Wrapping himself snugly with his blanket, Chanyeol shuddered with the force of his sneeze as he padded barefoot towards the door of his studio apartment. The incessant ringing of his doorbell was worsening the pounding in his head but it cleared immediately when the door opened to reveal a literally beaming Baekhyun. The lights overhead in the corridor cast a glow on Baekhyun and coupled with his square smile, Chanyeol thought he resembled an angel. “Surprise!” Baekhyun exclaimed and pulled a paper bag to his face. “I bought porridge too!”

Leaving the door to close behind them, Chanyeol immediately jumped back into bed, snuggling against the soft comfort of his many pillows with his eyes following Baekhyun’s figure as the latter went into the kitchen to heat up the porridge. “I never knew you belonged to a band.” Baekhyun’s eyes trailed across the space to take in the drum set, keyboard, and guitar resting on its stand when he finally waltzed out of the kitchen. “Or that you like the color white.” He made his way over to Chanyeol’s bed and placed a hand over the giant’s forehead. Although Chanyeol had been over to Baekhyun and Luhan’s countless times, this was the first time for Baekhyun to set foot into his. And he hadn’t even realized until today. There is practically no color scheme in his house besides white, save for the occasional black accents on the pillow covers and rug. Even his instruments matched the black and white theme.

“I don’t belong to a band.” Chanyeol attempted to laugh but wounded up a coughing mess instead. “It’s just a hobby.” He squeezed out in between wheezes.
“You sure are generous when spending for your hobby.” Baekhyun eyed the drum set.
“I couldn’t afford a proper piano though.” Chanyeol curled up by Baekhyun and rested his head on the latter’s lap with a contented sigh. “And you really shouldn’t have come. I don’t want you to fall sick as well.”
“Says the one who is using my lap as his pillow.” Baekhyun flicked him on the forehead playfully before placing a kiss where it hurt when the giant scrunched up his face. “You become a kid when you’re sick, don’t you?”
“I hardly ever get sick and my height doesn’t exactly suit the whiney image well. I prefer to think of it as making full use of an opportunity.” Chanyeol grinned widely with his eyes squeezed into slits. As he looked at the grown man with flushed cheeks (courtesy of the mild fever) grinning up at him so innocently, Baekhyun couldn’t help but plant his lips over the giant’s. It was a chaste and sweet kiss.

The discovery of Chanyeol’s empty fridge and cupboard full of instant noodles nearly drove Baekhyun mad when he attempted to search for some side dishes to go with the porridge. Glancing quickly at the sleeping figure in bed, Baekhyun crossed his arms and frowned in disapproval. He might be a failure at many things that involved household chores, but he would never allow himself – let alone Chanyeol – to go about on such an unhealthy lifestyle. Locating a garbage bag, Baekhyun rolled up the sleeves to his shirt before setting out stacking every single cup noodle into the bag. He made sure to clear out the top and bottom shelves, discovering and throwing out a few packets of expired cookies in the process. He didn’t stop until every single cupboard door was pulled wide open and he planted his hands on his waist proudly as he scanned the now empty cupboards.

Chanyeol was still sleeping when Baekhyun returned a good hour later armed with so many bags on both arms that he finally admitted that he might have overestimated himself. Nonetheless, he didn’t take a second to rest as he nimbly replenished the empty cupboards with various cooking condiments, cookies and packets of instant hot chocolate and coffee. He then filled the refrigerator with a carton of milk and fruit juice each and vegetables and meat that should last at least three days. He also stacked in containers full of side dishes and filled the bottom with a variety of fruits. It was safe to say that the refrigerator barely closed without Baekhyun putting all of his weight on the door.

The sun had nearly set by the time Baekhyun was finally ready with the meal. As he approached the bed, he recognized what was soft chuckling from Chanyeol and he bent over in amusement as he studied his sleeping boyfriend. A part of him was reluctant to wake Chanyeol up from whatever sweet dream he was having but the giant had been sleeping for too long. “Chanyeol?” he shook him gently by the shoulder. “Time for dinner!” he softly crooned by his ear and smiled when Chanyeol opened his eyes just a tiny crack. “What were you dreaming of? You were chuckling in your sleep.”
“Was I?” Chanyeol was so bad at lying that he avoided Baekhyun’s gaze as he hurriedly scrambled into sitting position. “I wasn’t having any dreams though.”
“Really?” Baekhyun sat down beside him and balanced the tray on his lap as he scooped a tablespoon full of porridge and placed it by Chanyeol’s mouth. “I’m never g
