Sica was digging through her refrigerator to find some food. Her stomach was growling loudly.

“Why can’t I find any food here?” she closed the refrigerator hardly.

Sica looked over the kitchen but it was also nothing there. Unfortunately, her parents were on their business trip so Sica was alone there, and worse with no food.

“Should I go eat outside?” she tapped her feet continuously before finally grabbing her jacket and took the key.

But when she opened the door, she saw an unexpected person was standing there while rubbing his arms because of coldness from the morning breeze.

“What do you want?” Sica said coldly.

The person looked up and gave an awkward smile.

“Morning Sica.”

Sica didn’t greet him. “Why are you here?” she said still in her cold manner.

“I wanna talk to you. Please. Just for a while,” he pleaded.

Sica actually didn’t want to let him in, but considering at how cold this morning, she finally opened the door for him.

“Thanks, it’s really cold outside,” he made his way.

“So, talk it fast, Lee Donghae,” Sica crossed her arms and looked away from him.

He gave his smile.

“I’m sorry, Sica.”

The girl froze on her place as that words processed through her head. Did she just hear it? An apology came from this guy’s mouth. A Lee Donghae. Sica was clueless on what he was up to do.

Donghae was standing there, eyed fixed on her, waiting for the girl’s reaction that seems never come. Until he felt something hot on his cheek. The pain because of her anger and disappointment.

“After all you’ve done to me?” Her words were full of anger. She couldn’t believe he could just say it like that. Came to her house in early morning and asking for an apology. Did he think it’s that easy?

 “I’m sorry, Sica. I know this is my fault from the first time. It’s my fault that your heart hurted so much and it’s also my fault that you have to know this bad guy in front of you.” His voice was firm but full of regret.

Donghae knew that this wasn’t going to be easy. But he had to face it, because this is the only possible way. He didn’t want to hurt her anymore. He had hurted her too much when in fact she had never done anything wrong to him.“Although I know I caused all the problems, but I haven’t said sorry to you after all.”

He looked down at her feet, avoiding the stares from the girl in front of her. Sica was indeed furious. But, no matter her reaction would be, he would take it. Because it was merely his fault. He was the one who broke her up and cheated on her. And whatever his reasons were, it couldn’t make his actions acceptable.

“I don’t know if I can forgive you or not,” Sica muttered weakly.

“I know. But at least I should try. I just wanna tell you how regretful I am, Sica. That I’m really sorry to you.”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t see any use of this talk,” Sica said, her fists clenched. “Besides, you look so happy after you dumped me so why now you have to bother with me anymore?”

“I just realize how absurd my act was. And I never felt that way.”

“Don’t play dumbfounded on me. I know you had fun with all girls you were playing with.” She took in a deep breath and then continued. “Don’t think I don’t know how many girls you have been with.”

Sica was right. There was no need denying the truth. Donghae did in fact went out with so many girls.

“Yes, you’re right, Sica. I’m such a jerk. That’s true.”

“See? So what’s the point we’re talking right now. You’re a jerk. That’s it.”

“I was so stupid, Sica. I know that. I hurt you, I hurt Ji-young, I hurt everyone. But you know, I’m not happy. I don’t know how should I explain it to you. I don’t even expect you to understand.”

“Donghae, stop it… please,” Sica responded. “Don’t fool me anymore!” She didn’t want to face him anymore. She couldn’t let his words doubt her. No matter what he said, no matter what he felt now, she had done with him, so no way to look back. She walked leaving him behind.

Donghae dropped his head, his teeth began to grind as he frustatingly clenched his jaw. “I’m not lying, Sica. I’m really sorry to everyone, especially you,” he said behind his shaking voice.

But, there was no answer from the girl. She was standing with her back towards him.

“Sica,” he called .

“What do you want from me!? Can’t you just go away?” Sica responded, still refusing to face her.

“I’m really sorry, Sica,” he admitted once again.

“Then why?” Sica mumbled, spinning around and faced him. “Why did you hurt me like this?” The tears now rushing down her face.

“I-I’m so… sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry…” he repeated, ensuring that his sincerity came through.

Raising an arm to her face, Sica wiped away her tears frustatingly. “You’re such a jerk, Donghae. I really hate you.”

“Sorry…” That was the only word came out from his mouth.

“Okay.” Finally Sica said after controlling her tears. “I’ll accept your apology, but don’t ever think to show your face again in front of me. I’m enough with you.”

“That’s enough for me,” Donghae said before smiling to her.

Sica had already forgot about her plan to stuff her empty stomach, all she could feel right there was numb and tired. She never imagined Donghae would ask for her forgiveness like that. She knew she didn’t have any feeling again for him but still seeing his face was triggering the fragility in her heart. She wished she had someone who could ease her feeling right now.

Yeah, that certain someone she left a few days ago.

“You!” A loud voice from the front door made her on alert. She immediately went to see what happened.

“What are you doing here?” Sica knew this voice very well. It was her bestfriend’s voice. Fany.

“I come to apologize.”

“What?” Fany yelled in disbelief.

“Fany?” Sica called her before she did anything reckless.

“Sica? What are this guy doing in your home?” Fany immediately approached me upon seeing my face.

“Calm down girl, okay? He is saying the truth.”

“Really?”

“I told you.” Donghae suddenly said.

“Shut up!” Fany shouted at Donghae.
