On Saturday, you auditioned for the extra part in Grease and got it. It was mostly due to your talent in singing and performance skills but Ju Won had helped a lot, too.

On Sunday, it was his day off. So he took you and Youngjae out for a drive. Youngjae was excited and you were happy for him. Dinner at the Chinese restaurant was full of laughter and cooing over Youngjae’s black bean sauce all over his face. After that, the 3 of you went to Baskin Robbins. Ju Won hoisted Youngjae up to let him see all the flavors.

“This one? Or that one?” Ju Won pointed with round eyes excited as Youngjae’s, “Which one should we eat, Youngjae?”

“Hmmm.” He pondered.

You smiled *They’re alike as well.* How could they not be? Ju Won was practically Youngjae’s father. Youngjae had grown up with Ju Won by his side.

With ice cream cones in hand, the three of you left the store. You wiped Youngjae’s mouth when it got messy. Ju Won and Youngjae shared flavors then Youngjae and you shared flavors. Ju Won held his cone out. You blinked at him. He smiled and motioned it towards you with a nod. You glanced around and took a small, timid bite. Ju Won gently wiped the cream off your lips. You flushed pink and looked away.

“Mommy! My cone!” Youngjae squealed. You wiped the dripping ice cream off his chocolate fingers. Finished with the ice cream, you and Ju Won held Youngjae’s hands on either sides. He jumped in the puddles with a shout of glee.
