Coffee Date (Rahyuk)

VIXX boyxboy One-Shots

Wonshik spent his nights dreaming about the maknae's body. What was it like under the nuisance material people call a uniform? Was it pale and smooth? Or was it rough? Did he have abs?

So many questions, so little time.

Wonshik had so much he wanted to tell Sanghyuk, so much he wanted to say but he couldn't do that. There was no way in the world he'd be able to pucker up the courage - no pun intended.

Wonshik was popular - sure - but so was Sanghyuk. Both popular for different reasons.

Wonshik could make absolutely anything cool; he was a hit with the males of the school. They all wanted to be him. His rapping turned the most religious of woman - student and staff - to think sinful thoughts.

While Sanghyuk was popular because he had the voice of an angel, and oh boy did he like everyone to acknowledge the fact. Whenever he had a new girlfriend - and he did have a few can I just say - he would serenade them till the cows came home. He would try out for every musical and every choir performance and always got in. All the girls wanted him.

There were a few things though, a few things that Wonshik had against the younger.

Wonshik was smart.

Unbelievably smart. Extraordinarily smart. The smartest their school had seen in 67 years. In Year 10 he was doing University level work. University work that not even the teachers understood half of. Wonshik was one of the lucky boys who was an all-rounder. He was smart, charming and incredibly talented in athletics. He always made the athletics team.

Now Sanghyuk wasn't too bad. He knew how to handle a soccer ball, was able to shoot a few hoops but he would never be at the standard Wonshik was at. It frustrated the maknae. He looked up to Wonshik; he really did but how in the world was he supposed to go and ask the older for help without ruining the reputation he held for being an independent soul.

--------------

"Sanghyuk, can you stay behind for a moment please?"

The class filed out, leaving the young boy waiting patiently at his desk for his teacher to start explaining.

"Thank you for staying behind, I understand you want to go and sit with your friends. This will only take a moment" she explained softly with a smile. Sanghyuk had always liked this lady.

The minutes passed and his teacher became impatient. She kept muttering things under her breath like;

"Where is he?"

"I told him not to be late"

Another two minutes had passed and suddenly the door to the classroom is burst open and in stumbles a flustered looking Kim Wonshik.

"I'm so sorry I'm late! My teacher asked me to stay behind to help Hakyeon with some troubles he was having and I had to run all the way from the other building to get here"

"That's quite alright Wonshik, come and sit and I'll explain what's going on"

Wonshik looked at the other presence in the room and almost fainted. Right here in the flesh was Han Sanghyuk. He rarely got to see Sanghyuk during the day. Wonshik was a senior and in his last year, while Sanghyuk was a year younger and still had two years to go. It's funny how much a years difference actually makes in school.
Sanghyuk looked beautiful. His uniform was absolutely pristine. Not a single thing out of place. His tie was straight, all the buttons on his dress shirt were up while the shirt itself was tucked into his dress pants and his blazer sat perfectly on his broad shoulders.

Sanghyuk couldn't help but notice Wonshik's appearance; gorgeous as always but today he seemed to be having a bit of a different style. His white hair was tousled and sticking up in every direction - it made him look incredibly y Sanghyuk decided. His tie was quite lose and his two top buttons were undone, while his shirt was half tucked in and half tucked out of his pants. He wore his glasses and they just seemed to be the icing on the cake.

Sanghyuk decided he looked especially delicious today.

"So I've called you both here today to ask a favour of you Wonshik" the teacher explained once the older had finally found his seat.

"Actually more so a favour of your magnificent brain"

Wonshik knew where this was going, and he began to feel nervous. His palms grew sweaty - as well as the rest of his body - and he feared that soon enough he could begin to smell
He couldn't tutor Sanghyuk, he just absolutely couldn't. He'd be too worried about how beautiful the boy looked up close, rather than how beautiful all the Math equations were.

"Sanghyuk would like to get into a very prestigious university but they will only accept him if he receives all A's in his subjects from now until the end of Year 12. Right now he's sitting on low B's and high C's. Would you please help this boy Wonshik?"

As the older male looked back towards the younger and saw the latter had this look on his face, this look that showed his begging eyes and concerned facial expressions. It was then, as he looked at the boy he loved, Wonshik agreed to help young Sanghyuk.

Ten minutes, a pat on the shoulder and one hug later both boys were able to leave the classroom for lunch.

