And There You Stood

I Wish, I See - TaeNy Drabbles

"Blades, knives, and weaponry of any kind is strictly against the rules. This is a serious offense, Tiffany." The principal said, glaring at me.

I rolled my eyes at the ridiculous accusation. "And I'm seriously annoyed that you morons haven't seemed to have figured out that I've done nothing wrong yet."

I felt something nudge my wrist that was next to my hip. Taeyeon.

"Tiffany, I will call your parents and have a translator explain to them what you have done."

I scoffed. "Which is nothing?"

The principal ignored me and left the office.

"Don't make this any worse, Tiffany." Taeyeon mumbled out of the corner of her lips.

"And just how? I cannot believe you, Taeyeon. After all I trusted you with, you throw me under the bus like that? You know the reason I carry that around. It's not like I need the constant reminder of how ed up my life is that I decided to -- Oh look! A shiny! Let's bring it to school with Tiffany, shall we?" I mockingly said.

"I couldn't do anything about it."

"Really." I stated more than I asked, unconvinced.

"Really. They threatened me to spill everything or els-"

"Whatever. I'm leaving."

"Tiff-"

"Shut the up."

I left the school that day and never turned back.

The one person I decided to give my hard-earned trust to stabbed me in the back - No pun intended. Ha, how dark of a pun that would be. It didn't feel nice, obviously. I sometimes go back to the bleachers where I first met her. The place where my demise started.

Today I came back to the bleachers again, only this time Taeyeon was already there. Crying into her knees and mumbling something that I made out to be 'I'm sorry, Tiffany'.

"You're sorry?" I say.

Taeyeon quickly wipes off any tears and sniffs quietly, almost as if she was afraid to cry in front of me. Ironic.

"You said you were sorry?" I repeat. "I'm not."

Taeyeon's puppy eyes stared at me but I refused to be drawn into them like I was last time. It was a huge mistake that I was not willing to make again.

"The thing I'm most thankful for was that this happened. It let me see the real you, Taeyeon."

"I've missed you." Her voice was barely above a whisper.

"I bet you have." And with that I my heel and walked away yet again. This time I was vowing to myself I would never return to this damn town. Never again would I lay my eyes on the sweet-talking Taeyeon.

But I couldn't help myself from looking back after I was quite far away.

Taeyeon had stood from where she once sat and with a longing face just gazed at me.

She's beautiful, yes.

But the beautiful ones are the most dangerous.
