Slumber
EquationsNote: Hello. I wrote this a while ago, so it's not the doctor's visit chapter (sorry) but I really liked the idea of how the family values the kid, so I hope you'll enjoy it.
Gary picked Jihyo up a little over midnight that day. She just had a photo shoot, and he had to monitor a recording session in the company. She opened the door and he smiled at her.
“Did you have fun?” He asked her and kissed her lips. She kissed him in return and nodded.
“It could’ve been better if you were there.” She laughed. “How was yours? Did everything go well?” She asked in return. He just shrugged, but she knew what he meant. He drove to her mother’s house, and when they arrived, he parked and then woke her up.
“We’re here.” He said. She woke up and looked at him with a smile, her form of saying thank you. They then got off the car and entered the house. Jihyo’s mother and brother were in the kitchen, eating dinner.
“Eomma, I’m here.” She said. Her mother and brother welcomed them back. Gary greeted them and went into Jihyo’s bedroom in her mother’s house. He opened the door carefully and the light had been dimmed. His sister-in-law was there to look after her niece.
“Oh, hyungbo, you’re here?” She greeted him by surprise. He laughed at her response. “You and eonni should have come here later. You should let her stay with us more often.” She complained. He laughed again.
“You should just come and babysit more often.” He said. “You can’t do anything but watch her sleep now anyway.” He added, looking at his sleeping daughter. Knowing that Keia wouldn’t like being woken up, he lifted her and carried her outside, his sister-in-law following behind.
“Eonni!” Jihyo’s sister called out to her. “Why are you here so early! Let her stay with me for a night.” She said. Jihyo laughed.
“Babysit her more often then.” She said. Gary commented on how he said that too, and how their little sister should listen to them. “Or make one.” Jihyo said. Her brother and husband laughed, but her mom hit her lightly.
“Yah! What are you teaching your dongsaengs?” She said, to which Jihyo can only smile. Her mom then changed the topic, “You should go wash up before you go home, it’s almost dawn and you’re still wearing makeup.” She said. Jihyo did as told, she went to her sister’s room to rid her makeup with her sister. Right after they left, Keia woke up in Gary’s arms.
“You’re awake?” Gary greeted her. She looked confused, “Eo… Who’s here?” He baby talked her. She turned around and started to sob. Gary chuckled, he knew what was going on. “Wae? Eomma’s washing her face.” He added, but she only cried, confused after waking up.
In her sister’s room, they were joking while Jihyo wiped off her makeup. She laughed at how flustered her sister is. Their brother opened the door,
“Noona, why
