Because I Love You (Chapter 8)

Taeyeon stood up slowly with her scarf wrapped around her neck to keep her warm out in the cold. The cold wind blew and she shivered. She felt like crying but she held it in. She sighed in disappointment and decided to wait no longer.

Her heart was filled with pain and sorrow, wondering why Baekhyun did not turn up. She soullessly walked herself towards the direction of the dorm and suddenly heard some chattering going on nearby. It was clearly a conversation between a boy and a girl. Curiously, Taeyeon decided to go take a look. But there’s one odd thing about this. The voice sounded so familiar, especially the one coming from the girl. 

Taeyeon hid behind the pillar which was opposite the staircase that leads up to her dorm and she turned around to peek. She almost broke down when she saw Baekhyun kissing her very own younger sister Yoona on the cheeks with her own eyes.

She quickly turned around and burst out of tears behind the pillar where the kiss happened. The pain was so unbearable that Taeyeon who was known to be the girl with the strongest heart was crushed into pieces. She slowly squat down as her back dragged against the walls of the pillar. She didn’t care if her dress was going to be dirtied or worn out, she just collapsed.

It was past 9.30 when Baekhyun sent Yoona off to her dorm, which was actually against the college rules, but Taeyeon was too broken to care though it was her responsibility to keep the academy in good discipline.

Tiffany started to worry for Taeyeon’s where-about since she had never been late back to the dorm. She called her for the umpteenth time but Taeyeon was too hurt and furious to even pick up her phone. She could not stop crying alone in pain behind the pillar. But thank goodness Baekhyun did not walk in direction, or else he would’ve seen her.

Tiffany rushed down the stairs with her phone on her hand while shouting Taeyeon’s name in distress. Taeyeon heard her but she didn’t bother to respond.
