Because I Love You (Chapter 17)

She hesitantly answered the call and placed the phone against her ears as she spoke “Hello?”

“Good morning Taeyeon-sshi. Am I too early to call?” 

“Ahh no don’t worry, I’m already up. Haha. Anything Baek?” She asked casually.

“Well, umm are you free? Like…now?” 

“Umm….well I have a meeting at 7.30” She tried to give an excuse as she wasn’t ready for this.

“It’s only 7. Could you spare me a while?” He asked pathetically.

“Sorry Baekhyun” She sounded a little guilty. “I have to set up the venue for the meeting so I don’t think I can talk to you now…How about during lunch?” 

“But everyone would be there during lunch, Even Yoong.” He mumbled, but loud enough for Taeyeon to hear. 

“Huh? Why? Don’t you want Yoong to be there?” Taeyeon asked in confusion. 

“Well, I’d love for her to be there but I don’t think she wants me there?” He replied pitifully.

“Wait what? I’m confused.” Taeyeon was puzzled as she heard Baekhyun’s words. 

“I’ll tell you later. Do you think we can go somewhere else for lunch instead? Away from the group?” 

“Umm, but wouldn’t that make them feel weird? Like I’ve never left the group for lunch before.” Though she wanted to, Taeyeon’s voice was filled with worry. 

“Oh uhm… It’s okay then haha….I guess I’ll talk to someone els…” 

“How about after school? Practices will end at 5. I’ll meet you at 6.30 for dinner or something? How does that sound?” Taeyeon cut him off and proposed before he could finish. She was desperate to know what happened and of course she wouldn’t want
