Hyukjae bit his lower lip as he finally arrived at the movie theater. He looked at his phone and really thought about calling Kyuhyun several times. Was he alright? Were his alright? He ruffled his own hair and closed his eyes to breathe in and out deeply. Did he hit the other too harshly? Maybe he should come back and apologize.

“No…,” Hyukjae frowned determined and slid his cellphone into his pocket, sighing softly because he shouldn’t feel bad when it was the taller who kissed him so suddenly.

But why did Kyuhyun suddenly kiss him?

Maybe he liked him. Maybe he felt something for him. Maybe Kyuhyun was sincere with that kiss.

Hyukjae took his fingertips to slowly trace his lips and he couldn’t help himself but to smile tenderly. He remembered all those times he secretly wished Kyuhyun to kiss him while they slept together or when it was so late that the both of them would burst out in laughter out of simple things. The smile grew wider as he recalled that one time Kyuhyun was so tired he hit himself with the door and he couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.

Chuckling softly, Hyukjae took his cellphone out and looked for Kyuhyun’s number before he felt someone’s hand on his shoulder and he jumped out alarmed, turning around quickly only to sigh out in relief when he saw Donghae there. “You scared me…,” he smiled as the other grinned widely.

“I’m sorry,” Donghae said with a wide smile. “Are you ready? I already bought the tickets!”

Hyukjae bit his lower lip and looked at his cellphone before humming lowly, sliding it once more into his pocket. “Sure, let’s go,” he said, smiling softly.

Donghae was sweet. Maybe too sweet. Hyukjae would smile as the other treated him like a princess. Thing was, Hyukjae wasn’t anything close to a princess. He was also a man and he would rather the other treat him as such. But Donghae was offering him the world for him to take and Hyukjae was sure he wanted to make the world his by his own.

The movie was about to start and Hyukjae sat down with a huge bowl of popcorn on his lap, sighing deeply because although he wanted to watch an action movie, Donghae chose a romantic one and he growled for himself as he fixed himself on his seat. “I’ll go get you something to drink,” Donghae said with a soft smile.

Hyukjae shook his head. “It’s alright, I’m fine with-”

Donghae didn’t listen to him at all.

Sighing out, Hyukjae took out his cellphone and as soon as he turned it on, he looked at Kyuhyun’s name displaying it, just a small touch away from calling him. He bit his lower lip softly and smiled for himself before sending the other a text message. Are your balls alright? I forgot you used them every day.

Hyukjae didn’t even wait ten seconds for the incoming call to arrive and he looked at the screen, feeling slightly anxious. He chuckled for himself. He felt like a small boy nervous because their first love is in front of them. “Hello?” He answered in a low voice. The movie hasn’t started yet so no one bothered him.

“Hyuk, where are you?” Kyuhyun asked as soon as the other answered. “You’re not in a date, right? You didn’t go, right?”

“I’m in the movies,” Hyukjae smiled.

Was Kyuhyun jealous? Hyukjae felt his heart beating faster at the thought.

“Hyuk, you have to take responsibility for my balls,” Kyuhyun said and Hyukjae could only imagine the other trying to act cute. He chuckled.

“Are they alright?” Hyukjae asked, getting comfortable.

It had been a long while since the last time he had a decent conversation with Kyuhyun and he had to admit he missed the taller. He missed talking to him, being with him, laughing together and spending time uselessly with videogames or sleeping.

“Hyuk… could you please ditch your date and come with me?” Kyuhyun asked softly. “Wait, I know where you are, I’ll go there, which movie are you in?”

Hyukjae felt himself getting even more anxious. He couldn’t help but feel excited at the thought but as soon as Donghae came in, his smile disappeared. “I have to go,” he simply said before hanging up.

The movie was so cliché it was annoying. Hyukjae was frustrated already after just twenty minutes into it. He already knew what was going to happen because there were about a thousand other movies with the same plot.
