Regardless of how many upbeat songs he played back to back, Baekhyun just couldn’t get himself to calm down enough for his show. ‘This is bad.’ He frowned as his gaze bore straight into the computer. ‘I can’t concentrate and I’m over running. This is all Chanyeol’s fault!’ With a few merciless clicks, he decided to get rid of all the upbeat tracks since they did nothing to lift his mood and settled on a list of songs about heartbreak instead.

The digital clock on the wall flashed 10PM when Chanyeol finally made his way through the doors of the studio. He had changed out of his suit and was wearing a hoodie ped over his shirt and jeans – not that Baekhyun would admit to even sparing him a glance when he’s still angry with the giant.
“Baek?” Chanyeol’s nervousness was given away by his tightly clenched fists and the uncertainty in his voice. Ignoring him, Baekhyun snatched the headphones off the panel and placed it snugly over his ears as he his microphone.  
“That was a really relatable track, Teardrops on my Guitar by Taylor Swift, requested by Yi Jung-ssi. You said you’ve been harboring a crush on a really close friend for years now but never dared to confess because you were afraid of jeopardizing your friendship and recently you found out that he seems to be getting back together with his girlfriend who broke up with him a year ago. I don’t know how to console you, Yi Jung, but perhaps it’s time to let go of him now. If he felt the same way towards you, he should’ve known how you’ve always been there catching him whenever he falls.”

“You know, sometimes fate plays tricks on us all. Just when you think you’ve found the right person, something would happen and throw everything off course.” Baekhyun spared a glance in Chanyeol’s direction and realized that the taller had been gazing intently at him all these while, his fists no longer clenched with an unreadable expression on his face. “If you’ve experienced it too, please give me a call. I’d love to listen to your stories. Back to the music, this is 2NE1 with Missing You.” paying no heed to Chanyeol who took his usual position on the opposite side of the panel, Baekhyun switched off his microphone but opened the phone lines, picking up call after call and sometimes dragging the conversation out just so that Chanyeol would get the hint and leave. To Baekhyun’s surprise, the giant really did. And for some reason, it made Baekhyun’s heart constrict. By the time he was done with the third call, he was mentally drained from listening to the stories of heartbreak that his listeners shared and was ready to close off the phone lines when one blinking light showed up on the monitor.

“This is Love Songs with Baekhyun. Who’s this on the line?” closing his eyes as he spoke, Baekhyun used his free hand to massage the area between his brows.
“Chanyeol.” Baekhyun’s eyes sprung open immediately at the familiar voice coming from the other side of the line.
“How may I help you, Chanyeol-ssi?”
“I think I made my boyfriend angry and I need some advice.”
“What have you done to make him angry then?” Baekhyun rolled his eyes. ‘Damn it; trust Chanyeol to be taking advantage of my phone lines! I knew it, all novelists are secretly scheming!’
“I honestly don’t know. I wouldn’t be so troubled if I did.” His usually cheerful voice sounded sad and lonesome. “We were chatting just fine, and then I saw my ex girlfriend. We haven’t seen each other in a while so we started catching up for a bit and suddenly my boyfriend got really mad at me. It’ll be nice to know what you think made him so upset.”
“Maybe it was something you said that made him upset. Or maybe he can tell you’re still in love with your ex. Who knows? I’m not your boyfriend so I definitely wouldn’t know. I have to go now so good luck and bye.” Cutting the call with an angry jab of his finger, Baekhyun pouted and ripped the headphones off his head, in time for Chanyeol to burst through the studio doors with the tips of his ears red.
“What do you mean you’re not my boyfriend?”

Baekhyun looked at him blankly and shrugged. “I don’t get what you’re talking about.”
“The phone call!” Chanyeol waved his mobile phone agitatedly. “You said you’re not my boyfriend!”
“Oh,” Baekhyun pretended to be hit by the sudden realization. “So you were the one on the line.”
“Of course it’s me! How many Chanyeols do you know?” admittedly, Chanyeol looked freaking adorable with the forlorn expression similar to that of a kicked puppy and Baekhyun felt the urge to cuddle up against him.
“There could be many people named Chanyeol in the world-”
“But there’s only one Chanyeol who is your boyfriend.” The taller interrupted as his legs took long strides over to Baekhyun’s side of the control panel, trapping him before he even had a chance to escape. ‘Damn his superior genes.’

“So taking your advice,” Chanyeol easily had Baekhyun trapped between him and the panel. “I think I need to talk to my boyfriend. Can you please tell me what was it I said that
