“Your boyfriend is waiting for you.” Hayoung said as Joy turned her head towards the door and sure enough, V was waiting there for her. A smile appeared as she saw him lift his hand up, motioning for her to hurry up. Packing her bag, she waved goodbye to her friends before locking arms with V.

“Ah! They’re so cute together. I want something like that.” Chanmi squealed as she watched V take Joy’s bag with his other free hand.

“I didn’t know V could be such a gentleman.” Hayoung exclaimed. It was a contrast to his hyper self and it no doubt made every girl in the school envy Joy. It had come as a shock to everyone, well almost everyone in school, save a few who had declared they always knew something was going on between Joy and V, when Joy and V came to school one morning hand in hand.

Joy laughed freely at something V had said, no longer conscious of the stares they would sometimes get while walking. It had taken a while for her to be comfortable with V holding her hand and the first time he had reached for her hand she had stopped in her tracks from shock, but now she had been so used to it that she would find herself reaching for his hand before they even started walking.

“Are you doing anything this weekend?” He asked as they crossed the crosswalk where he had first embraced her.

“No. Why?”

“Let’s go on a date.”

V fixed his shirt one last time before pressing the doorbell. The door opened and he smiled nervously at the older woman whom introduced herself as Joy’s mother as she led him into the living room.

“Joy honey. Taehyung is here.” She hollered up the stairs, “I don’t know what’s taking her so long, she’s been up since day break getting ready.” She exclaimed and V couldn’t help but smile at the thought of how Joy would look.

“Please make yourself comfortable. I’ll go get you something to drink.” V wanted to protest but the woman had already disappeared before he could say anything. She reappeared with a drink in her hand, but quickly excused herself when the phone started ringing.

Taking a spot on the couch he placed the flowers he had bought down on his knee and fiddled with his fingers nervously. He wondered what Joy was doing, but his thoughts were interrupted when two figures sat down on the couch in front of him.

“So Joy unnie tells us you go by V.” The older looking one of girls said.

“Are you some kind of alien or something?” The other girl asked as she stared at V, and he thought that if given time, her stare would become more deathly than Jungkook.

“Why do you like Joy unnie?”

“Did you know she complained a lot about you?”

The two went back in forth asking questions without really letting him answer any of them.

“Yah, Park Yerin, Park Yeseo stop bothering V.” V stood up at the sound of Joy’s voice, flower in hand completely forgetting that one of the sisters had just told him that Joy had complained about him.

His mouth dropped open the moment she was fully visible. She was beyond pretty with her hair slightly wavy framing her face and although she was dressed simple, a plan skirt with a shirt covered by a cardigan and a pair of flats, V thought she looked like a princess.

“Heh, unnie look at his mouth.” Yerin said as she came to stay beside the boy who had apparently turned her unnie’s life upside down. She smiled as she looked at her sister, who seemed to be embarrassed from the reaction V was giving her.

“Yah, don’t pick on V.” Joy said once she reached the bottom of the stairs.

“Did my sisters give you a hard time?” Her voice was full of concern, but V didn’t hear any of it because he was still star struck by her beauty.

“Aren’t you going to give her the flowers?” A voice whispered quite loudly in his ear, bringing him back to reality.

“Ah yeah, I got you these.” He said as he the flowers in front of Joy. Giggles were heard all around and he smiled nervously.

“They’re pretty!” She exclaimed as she took them from him and immediately placed them to her nose.

“And they smell really good too.”

Joy laughed as she reached into the picnic basket to grab the blanket they had used for their picnic. She had always wanted to have a picnic so when V asked her if she was busy one weekend she had excitedly thrown out the idea of having a picnic claiming that she would be responsible for bringing the food. She had woken up early that morning to prepare the lunch and couldn’t wait for V to try her cooking, though she was a little nervous, however V didn’t disappoint as he eagerly ate all of her kimbap and the other stuffs she had packed.

It was unexpected when the sky suddenly turned dark and the sky opened up and began pouring. Luckily they had just finished packing otherwise she wouldn’t have something to dry herself with.

V had been grumbling nonstop about how their date was ruined by the rain, but Joy liked to think otherwise as she particular found the rain romantic.

“V come here.” She commanded as she patted the empty space beside her on bench. After running from the sudden down pour, the two of them spotted a bench that had a wooded cover and quickly took shelter under it. V obeyed, but the disappointment on his face remained.

“Oh come on V, this isn’t too bad. At least we got to eat before the rain started.” She pointed out, but V wasn’t budging.

“Yeah, but I wanted to take you on the paddle boats. It would have been so much fun.” He said as crossed he arms.

“Let’s just enjoy the rain okay?” She asked as she handed him the blanket so he could dry himself up as well.

“Fine,” he replied taking the blanket, but instead of drying himself like she had expected, he spread the blanket out and wrapped end around her while doing the same to himself with the other end.

The only sound heard was from the rain as it bounced against the wooded structure. She was becoming aware of her raising heart beat and tensed up when he scooted closer to her in order to let the blanket meet in the middle.

“Relax will you?” She heard him say and couldn’t help but laugh, she was behaving rather childish.

“You’re making me tense.”

He was right, there was no need for her to feel tense. Allowing herself to relax she laid her head on his shoulder.

“See much better right?”

“Mmm..” she nodded her head, and although she loved it when V was hyper and his usual self, she couldn’t help but love moments like these too. Moments where she was able to just enjoy being with him.

Wow! Thank you so much! I know it's not much, but I honestly didn't think I would even get one subscriber when I started writing (A Tale of Aliens), especailly because I didn't think any one shipped V and Joy together besides me....lol let's continue to spread the VJoy (BTS and Red Velvet) love around!

The last chapter was originally suppose to be the "I Like You" chapter, but I couldn't leave it at nine chapters so I decided to write a chapter ten. This chapter is really more of a fluff then a continuation of the story.

This story was also supposed to be like four chapters but I just kept going...lol. Especially because I was recieving so much love and support for all of you guys.

I know I'm not the best author and this story lacks in a lot of area, but I sincerely want to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support, whether you subscribed, commented, or simply viewed this story, from the bottom of my heart. I was only able to keep writing because of you guys. I hope you guys continue to give lots and lots of love to Joy, V, Red Velvet, and BTS (and me...lol)!