Wonshik began on his way towards his group of friends when he heard the soft, yet still melodious call of his name.

"Wonshik hyung!"

No, no, no, no!

Wonshik just wanted to escape and hide away so he didn't have to face the embarrassment of having to touch Sanghyuk's glorious body again.

Plus he needed to borrow Hakyeon's deodorant.

Wonshik turned around to face the boy he loves, a smile not far from his lips at even the thought of Han Sanghyuk.

"I just wanted to thank you again for this, I honestly don't know how to repay you" Sanghyuk's grin is as wide as the moon when he looks up - or just about straight ahead considering he's had a growth spurt - to his hyung.

"You don't need to repay me, honestly Sanghyuk" Wonshik didn't want to take anything from the boy - in any way - and so he refused to accept anything from the younger.

"Please? I'll feel horrible! You're lending me your mind, the least I can do is buy you a coffee after school or something. Please? Anything you want and I'll give it to you"

Wonshik cursed the boy mentally and wished he had used his words differently.

"Anything you want and I'll give it to you"

No Sanghyuk, don't say that. Please don't say that, the older begged.

Before he knew what was happening, Wonshik had agreed to this 'coffee date' that wasn't a date but would be a date in his mind.

"A coffee after school doesn't sound so bad."

Sanghyuk grinned from ear to ear and his voice was just laced with excitement.

"Great! How about this afternoon? If you're not busy?" The young boy seemed so happy that Wonshik couldn't bare to kill his happiness.

"I have soccer training this afternoon..." The older bites his lip and wants to just die when he sees the younger's face drop.

"But we can go after!" Wonshik quickly finds the resolution. He pats himself on the back mentally when the smile is brought back to Sanghyuk's gorgeous face.

"That sounds great! Well I'm going to go to lunch, but I'll see you this afternoon Wonshik hyung!"

Wonshik couldn't stop himself from staring at the boy's as he walked away.

------------------------------------------

"What movie do we want to watch this afternoon?" Jaehwan's loud voice rang throughout the school cafeteria, earning a glare from Taekwoon.

"Oh I forgot! I won't be there until later, I'm going out for coffee with Wonshik hyung" Sanghyuk smiled at Jaehwan, before looking down at the food sitting in front of him. Suddenly Sanghyuk feels something hit his forehead and he looks up in confusion to see that Jaehwan had thrown his sandwich.

Taekwoon and Jaehwan's faces wore shock and outrage. Jaehwan and Taekwoon never had anything matching let alone matching faces and Sanghyuk began to feel nervous.

"W-What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Wonshik? As in Kim Wonshik?" Taekwoon asks. Sanghyuk nods slowly, giving his friend a confused look. "As in the Kim Wonshik, head of every sports team and absolute genius?" Jaehwan is the one to ask this time. Sanghyuk laughs and nods.

"It's really not a big deal hyungs. Isn't he in some of your classes?"

Sanghyuk remembers Jaehwan coming to lunch one day, red as a beetroot and steam coming out of his ears in annoyance because Wonshik had called him out to be wrong in front of the whole class.

"Not a big deal? This is the boy you've had a crush on since you got to this school Hyuk! Not to mention the fact that Taekwoonie has already planned Hakyeon hyung and his own wedding"

That smart comment earned Jaehwan a kick to the shin and smack to the back of the head.

Hakyeon was Wonshik's best friend since kindergarten - Hongbin being Hakyeon's stepbrother - so with Hakyeon, always came Hongbin. Hakyeon was the choir and dance captain, while Hongbin was the president of the photography club. Wonshik was, like Jaehwan said before, the captain of every sports team. Not mention the president of the Mathematics club - the undefeated Mathematics club.

In their little group was Jaehwan, Taekwoon and Sanghyuk. Jaehwan was the funny man of the school, the whole school knew that as a fact. Taekwoon was the exact opposite of Jaehwan, I mean the guy rarely smiled and apart from the little group of their's; no-one knew him. Sanghyuk was well-liked, well known amongst the school. His teachers loved him, and almost all the student body; there were always some who didn't but Sanghyuk never let that get to him.

"So? It's only coffee" Sanghyuk rolls his eyes at his friend's freaky antics. They really were having a buzz about this.

