Jongdae stifles a yawn as he makes his way through the ambulance bay, sluggishly walking through the first set of automatic sliding doors before entering the second set and seeing unknown nurses in teal-colored scrubs walking in and out of various rooms. He looks around curiously, trying to blink away the remaining sleep still evident on his face. He’s at the Samsung Medical Center an hour and a half before his actual first solo shift starts, but the Head Director of the Emergency Department wanted to introduce him to the day staff before he continues to work the nightshift as a full-fledged nurse the same night.   His crisp new scrub uniform feels uncomfortable as he waits by the empty chair situated next to a computer and the sole printer on the emergency room side of the emergency department. The rest of the nurses’ station looks relatively empty on this side except for one doctor sitting at his desk looking at shoes on the computer and one nurse opposite him who looks busy readying medicine for some patient. He shifts on the balls of his feet, looking around curiously because he’s only ever trained with the night crew of the hospital – he doesn’t know these people – and he jumps when a deep voice sounds from behind him.   “I take it you’re the new phantom nurse of the night crew?”   Jongdae looks over his shoulder, and his eyes widen at the tall height of the other male coupled with large curious eyes. The man is almost as tall as Yifan and Zitao if not the same height. He watches as the man walks around him to get to his chair and he realizes the guy is the charge nurse of the day shift. “Yeah. I’m Kim Jongdae.” He’s blinded by the bright smile the other guy gives him and wow, he’s handsome.   “Park Chanyeol. Charge nurse of the day shift.” Chanyeol then looks around momentarily confused. “I don’t know why Director Sooman wanted you to come at this time. He’s gone for the day.”   Jongdae’s jaw drops at the statement. “What?” He was told he was going to be given some random day shifts and that he needed to come at 5 PM to meet everyone else by the director himself.   Chanyeol shrugs. “He gets off at five and even likes to leave a little earlier if he can. His assistant and the assistant squared should still be here though.”   “I’m not the assistant squared. Stop calling me that,” another man suddenly voices, seeming to appear out of nowhere and the man looks ready to murder someone.
