Ryeowook's POV

‘I can’t handle this anymore’ I told my self as I walk down the alley towards my best friend’s house. It’s been weeks since we talk, and I know half of it was my entirely my fault. ‘Stupid!’ I nagged myself as I hit my head. If I only handled the situation calmly and smartly we won’t be as awkward as this.

I nearly jumped off my feet when I saw an ice cream vendor near the alley corner. I run towards the man and asked for two chocolate drumsticks. I am sure that Hae can’t say no to this, plus some cute puppy dog eyes of mine. I smiled with the thought of us being friends and close again.

When I reached their front door, I took a heavy breath before ringing the doorbell. ‘This is it!’ I yelled inside my brain.

“Fighting!”, I said all out loud unintentionally with my fist up in the air. Luckily, the door swung open while I’m still stuck with that position.

Donghae's POV

I am busy watching my favorite T.V show when the doorbell rungs. I lazily get off my feet and walk towards the door. ‘Who would visit me at this time of day?’ I asked myself while scratching my head.

“Ahhhh!” I yelled as soon as I open the door. I bowed my head while raising both of my hands up in the air trying to cover and shield my face from being hit. I closed my eyes and wait for a painful strike, but after an excruciating seconds I heard a familiar soft giggled.

“What are you doing hyung?” Ryeowook asked me smiling. Am I dreaming? Is it really Wookie right in front of our doorstep?  I snapped back to reality when he waved something interesting rather delicious in front of my face. I grabbed the thing immediately and smiled like an idiot.

“Yah! You don’t grab something from a person you won’t even bother to let inside your house!” Wookie yelled.

“I’m sorry! Please come inside” I said and then pout while ushering him towards the living room.

We sat there awkwardly while eating our ice cream. I don’t know what to say, and I can’t think of something to start a conversation and what not.

“I-” We both started in unison.

“You go first” I asked him politely and smiled.

“Umm. I – come here today to ummm.” Ryeowook trying to find the right word to say. Well I hope whatever it is it must be good. “I’m sorry!” He continued.

“I shouldn’t just let you hanging when you’re saying something very important. Umm. I know its kinda bit late but I hope we can still be friend, and please forgive me” Ryeowook continued and end up standing from the sofa and made a 90 degrees bow.

“Whoa! Whoa! Don’t do that Wookie-ah.” I stood up immediately and assist him to sit again. I placed my hands on his shoulders and look intently in to his eyes before I continued. “You’re not the one who’s at fault. It’s me, I shouldn’t have rush things up. It is also wrong that I took advantage in that moment and ki-“ I was cut offed.

“Yah! Don’t mention it. It’s still not comfortable” Ryeowook said shyly.

I smiled while I tap his shoulder and stood up. “So how about a make up hug?” I said. Ryeowook looked up smiling and immediately stood up and throw himself for a very tight hug.

“I miss you hyung!” Wookie said while hugging me.

“I miss you too Wookie-ah!” I replied with my eyes closed trying to cherish the moment as possible.

We broke out hug and look in each others eyes.

“Please don’t leave me again like that! Ok? I almost died!” I admit my weakest without any hesitations.

“I promise I won’t!” Ryeowook said smiling, “So bestfriend?” he continues raising his pinky to close the promise.

It is hard for me to comply into something that I don’t want. I wished we could be more than that, but with this opportunity, like us being together and friends. I can easily make my way up there.

“Bestfriend!” I agreed and entwined my pinky finger with him.
