Taeyeon

Four years have pass since I came to the states to study, I was now on my last year of high school. This year my parents didn’t came to drop me off at the school as the previous years. I arrive at the New York airport like around 11 am. I was one of the last one to arrive at the states, all the other girls where already here, my best Yuri stayed here for the summer after she confess her feelings to the ice princess of the group Jessica. Yep she realize that she liked girls around her sophomore year and confess last year to Jessica and she of course answer Yuri’s feelings. I still couldn’t believe that she ditch me all summer for love, I on the other hand struggle with my uality, but over the summer I realize that I felt comfortable with girls more. I told my parents about it and they accepted me just the same.

I was break out of my thoughts went I was engulf in a big hug.

“Taetae you are finally here, I miss you all summer”

“Hey Miyoungie, I miss you too, what are you doing here?”

“Umma Kim call she told me that you were arriving today so I ask one of the drivers to bring me here to pick you up”

But something seen odd, Tiffany did not look cheerful, her eyes show sadness and I did not like that one bid.

“Aish I told Umma not to tell you. I wanted to surprise you, I was planning on visiting you this afternoon”

“I wanted to surprise you too, that’s why I came to pick you up” she gave me her eye smile

“Does your grandma know that you are here” I ask

I met grandma Hwang a couple of times went she went and visited Tiffany at the dorms, she was a very sweat lady and she was always worrying about Tiffany and then soon enough she was worrying about all of us too.

As soon as I said that Tiffany eyes were fill with tear, she started to sob like there was nothing left in the world. I panic what had happen over the summer? This particular summer I was not able to talk to her since I was traveling with my parents, today was the first day I see and talk to her after almost two months of being away. I frown not knowing what had happen to my little roommate over the summer. Why did she get sad when I ask about grandma Hwang? The driver and Tiffany nanny approach me and said their hello.

I look at them they look so tired and sad also, now I was starting to panic, they always seen so happy whenever they saw me but today was not like this.

“Young lady come” her nanny call her, but she wouldn’t let me go

“NO!” she said and hug me even more tightly

“Is ok I can carry her” I said to the lady “just help me with my luggage please” I pointed with my head

“Yes of course miss” the nanny said

“Fany look at me, hey princess look at me” she move her head from side to side

I carry her until we got to her car, as soon as I enter the car the words that came out of my mouth were

“Speak” I said in a very intimidating tone, the driver look at the nanny as in telling her to talk

“Well….yo..u  see over the sum..mer” her stuttering was getting me a little mad, I didn’t get mad easily but went it came to my roommate my protective instincts just kick in

“Can you please speak properly, I am not going to do anything I just want to know why she is crying like that” Tiffany had fallen sleep, which in her it was weird specially went she was with me. She was talkative at this point she usually will be telling me about her summer, but not today

“Wellyouseetheyoungladygrandmadiedoverthesummer” she said while looking down at her lap and fidgeting with her finger”

“I am sorry can you please speak in a tone that I can understand” this was staring to irritate me 

“The young lady grandma died over the summer” she said

“What???” how come Tiffany didn’t contact and tell me this, I knew how much she love her grandma that’s all she would ever talk about. To Tiffany her grandma was everything, grandma Hwang had practically raise her, since her mom was never around.

“When did this happen” I ask

“About a month ago miss” a month I mumble

“How come Fany didn’t call me” I ask more to myself than to the nanny

“Actually no one really knows about her grandma death, her mom also didn’t know until a few days had pass, no one could get in
