Geonwoo
EquationsNote: AND BACK!
“Seonsaengnim… Is it possible for me to talk to you for a while?” Gary’s brother said as he dropped Geonwoo off at school. The teacher smiled and nodded. “My wife and I won’t be able to pick Geonwoo up later on. So I asked my brother or his wife to pick Geonwoo up. It’s just a head’s up so you’re informed beforehand.” He said.
“Ah… Ne.” The teacher said. “Can I know their names? Just so I can make sure that he’s with the right person?” She said. His brother paused, debating whether he should tell her their real names or their stage names. It would be easier to tell her their stage names. She would not mistake them that way.
“Kang Gary or Song Jihyo.” He said, nonchalantly. The teacher’s eyes grew wider, but she tried to keep it in. She hid her excitement and surprise. Instead, she calmly nodded and excused herself inside, wishing him a good day.
“Oppa… Ppalliwa.” Jihyo said, calling from the living room. Keia was already tugging on her hand, pulling her to go out. She laughed as her daughter grew impatient. “Your daughter is pulling me out.” Gary pulled up is pants in a blink and got out, following Jihyo and Keia.
“Appa… Ppalli…” Keia said.
“Arasseo, arasseo.” He said, grabbing his keys. They got in the car and headed to pick Geonwoo up.
“What should we get with oppa once he is done at school?” Jihyo turned around, asking Keia. Keia tilted her head to the left and then right, thinking.
“Dubu!” Keia said. And then she paused. “Gogi.
“Geurae…” Gary said. “Eat a lot, grow up, then work hard and then buy eomma and appa lots of food too.” Gary said, earning laughter from his girls. They arrived at Geonwoo’s school, and the three got off the car. They went inside, and walked into the hallways.
“Wa… Jinjja johda.” Jihyo said. “Keia-ya… Should we try sending you to preschool?” She said, looking at her daughter. Keia shook her head.
“Let’s not send her in too early.” Gary said. Jihyo laughed at his whining face. Being on top of the class had never been the priority for Gary, or Jihyo. They didn’t expect their daughter to be a straight A student either if it’d just make Keia stressed out. As long as she is doing fine and enjoy herself, they were pleased.
“Do you still wanna stay home and play with appa and eomma?” Jihyo asked. Keia nodded and smiled. “Do you wanna see?” She asked again and Keia nodded. She extended her arms towards Jihyo, the windows were too tall for her. Jihyo lifted her up and let her see inside. The kids were just lounging and snacking, ready to go home.
“Geonwoo oppa!” Keia called out as she spotted Geonwoo. The bell rang and all the kids went out, only 3 kids stayed. Geonwoo, a guy and girl classmate of his.
“Go in and tell oppa to come out.” Gary told Keia. Jihyo let her down and Keia sneaked inside.
“Apparang gat-i.” Keia said. Gary told her to go alone while Gary wait outside with Jihyo, but Keia pulled him inside.
“A… Annyeonghaseyo.” Gary said as he entered. He boweed lightly.
“Chakeunappa!” Geonwoo ran and hugged Gary. Gary rustled his hair and laughed. Geonwoo then turned to look at Keia and rustled her hair, just like Gary and Jihyo always did his. “Keia, annyeong.” He said, suddenly acting like the big brother he was.
Meanwhile, Jihyo was checking her phone outside and the moms of other kids started coming. She put her phone away and greeted the parents. Nodding her head. The moms who had never seen her here looked like they were caught off-guard. They replied to her greetings and stayed across her. Jihyo went inside to check on Geonwoo.
“O! Chakeun eomma!” Geonwoo said and hugged Jihyo. Jihyo hugged him and patted his back.
“Runningman-i da!” One of his classmates said. Gary and Jihyo laughed in embarrassment.
“Uri chakeun appa, chakeun eomma ya!” Geonwoo said. The two just laughed at him and he leaned on Jihyo. “Can we go eat? I’m hungry.” Geonwoo suddenly said, turning to his aunt and uncle.
“Me too. Me too.” Keia echoed Geonwoo. The other moms entered, getting their kids. The little girl immediately leaped
