Chapter 15
It's Okay, It's Love"What is your problem?" I asked Jongin.
If only he could see the fumes coming off my ears like those cartoon characters, he'd probably laugh at me.
I searched for his eyes and for a few seconds he didn't dare to look at me in the eyes but somehow he changed his mind. And we began our staring contest.
I wasn't about to give up this time and, I guess, he noticed that because I heard him sigh.
"What now?" I asked stubbornly.
"I can't ride a bicycle, okay? Happy?" He said in a deadly tone, looking everywhere but me.
Although the tone he used wasn't very pleasing, I couldn't help but to smile a little. Instead of finding him less perfect, I fell for him even more. Wait, I did not just say that.
I shook my head but managed to flash him a gentle smile. I didn't know what exactly happened to my brain but I took his hand. If I was surprised by my own action, Jongin was bewildered.
His face told me that he wasn't very comfortable but I knew he trusted me. So I gently tugged his body to follow me toward where the bicycle was.
"It's okay if you can't ride a bike. You should've told me. I won't judge you." I said what was in my mind as I adjusted the bicycle to fit Jongin's height.
"I'm Jung Haneul, your personal trainer. Your satisfaction and safety are my ultimate priorities." I said and bowed a little, trying to lighten up the mood.
He looked at me as if I had grown a horn or something.
"What?" I asked once I noticed he wasn't moving.
"Nothing." He said hesitantly but climbed on the bike as I told him to do.
"Okay. I'll hold you. Don't worry. Now just focus on your balance. Don't be scared. You won't fall. I've got you." I told him.
We spent like twenty minutes but Jongin wasn't any better. He was still scared and he just wouldn't pedal fast enough to keep his balance. If I was patient and kind before, I was a total witch by now. This guy was so stubborn that I'd be willing to throw a rock on his head.
Or maybe not. But yeah, you got my point.
"Yah! I told you to-" I didn't even get to finish my sentence because the next thing I knew was Jongin falling over me. Due to the condition of the road we were at, we rolled over to the steep sides and into the field of wild green grasses.
I was sooo close to strangle the very guy lying next to me when I heard him laugh.
At first, he let a small, shy laugh. But after letting out one, he couldn't stop laughing. It wasn't one that screamed 'I'm crazy'. It was more of a 'Finally! I'm free!' kind of laughter.
I looked to my right and admired his beautiful jaws. His laughter was like music to my ears and I couldn't help but to smile. Okay, that was very cheesy. Forget I ever said that.
"I didn't know I was such a bad student." Jongin said and continued to laugh.
"For once, you're absolutely right." I chuckled, prompting myself to get up.
I dusted my shorts off and was about to extend my arm to help Jongin when the guy shot up all of a sudden.
"You're bleeding!" He exclaimed.
I wasn't surprised by the fact that I was harmed. I was more surprised by Jongin's actions.
He grabbed my right cheek ever so gently and blew over the scratch. His face was so close to mine that I almost forgot how to breathe.
He examined my wound (which wasn't that big of a deal, actually) and tilted my chin up to check if I was injured anywhere else.
Once he was sure that I was alright, he looked at me straight in the eyes.
The silence between us was so deafening but none of us dared to move. Jongin still had his hand on my cheek and our eyes were still deep into each other.
The look of pure concern and affection from him had my hopes up. And I couldn't help but to fall deeper.
As I searched in his eyes, I wondered if he felt the same.
Do you feel what I feel, Jongin?
As promised, I'm back with a new chapter! Enjoy!
So... did you like it?
Hehehehehe... See you next time, dears!