"Just coffee? Sanghyuk this-this could be the start of an amazing journey! This could the start of yours and his relationship! Imagine that, being the boyfriend of the most loved boy in school. You'd have not only Wonshik to protect you from the homophobic pricks, but Hakyeon hyung and Hongbin too! Sanghyuk grab this opportunity with both hands and run with it"

"I think the saying you're looking for is take the ball and run with it; or in this case take his balls and play with them"

Jaehwan snorted before laughing obnoxiously at Taekwoon's small yet incredibly dangerous statement while Sanghyuk's skin burned as all the blood rushed to his cheek.

Then it was time for Taekwoon's words of advice.

"Don't you dare act like a pansy and ruin this. You hear me?"

So encouraging, thought Sanghyuk. The young boy nodded just as the bell rings. He had a study period and then Physical Education to end his day. Then he'd be spending his afternoon with Kim Wonshik, buying him a coffee on a coffee date that wasn't a date but would be a date in his mind.

------------------------------------------

As Han Sanghyuk walked past his friends that afternoon, he smiled brightly at the always-frowning Taekwoon and the thumbs-up smirking Jaehwan.

Wonshik had caught up to him after the lunch bell to tell him to meet at the fields and then after practise they could go; so that's where young Sanghyuk was headed.

He passed a few others and they gave him big smiles and admiring eyes but he paid no more attention to that than he usually would. He was going to see Kim Wonshik; he couldn't believe it.

The young boy strutted his newfound happy attitude towards the soccer fields where he moved to sit in the grand stand. He waited a few moments until he heard loud voices and cheering of some sorts as the soccer team filed out from the locker rooms.

He searched frantically for Wonshik, a huge smile ripping its way onto the maknae's face once he finally spots him. It was only the back of his head, but still he looked absolutely wonderful.

Wonshik was talking with Hongbin as they stretched. Hongbin was a part of the soccer team as well, he enjoyed the masculinity of the game - masculinity that hides the femininity of his soul. While Hakyeon preferred the femininity of dance, he spared no thought to how girly he looked with his tights or how he giggled with the other girls after class about the gossip rolling around school.

"So you're really going to get coffee with this guy?" Hongbin asks, his curiosity finally getting the better of him. He would've asked when Wonshik told him, but the silencing look from his step-brother made him rethink his need to ask the question. But now, when Hakyeon wasn't here he had more courage to ask; Wonshik was his friend after all - not just Hakyeon's.

"Sanghyuk? Of course. Why not? The kid offered to buy me coffee" Wonshik shrugs acting as if it was no big deal; but it was such a big deal. Wonshik was overwhemed by so many emotions that he genunely didn't know how to feel.

"Why not? How about because it's weird?" Hongbin offers, eyebrows raised and a tone of voice that seemed to be mocking his hyung. "Why's it weird?" Wonshik asks. There could be a few reasons that the older could think of but only if he had to or when his paranoia about going out with his crush finally set in.

"He's a year younger than you hyung, and you have a reputation to uphold; I mean you can't be seen hanging out with such a preppy kid"

The older frowned momentarily at Hongbin's words, There was nothing wrong with going out for coffee with a boy only one year younger, especially if Wonshik was going to be tutoring the boy. They'd be spending a lot of time together in the future.

"What straight guy goes out for coffee with another - supposedly - straight guy? Like seriosuly hyung think about it" Hongbin wasn't being rude, no he just wanted to help his hyung see the truth and Wonshik could absolutely see what the younger was tryng to say...but something ele came to mind.

"You're right Binnie, what two straight men go out for coffee? We know I'm not straight, God not in the slightest, so that must mean that Sanghyuk isn't straight either which means that I actually have some sort of chance with this kid!"

Hongbin could only stare wide-eyed at his friend. Was that really he all took from that? Wonshik was whipped, and it was going to take more than a few half-hearted words from Hongbin to make him snap out of it.

The coach blew the whistle and training started as per usual. Laps upon laps, drills upon drills. Only half way through the session did Wonshik finally notice Sanghyuk. The young boy sat up on the grand stands, a grin as big as the moon on that gorgeous face of his.

Wonshik outsretched his arm and waved slightly at the younger who returned the wave almost immediately and with such force Wonshik thought his arm would fall off. He could tell the younger was still in his uniform; and from what he could see Sanghyuk sat there with his knees toegther and hands folded delicately, resting on his knees.

He was so pure and so goddamn innocent.

