xxviii. Pancake or Waffle

"What do you want for breakfast? Pancake or waffle?"

The manly raspy voice fills the silent morning air in the empty apartment, particularly to no one. Kim Hanbin shifts nervously around the kitchen, trying to find a tool he has in mind.

"I'll take pancakes, thank you very much."

He guesses her cynical voice would answer him like usual—that girl never been so friendly anyway.

"What are you doing?!"

He reaches the pot instead and yes, Lee Hayi would automatically screech like what exactly his mind thinks.

"I'm gonna make ramyeon. I love ramyeon." Hanbin promptly lightens up the silence as his murmur getting a bit louder. He likes to provoke that short chubby girl.

"You fool! Why did you ask me then?! And that's because your not so innocent love to that unhealthy instant food that make you skinny like a bone! Look at you!"

Hayi would be angry—infuriated with face bright red and eyes shooting him a glare and Hanbin almost believe all of those are real.

He blinks with a sudden hit of reality, controls his fastened breath.

"Make me." Hanbin scoffs, tries to sound nonchalant like he always did when they got into heated argument back then. But his voice doesn't sound confident as he can practically hear the tremble of his own words.

The water is boiling and Hanbin
