I managed to somehow avoid seeing anyone for the rest of that week, well except for the final dress fitting for my maid of honour dress. But surely enough, Yoona and Jongin’s wedding was upon us and I was currently in her apartment getting pampered. Jongin was staying with Sehun.

“What’s with that face?” Yoona asked as the hair stylist got to work on her hair.

I shrugged “I just… I don’t know.”

“Jesus, you’d think it was your wedding day.” Krystal rolled her eyes.

I turned to look at her, earning an annoyed look from the make-up artist “It’s a lot of things but it’s got nothing to do with the wedding.” I sighed “Sorry.”

“Well let’s lighten up okay?” Sena said pouring glasses of champagne “It’s not long until Yoona is Yoona Kim.” She winked.

Yoona giggled “Don’t get me started!”

“Yoona Kim!” Taeyeon squealed from the bedroom.

I snorted “Hawk hearing.”

“Do you remember how her and Baekhyun got together?” Nana shook her head “She overheard Baekhyun getting teased by Chanyeol over it and went straight up to him and kissed him.”

“God.” Krystal shook her head “That was a so long ago.”

“The story of you and Yifan is better!” Eunji came running in.

Yuri soon followed “I love this story!”

Kiara shook her head “Really, how many times have we heard this one?”

“Too much.” Sena answered.

Krystal laughed “Okay fine.” She waved her hand “It was at Jongin’s birthday like three years ago.”

“Oh god.” Yoona sighed.

“That bad?” The hair stylist asked.

I nodded to confirm “That bad.”

“Oh shut up you prude.” Krystal waved her hand in my direction “Basically we were playing a game of spin the bottle. It turns out that these two!” Krystal gestured to Yoona and Yuri “Thought that it would be so funny to dare me to kiss him.”

“I still can’t believe you did it.” Nana shook her head.

The make-up stylist who was working on me raised an eyebrow “What did you do?”

“I went one up on that and slept with him in Jongin’s closet.” Krystal laughed.

Kiara burst out laughing “I remember when Jongin realised what you were doing.”

“Oh my god ‘I’ll never wear anything in there ever again!’” Taeyeon mimicked Jongin’s voice.

Yoona burst out laughing “You’re close!”

“Do you guys have any soppy ones?” The hair stylist asked.

Yuri nodded and gestured to me “Jaera tops them all.”

“Oh come on.” I rolled my eyes at them “We’re not even together anymore.”

“Doesn’t mean that it’s any less soppy.” Nana shrugged.

I shook my head “Fine, but this is the last time guys I swear!”
 

Five years ago…

“You have to do it.” Yoona grasped me by the arms “Your ridiculous crush on him has gone on long enough.”

Krystal nodded “I mean you two are the reason we’re all friends in the first place Jaera. Just do it!”

“But what if I ruin our friendship?!” I asked them both “I can’t do this g
