“Changmin-ah~” Jaejoong called, already walking toward the younger's desk. “I don't get what I am supposed to do with this document.”

Changmin barely had time to react before Jaejoong leaned toward him, slamming an heavy file in front of him. Jaejoong leaned against the desk and didn't bother to avoid their body from touching. Changmin breathed deeply and crossed his both hands in front of his face as a warning. When he looked up, he met Jaejoong's doe eyes and innocent smile. Really, this guy is something he told himself and sighed.

All around the office, Changmin could hear the soft giggles and whisper that spread the moment Jaejoong called his name. He sighed deeper. He couldn't be too harsh on the man since he got along with every single women in their department. They interacted so casually that anyone would believe they were family by seeing them. All of them vowed to protect their kohai and were doing their best to support him to win Changmin's favours. Going against them would literally be a suicide, both professionally and personally.

Few days ago, in the middle of another talk with their colleagues, Jaejoong asked about Changmin again. Korean habit maybe. Being the gossiper they like to be, they almost gave him all the details they remembered about his life. Changmin couldn't even get angry, but after hearing about their age difference, Jaejoong started to casually call him by “Changmin-ah”. He couldn't remember how many time he had to call him on that. Jaejoong seemed to have a great pleasure bothering him and asking him to call him “hyung”.

“Please, I might be younger, I am still your senpai when we are between those four walls”. Changmin said.

“Gotcha, sorry, I'll keep that for our personal time, senpai” he agreed too easily, sarcasm and exaggeration heavy on the last word.

Changmin choose to ignore the whole talk and focused on the document. They have been working on this file for a long time and he didn't doubt Jaejoong knew every detail of it perfectly as well as he did, but he enjoyed to act dumb and ask him the most random questions all day long. Instead of fighting again, which would please Jaejoong too much, he simply replied all his potential questions and tossed him away to go back to his own work.

“Oh I understand... I’m not completely used to the job I guess.” he muttered a bit confused and walked back to his chair.

As time passed by, Changmin grew used to this kind of incidents and surprisingly, it wasn't bothering him as much as he liked to protest. He easily put aside the incident and worked in peace until lunch time.

“Changmin-san, do you have a moment?” Makiko called him before he had time to grab his food, “we will join you in a moment,” she added for their co-workers.

With the look she gave him and her motherly expression, no need to be a genius to guess the purpose of her talk. Since the moment he stepped in the company, she decided she needed to take care of a him like the older he never had. By the way, he could now say freely he was really glad to be the eldest in the family.

“You know, I still think JJ has something for you, despite your saying. He tries to hide it, but really, he can't even look away,” the girl said straight to the point.

Amused, Changmin couldn't refrain his smile, almost ready to laugh. Instead, he smirked, and did his best to not roll his eyes, hard. How could anyone believe this guy more than a second? He looked like an awkward mix between a manga character and bad melodrama actor. It wasn't true, he knew it, yet he was amazed. In fact, Jaejoong never tried to be discreet about his interest, but he managed to convince everybody he was fighting hard to not be too obvious.

To be honest, Changmin knew Jaejoong had a real interest in him, at least a physical one. Despite everything, it was rather pleasant to know. Yet, he couldn't completely understand him yet. Of course, he probably knew much more about him that anyone else, but was it enough? He couldn't keep the man's hope too high, even if he wasn't lily-white.

“I know you do that for the good, but this is really not what you believe it is,” he said seriously, his eyes piercing.

Makiko held his gaze, kind and confident. “I might not know everything, but I have always been good at noticing little details. You might not admit it, I know you noticed it too. You just need to face it now.”

Indeed, aside from Jaejoong usual act, Changmin was now able to notice the few moments the other man didn't seem to overact. He wasn't sure yet it was completely honest and didn't want to believe too easily either. It always happened for few seconds only, when they were together, only the two of them. Whenever Jaejoong was aware of someone else's presence, this sparkle vanished as fast as it came and the public figure came back.