Wonshik had no idea how he was going to get away with having not just a crush, but a loving affection for this boy. Sanghyuk felt the same way towards the older, and he knew he looked innocent; he just didn't want to be. It was the way he was so he'd have to accept it.

------------------------------------------

"Have fun on your date" Hongbin teased with a smirk. A blush crept it's onto Wonshik's as he pushed his friend away slightly. "Don't forget to put on some deodorant hyung, you stink worse than Hakyeon hyung does after dance"

Wonshik's eyes widened and he quickly dug through his bag to look for his can of deodorant, he did NOT want to stink like Hakyeon; on any day let alone the day he was going out for coffee with Han Sanghyuk.

The younger simply laughed and walked off knowing that his step-brother would be waiting for him at the front of the school and it was never pleasant to leave Hakyeon waiting; especially after dance practice and he had so much gossip to tell his young step-brother.

Wonshik began to walk towards the grand stand where Sanghyuk had come down to wait for his hyung at the fence seperating the fields from the stands. The smile Wonsik sent the younger was full of awkward tension but the maknae noticed nothing and just grinned his grin, which immediately made most of the tension go away. Wonshik was thankful becaue he sure as hell didn't want this to go awkwardly.

------------------------------------------

The pair had long since made their way to the cafe down the road from their school. Words flowing out of their mouths like it was the easiest thing in the world, laughs escaping at every moment possible. Hours had passed and the pair continued to talk; hyung to dongsaeng, dongsaeng to hyung; boy to boy; friend to friend. The awkwardness had long passed, and more than one cup of coffee had gone through their midst. The owner of the cafe walked over regrettably and informed the boys that it had in fact been time to close more than half an hour ago; so with sad eyes and aplogetic smiles the boys left the cafe.

"So this...was fun" Wonshik smiled, agreeing with the younger 100%. "That it was" the older only thought it aparopriate to agree verbally, although no words could describe how much he enjoyed this afternoon - and evening as the sky above them had now grown dark and dreary.

"I should probably be getting home now, my mother will be having an absolute fit". Sanghyuk couldn't help but chuckle at Wonshik. So he had the same problem with his mother too?

"Yeah...yeah I guess I should too"

Neither boy made a move to leave, because nether boy wanted to...at all. They were enjoying each other's comany so much that even the thought of not being near each other made their hearts ache.

"How are you getting home Sanghyuk"

The younger could've died right then and been happy. The way his name just rolled off of Wonshik's tongue excited him. He hated being called 'Sanghyuk' but he knew he would never scold Wonshik for calling him that because for once in his life he thought his name sounded beautiful.

"B-Bus" the younger couldn't help but whimper. Wonshik's tone was dark and daring, but not at all threatening or scary. He cleared his throat and spoke louder again this time. "I'm catching the bus back to Jaehwan's".

"Would you like me to drive you?"

Wonshiks words echoed throughout the maknae's mind and the prolonged silence had Wonshik trembling in anxiety. "I mean only if you'd like, it's just it's getting dark and I'd hate for anything to happen to you on the bus"

------------------------------------------

Half an hour later and the boy's had arrived in front of Jaehwan's small excuse for a house. Sanghyuk turned towards Wonshik, a smile being brought to his face immediately as he sees Wonshik already looking at him.

"Hyung, I just-I just wanted to say thank you again, you know for agreeing to tutor me"

Wonshik blinked twice before frowning slightly. He had completey forgotten. He had forgotten why they had gone out for coffee - a show of Sanghyuk's thanks. He felt upset, angry with himself but most of all sad. It wasn't a date and he was a fool for even thinking so.

"Oh...Oh well you're extremely welcome Sanghyuk. I just hope you get the marks you need. I can understand how important this must be for you, so I promise I'll try my best for you"

Before anything else could be said Wonshik felt a weird sensation on his cheek, and a shocked gasp escaped his mouth as he saw Sanghyuk's beautiful puckered lips moving away from his cheek.

"Thanks again hyung"

Wonshik watched as the young boy he cared so tenderly for run off into the rain and into the already open front door of Jaehwan's house.

Sanghyuk had just kissed him - on the cheek - but a kiss nonetheless.

Could this have been a Coffee Date after all?

P.S I felt so bad for not putting Taekwoon in Wonshik's group so he could be the one in the soccer team but I felt like it worked better with him in Sanghyuk's group.
