Because I Love You (Chapter 28) 

“What’s wrong?” He asked as he flicked the tear drop away using his thumb.

Taeyeon shook her head once again trying to hold back the rest of her tears. 

“You can tell me Taeng….Please don’t worry me.” He pleaded.

Taeyeon can no longer withstand this, the feeling has been in her for too long, she was hiding it to her limit. This was when tears suddenly rushed down her eyes uncontrollably. 

She buried her face into his chest as she cried her heart out, without Baekhyun knowing the reason why. But he was understanding enough to allow her to cry as he decided to ask when she calms down.

“Shh Taeng. Don’t cry. I’m here” He said gently as he caressed her smooth, long blonde hair trying to comfort her. This made Taeyeon feel safe and secure in his arms. But his words made Taeyeon want to cry harder. 

This lasted for almost ten minutes before she finally calmed down and he settled her carefully next to him on the picnic mat. 

It was already getting late, but since it was a weekend, the academy has no rules. 

He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, tugging her head into his chest. Taeyeon could not express herself in words as this was something so unexpected and it didn’t feel like reality at all. 

“Why were you crying Taeng?” Baekhyun finally asked. 

“Ha…It’s nothing…” Taeyeon forced out a laugh as she wiped off her tears with her own sleeves.

“Tell me Taeng…Please….” He begged. 

So she did. 

“I’ve been liking you since day 1 Baek…” She wanted to say love but she thought it was a little to early. “And it was painful to see you and Yoong being together, thinking that you and I will not have a chance. I didn’t want to hurt Yoong either, knowing that this was her first relationship and she’s my only sister. So I kept everything to myself, and Fany of course.
