Because I Love You (Chapter 25) 

The dusk finally fell and the blue sky was replaced by darkness with stars from afar shining below the moonlight. 

Taeyeon met Baekhyun at the fountain as they called a cab to the closest open field they could find. 

The drive was less than 10 minutes as both of them conversed non-stop throughout the journey, sharing their knowledge about stars to each other. The journey was filled with only laughter and joy, completely forgetting the questions they wanted answers to. 

When they arrived, Baekhyun didn’t let Taeyeon pay for the ride as he wanted to impress her, and make her feel that he was a gentleman. They both walked towards the middle of the open field soon after Taeyeon mannerly thanked the driver.

Baekhyun was clutching onto a picnic mat while Taeyeon was holding a basket. She prepared some snacks since both of them didn’t have dinner before they came. So it seemed more like a night-time picnic rather than star gazing. 

“Here?” Taeyeon pointed at a spot right in the middle of the field. There were no one else besides the both of them. 

Baekhyun nodded as he opened up the mat and placed it carefully at the spot Taeyeon chose. They both then sat down without uttering a word to each other as they respectively prepared what they brought.

Finally after a whole pause of silence, Baekhyun decided to break the ice. “Taeng?” 

“Hmm?” She looked up as she was busily preparing plates for the sandwiches.
