“Think of it as a cheesy comic book! We are the main superhero team and because we’re sent out to save the world, we can’t tell our Master that we’re in love. It could affect us in an unwanted way when we had to save the world” Baekhyun couldn’t help but smile widely as the younger boy lined out the entire plot of their very own comic book. He snuggled a bit closer, enjoying the fact that he was able to for a second.

“Now, you should get some sleep okay? We’ll be back in the dorm soon, and we won’t get much sleep before having to leave”

“Okay” Baekhyun tried to smile, but knowing that the taller was going to remove his arm from his shoulder made him want to frown once again.

“Sweet dreams Baek” Chanyeol whispered before pulling his arm away and pecking the smaller boy’s cheek, sending him off to his dreams.
