[BONUS] Chapter 28
It's Okay, It's Love“Jongin, can I not go?” I whined to the phone.
“Baby, I’m like a few minutes away from home to pick you up and you’re saying no.” He stated the obvious.
“But I don’t know anyone there. Besides, I have nothing to wear.” I lied, drawing random circles on the dining table.
“I bought you that dress last week, remember? Now don’t lie to me, Baby. And, you know what, let’s talk about this at home. I’m like downstairs.” He said before hanging up.
I sighed. So Jongin had been asking me to go to Henry’s party since last week. He was one of our good friends and as much as I valued our friendship, party wasn’t really my thing – especially Henry’s party.
At first, Jongin said it was entirely up to me but somehow I ended up saying yes and he wouldn’t let me change my mind ever since. That might explain why I was sitting at our dining room, waiting for my dear husband to come home.
Oh right, I forgot to mention that Jongin and I had been married since last August. Although my wedding was nothing near grand, it was meaningful and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Marriage life with the Kim Jongin wasn’t always a bed of roses but it was a path I was willing to take on.
“Baby, I’m home.” He shouted from the door.
I heard him taking off his shoes before going further in to the house.
“Baby?” He asked once he couldn’t spot me in the living room.
Jongin had adopted that form of endearment ever since I commented that it sounded sweet. Well, it really did. In the book.
Remind me again to think before I speak.
“In here.” I shouted.
“Why are you in here?” He raised an eyebrow as he started walking toward me, ing his shirt to make himself more comfortable.
Once he reached me, he placed his stuffs on the table before taking my face in his hands. In one swift motion, he went down to claim my lips.
Kisses with Kim Jongin were always out of the ordinary but I wasn’t about to complain. He gave me one last peck before pulling away to stand up right in front of me.
Due to our current positions – me sitting down on the chair and him standing tall in his glory – I had to strain my neck a little bit.
“Oh, come on. Don’t you dare to use that puppy eyes on me now. You know I can never say no to that.” He complained.
“So does that mean we’re not going to the party?” I asked childishly as I wrapped my arms around his waist.
“Baby, you know we can’t.” He muttered, rubbing my right cheek softly with his thumb.
I like his hands. They were strong, steady and warm. They were my favourite; after his eyes and his smile, of course.
“I told you I have promised Henry to come. With you. And we don’t break promises, do we?” He asked as he rubbed his nose against mine.
“Alright. Let me change first then.” I sighed and headed for our room.
I didn’t mean to sound that disappointed but my voice somehow came out only as a whisper.
“Baby, please, don’t be like that.” He said and grabbed me by my wrist before I could even take my fifth step away from him.
He had a hand on my waist while the other one was on my chin, tilting it up so he could see me right in the eyes. And after all these years, those dark orbs still made my knees turn weak.
I couldn’t be sad in front of those eyes. I couldn’t be sad in front of Jongin, because that would only make him sad and that certainly was not an option on my wish list. So I put aside my sour mood and pouted instead, in my attempt to lighten up the atmosphere.
“If you don’t give me a smile, I’ll kiss you.” He threatened me teasingly.
“You’re asking for it.” He proudly announced before switching our positions so that I was now trapped in between my husband and the table.
It started with just lingering pecks but before I knew it, I was already placed on top of the table and my body was flushed together with his. I had my arms around his neck as we continued savouring each other.
“Why are you always up for business at times like this?” Jongin grumbled after pulling away from me.
I batted my eyelashes, feigning innocence.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I told him before planting kisses on his neck, running my fingers over his abdomen in the process.
Jongin let out a frustrated groan before going down to meet me on my lips again. It was one of the most passionate kisses we ever had thus far and I was enjoying every moment of it until Jongin jumped away from me. I was stunned.
Did I do something wrong?
“Trust me, Baby, I definitely want to continue wherever we left off and it takes so much of me to be this far away from you but we have a party to attend. So, Pretty, please.” He pleaded.
I could only roll my eyes. Jongin said my puppy eyes were deadly. He obviously hadn’t seen his.
“Okay. Fine.” I admitted my defeat.
“But you have to piggyback me to the room.” I stated.
“It will be my pleasure, My Queen.” He bowed and offered his back to me.
I clung to him like there was no tomorrow and this mischievous side of ours never failed to bring a smile onto my face. I snuggled closer to him, allured by his masculine smell. Gosh, even his back looked handsome.
“What are you? Four?” He teased.
“I may be childish but you love me.” I said and stuck out my tongue at him.
He chuckled in response.
“True.” He shrugged before breaking off into a content smile.
Once we were in our room, he dropped me on the bed before I purposely pulled him down. Jongin was a little surprised but didn’t complain.
“Since when have you become this naughty?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, trust me, I learn from the best.” I whispered before closing the distance between us.
And, just like that, we were off to show our passionate love. Henry and his party could always wait.
I surprised you, didn't I? ;)
Hope this clears your Monday blues away! ♡
