"I want you to find a girl"

Jessica's tone was very plain and unreadable, and Taeyeon guessed that she was covering her feelings, though it was expected because of what happened earlier.

"A girl?"

Taeyeon asked confused, she wanted to confirm if what she just heard was right. Jessica always sends her to missions or to kill someone, but this is the first time she gets asked to find someone, moreover a girl. Jessica took a sip from the red wine before answering.

"Yes, my father has been chasing her ever since she was born, and somehow she managed to escape, but recently we found someone who knows her location yet the girl was killed by the leader of the army that was assigned." Jessica rolled her eyes at the last sentence she said.

"Do you expect me to find a girl in this huge place without telling me how does she look like?"

Taeyeon said sarcastically, she noticed that Jessica was acting very weirdly right now. There was a moment of silence as Jessica was staring at the glass of wine in her hand, circling the rim of the glass with her index finger.

"Appearances change as the person grow up, but not names..am I right?"

She said still staring at the glass when she suddenly sighed and put it back on the table and walked towards Taeyeon crossing her arms staring at her.

"Well, what's her name?"

Taeyeon said getting impatient, she never liked people to beat around the bush with her. Jessica sneered amused by Taeyeon's reactions before answering her.

"Miyoung.."

"Why was he chasing you?"

Taeyeon turned to the girl as she threw her sword that was dripping blood aside to show peace, though her voice was still cold. Eyes locking with the girl, Taeyeon saw fear in her eyes.

"I..don't k-know"

The girl was trying to keep some distance between them, a sign that she was afraid of her..no doubt since she just saw a horrible scene in front of her. Taeyeon knew that and didn't feel the slightest bit offended, but she was rather confused as she thought that the girl was used to see such things, after all this is what their world was basically about.

"You probably know that I won't hurt you, so there is no need to be afraid"

Taeyeon stated as if it's a fact, and noticed that the girl relaxed a little. Awkward silence filled them next as Taeyeon was contemplating on what to say, but stopped when she heard the girl's voice.

"Have you ever felt as if it's just you in this huge cruel world knowing that everyone you once knew is dead?"

Taeyeon blinked, she wasn't sure if the girl was even talking to her. The girl was just staring blankly at the ground, no longer showing emotions in her face. Taeyeon looked at her strangely.

"What do you mean?" She asked and noticed how the girl slightly jumped, seemed to be awoken from her daze.

"N-nothing.."

Taeyeon figured that she won't get an answer in the near future, after all the girl won't trust her that easily, but one thing she understood from the statement, is that the girl was completely alone. Taeyeon averted her eyes to the now dead body of the soldier totally aware of the stare the girl was giving her. For some weird reason, Taeyeon felt obligated, she felt as if she owes the girl. Since every time Taeyeon needed a comfort - which is everyday - the girl would be there to comfort her, though not technically as Taeyeon was sure that this is the first time the girl sees Taeyeon.

And now the girl is obviously in need of protection, and as she stated earlier..she didn't have anyone. Without realizing, words already escaped from Taeyeon's mouth.

"So it seems that from now on you will be stuck with me"

"What?" the girl replied, confusion filled her face. Taeyeon slowly turned her head to the girl and locked her eyes with her.

"I will protect you, and there is no place for rejection"

The tone of her voice was demanding and slightly cold, and that shut the girl's mouth, yet she was dumbfounded.

"So what's your name?"

Taeyeon continued and after a moment of silence the girl answered.

"T-Tiffany.."
