Because somewhere behind her screen, Jaemintee still care for that ... thank you for still following around~

as some people might know, I am now working in Seoul and while I'm right in their world, I somehow feel more apart from them than before. It's not always very easy to find time to write, even more difficult to find the inspiration and motivation. But I will do my best to keep going.

Thank you all for sticking with me!

CHAPITRE VII

Changmin had been leaving in Japan since he was five. Despite his Korean blood, he considered himself as Japanese. He spoke Japanese fluently, even better than Korean and his habits, despite some little details, were clearly Japanese as well. Most people meeting him for the first time could only guess his origins thanks to his name. If not for that very obvious hint, he wouldn't tell anyone either.

Despite some occasionnal difficulties caused by his Korean background, he was glad to live in Japan and liked his life the way it was. That was also one of the reasons why he didn't feel any special connexion with fellow Koreans here. Especially not with Kim Jaejoong, no matter how he seemed to see it.

Unlike him, Kim Jaejoong was a real Korean. Born and raised there, following some Japanese course in high school or maybe in university and who came to the country only for working purpose. He didn't know how he ended up working at that company, here in Japan, but for some reasons it didn't really seem to be his choice. He didn't even seem to enjoy living here.

Really, nothing like him at all.

Then, why did the man kept repeating over and over that they were Chingu? They weren't even the same age...

“Because he is simply trying to find some things in common between you and him”, Makiko – one of his close colleague – explained with some kind of pitiful expression caused by his ignorance.

Changmin frowned for being interrupted in his thoughts and focused on her. She tilted her head on the side and refrained from rolling her eyes, ignoring the heavy gaze on her.

“Yes, you asked that out loud if that's what you're wondering,” she replied the unsaid question.

Without caring about his reaction, she motionned toward the counter desk to pay for the snacks and drinks the cashier was gathering for her. Completely ignoring him, she picked them up and started to walk away without a word. Suddenly waking up, Changmin scampered along to join her and grabbed the bottles in her arms.

“I can see this newbie bothers you quiet a lot,” she noted while they walked back toward their office.

“Why did I agree to come with you again?” Changmin asked, ignoring the remark. She chukled.

“Because you needed a break from the boy's attentions,” she looked up at him with smiling eyes and added “which are slowly getting on you.”

Changmin snorted but didn't reply as she started laughing at him. He decided to ignore her on the whole way back, but he could still feel her heavy look and silent comments. He didn't have to look at her for that, he didn't even have to glance to guess her thoughts? He perfectly knew it all too well, he sighed.

If Changmin had to give credits to Kim Jaejoong about something, it would be on how good the guy was to lead people – anyone – exactly where he wanted them to be and without them ever noticing anything. In fact, it didn't take him one month, barely three little weeks, to convince every single soul in their department that he had a crush on Changmin.

Of course, it wasn't true. Far from it. But he seemed to be the only one aware of it. The only one to notice the game going on, this playful competition where he both a player and the trophee.

At first, some of their colleagues genuinely thought they were going out, judging by the suspicious way said guy acted aroudn him and how he always managed to find him on the way to work, to the resting area or at the terrace. Thankfully, they all noticed quite fast how he had to fight the endless attention and push him back. But even this, turned against him, probably following Kim Jaejoong's scheme with the purpose of toruting him more and now, almost everybody around him decided to step in to support what they stupidly call the “sweet one-side love story”.

When they finally reached the office, Makiko quickly picked up the bottles in Changmin's hands as well as the food she had without leaving him his share. He started to protest and caught her arm gently, ready to steal the snacks away. She managed to free herself easily and started to snigger as she looked at him teasingly.

“Nothing for you,” she said with a playful blink. “If you're really hungry, you can have a taste of it,” she added, pointing as the table behind her back as she left.

Sure, he could protest and take his due, but he was a gentleman, not one to fight against a woman.

Changmin looked at the corner of his desk where the small box she had designated was and let out a deep sigh.

Well wrapped in a blue fabric, the little wood box was st
