Friday night finds Chanyeol and Baekhyun at the entrance of an exquisite club in Gangnam. The rest of the clique had already arrived and were waiting for the couple who came straight after their show. Most of them were clad in leather and skinny jeans and Chanyeol thanked God that Kris was kind enough to drop by the studio with clothes for him at Baekhyun’s request.  He thought the patterned leather clutch Kris made him carry instead of his back pack was rather feminine but he soon noticed that everyone else from Chen to Xiu Min carried the rectangular envelop that was similar to his and breathed a sigh of relief.

“Ready to party?” the emergence of an authoritative voice had the group hushing before erupting into loud cheers and Chanyeol gaped as he stared blankly at their boss who was decked in an all black ensemble completed with leather jacket, extremely ripped skinny jeans and combat boots. Sehun’s usually neatly gelled hair rested in a messy heap that resembled bed hair and beside him stood Luhan in a similar style. “Since I promised Luhan, this is a little something for working so hard. Go all out, everything’s on me!”
The clique roared with cheers and whistles and Chanyeol nearly tripped as he got pushed along into the dimply lit space.

Sitting in his spot at the private booth, Chanyeol watched the flashing strobe lights bounced off Baekhyun’s sparkling eyes as his boyfriend twisted about on the dance floor with Chen. Beside them, Sehun, Kai, and Lay seemed to have started a dance competition of some sort amongst themselves and he marveled at how even the usually sleepy and quiet Lay blended into the atmosphere so naturally. And yes, he still can’t quite get over at how normal their boss looked right now as he busts a couple of moves with a playful smirk on his lips.

“Are you not having fun?” Luhan sidled up beside him with two glasses of liquor, ing one into Chanyeol’s hands.
“No, it’s great seeing everyone relax and unwind! I’m just not very good at places like this.” Chanyeol took a dubious whiff at the alcohol and decided on one mouthful. It sent a burning sensation down his throat and he nearly choked.
“Snap, I didn’t realize you might need your drink mixed.” Luhan worked swiftly with the bottles on the table and mixed two drinks into a new cup. “That was purely vodka in a cup. Sorry!”
“It’s okay.” Chanyeol accepted the new drink gratefully and took a tiny tasting sip. This time it was sweet, and so he took a bigger gulp. “Sehun is scary.”  
“Sorry?” Luhan looked as though he was going to burst into a laughing fit. “What’s so scary about him dancing?”
“I mean,” Chanyeol took another swig of his drink for good measure. “He usually walks around expressionless and threatens to kill us in some of the most grotesque ways.”
“You’re hilarious, Chanyeol!” Luhan does burst out laughing this time. “Work Sehun can be very serious but we’re off work now! Enjoy yourself; Sehun isn’t going to kill you tonight. Or maybe I’d ask him to if you don’t loosen up right now. Later!” and with that, Luhan slid out of the booth to offer their boss a drink. Somehow his assurance about Chanyeol’s safety tonight lands him in more of a nerve wreck than before and the giant has to down his entire glass in one shot in bid to clear his mind.

Whatever the sweet stuff was, it had worked its magic when Chanyeol placed the glass back on the tabletop with a heavy thud and Baekhyun came to ask him to dance. Somehow, he found himself dancing between Baekhyun and Chen who took turns trying to get him to shake his around – what they told him was twerking when Chen demonstrated and Chanyeol secretly thought Sehun would pull off that move most perfectly amongst them all. Then he groaned at the realization that he had just checked out his boss’ and now he couldn’t unsee that thought.

Chanyeol was pretty sure he would die of embarrassment after twerking – or attempting to – at Baekhyun’s insistence and the bunch roared in hilarity as they tripped and shuffled into their booth. Baekhyun protectively wrapped his arms around Chanyeol’s head, blocking his sight as he glared at every single one of them with his heavily lined eyes. “Stop. Laughing. At. My. Boyfriend!”
“Okay, okay.” Chanyeol heard Sehun muttering and when he looked up the boss was surrendering with his hands raised in the air. That alone was enough for Chanyeol to break into an amused smile and before long the bunch was doubling over laughing again. Out of the corner of his eyes Baekhyun thought he saw Lay chuckling and falling into Suho’s chest and the latter flushing red, but the strobe lights swept past their booth and left them in too much darkness for him to reconfirm.

Chanyeol could barely raise his glass without tipping it over him and Baekhyun as Sehun stood up to give his speech. “Firstly, congratulations to Chanyeol and Baekhyun for clinching first place in your timeslot! I expected nothing less anyway with the salary Baekhyun demanded Chanyeol to receive. Secondly, Double K had slayed the rest with ratings triple of everyone else in their timeslot and set a new record!” He got interrupted by Kai jumping on Kyungsoo for a celebratory kiss and paused his speech for them to be done. “Our station is champs again and I appreciate all the effort and hard work that Suho and every one of you here put in. Luhan would have a difficult time convincing me otherwise to throw this party but yeah, all of you better thank Luhan before I—“
