Jiyeon looked at her hands on the table before looking back at Myungsoo’s face.

“He’s… my brother’s friend” Jiyeon said hesitating at first since it makes her depressed everytime she recalls something in connection with her older brother.

“He was the one who helped me send letters to Mr. Yang because he works as a mailman as his part time job, but it’s been a month he haven’t gone to our house that’s why Mr. Yang haven’t been receiving any letters from me” Jiyeon explained while Myungsoo was listening carefully and analyzing every events he knew about JIyeon from what he got as an information from Mr. Yang and what she just said now trying to puzzle everything out.

‘So she became an orphan because her parents died along w/ her brother and her brother’s friend is helping her send letters to Mr. Yang while she got adopted by her uncle and aunt’ he was staring at nothing while thinking deeply, his attention was shifted to the waiter who is now serving their order.

“Is there something else you need ma’m?” the waiter asked Jiyeon who was ready to dig in the food because she has been really hungry from  all the walking the had.

The waiter who was smiling at her tilting his head to look at Jiyeon’s face was snapped by Myungsoo “Ya... how long are you just gonna stay there?” Myungsoo looked at him with a viscious stare.

“Uh...ah sorry sir” he bowed and tried to show a smile at them before going back and take other’s orders.

It’s been raining hard right after they got home, Jiyeon was arranging her things inside her room before she went to the kitchen to arrange the groceries as well.

She looked around the kitchen and began placing the goods on the cabinets and shelves “Why must be the cabinets that high”  she mumbled and sighed before getting a chair for her to step into to reach the cabinets above.

She slowly stepped on the chair and started putting some things they bought from the grocery store above tiptoeing, she did not know that the other foot of the chair is already broken, though she’s not that much heavy the chair collapsed. Jiyeon was about to fall on the floor which was 3 feet away from where she stood before Myungsoo caught her back quickly, she shut her eyes expecting to fall on the ground but unexpectedly felt arms around her from the back, she slowly opened her eyes and saw Myungsoo’s face, she heaved deeply in relief before Myungsoo placed her feet on the floor.

“Th—thanks” she said stuttering glancing at Myungsoo who just kept staring at her face with that spine chilling look before he walked pass by her and went upstairs to the living room.
